Thank you both. My wife is Ukrainian raised in former USSR. I’m a born and bred American who recently discovered my Armenian heritage and even adopted my Armenian family name; Derderian. We went to Hayastan (Armenia) in 2017 and have gone each year even during COVID. Definitely plan to retire there. So happy to see people enjoying this enchanting land and culture and bringing it to the world. Thank you!

I need to visit my family In Armenia. Gumretsi is my dads ancestry. I love and cook Armenian food. My grandmother ate brains and my mom cooked tongue before priced skyrocketed. It is delicious!
Very interesting video, thank you! I never had cow's head, but I ate sheep's head several times, indeed an adventurous range of tastes and textures for us dedicated carnivores.

Beef tongue is considered a delicacy in Russia and neighboring states... I never seen it on a menu in US restaurants but it is available in US supermarkets... for about $40 a pound ($80 a kilo)
Hi guys! Could you maybe post link or at least name in local language of the restaurant in Gyumri? I am currently in Yerevan for work, and was thinking of visiting for my bday end-October - thank you =)
many thanks to you two, that could introduce to us , for us to get to knows others countries life, lives and tradition and cultures...,like and so much....
Great video! That family really has it going on. They're driven and determined to succeed. Good for them! I might have to draw a line on the cow head meat. It would definitely be a new, cautious tasting for me. But if you ate it, I probably could, too!
Thank you so much Lyn, really glad you enjoyed it 😘 We really loved spending time with the family, could just see how much they love what they do, it's so infectious! P. S. We would hold each others hands as we eat the head together haha 😀❤️
Armenia may be a small country now, but used to be a lot larger. Much of Armenian lands are occupied by the Ottoman Turks (the current country of Turkey) and the people of Aaran who have adopted the fake name (1918) of Azerbaijan for their fake country. Ottomans and Azeris have money and guns, so for now they are prevailing in depriving Armenians from reuniting its people and lands. Throughout history Armenia has existed as a fierce nation with a big heart.
thank you, truly, thank you for saying this. as an Armenian it means the world that somebody is actually mentioning this, so i truly appreciate it a ton, God bless.

I REALLY enjoy seeing all the different places you visit and their individual customs!! Watching you trying cow’s tongue, cheek and then the brain (when I noticed that I had that look of horror on my face 😧) made me realise that not eating the whole animal is actually wasteful. It just that we don’t eat these things normally. Offal 🫢. Reminds me of school dinners and the lady telling me I had to eat the liver which was horrible, all those tubes and that taste, put me off for life 🤢 Right let’s watch your next video 😄🥰🙅♀️🙅♀️
