Years ago I saw prince at the Fox in Atlanta. As people poured out onto Peachtree all aglow from the show, we turned left walking past Churchill Grounds, I glanced in the window and stopped dead in my tracks when I realized I was looking at Prince and his band sitting right there...5 feet from my face......laughing and eating and being silly. It was a surreal 90 seconds as people walked passed me, some bumping into me not realizing what I was staring at. I didn't dare tell anybody because I didn't want to share the 3 inches of open space I'd found nuzzled between the lettering and signage on the windows. Everything was silent and in slow motion. I imagined he'd see me peering and say "come on in here girl" .......sadly he didn't.....so I stared a while longer then floated to my car feeling like I'd just won the lottery. Good times
Now you are beginning to understand the genius of Prince. This fantastic , exceptional master can rearrange a popular song so much you dont even recognized the original. To me his version is just as good as the original Alot of people thought that Prince wrote this for Chaka.
