Could you clarify how the bone reaper skeletons got a counte-charge ability at 5:20s ? Was it from a tactics card? EDIT: Ah yes, it was indeed a tactic card.
Imo, spearhead is a great game that can naturally build up to full 2k games. Then, if you don’t have time for a full 2k game, you can play spearhead. With just how hard it is for some people to find time for full games, I feel it’s worth learning Spearhead just for that.
Pretty much what voxkine said. From my perspective it’s easier to film as we can get this done in an evening after work and not finish late and be burnt out for filming all evening after working. That said I really enjoy spearhead it feels relatively balanced all things considered (and to be fair I’ve only played a handful of games so don’t quote me on that 😂)
Spearhead and Combat Patrol are my go-to games these days. In terms of time, money, effort; I can collect multiple factions instead of 1 or 2 2000point forces; and the games take much less time. Similar to SEW's perspective, it's much more reasonable and relaxing to have friends over on game night after work and get in a game or two rather than commit to a 4 hour 40k/AoS game. 40k and AoS are still the right game for some people, but I'm enjoying Combat Patrol and Spearhead. I'm finding I only have half of the required Boarding Action terrain needed to play Boarding Action. I'm looking forward to trying this game mode when I get my book/compendium.
Maybe a silly question, but why doesn't the saurus oldblood doesn't have his shooting ability? 😮 Ahh just after I posted this, you explained you forgot it xD. Nice game love the content
How I've been playing "Gargantuan Jaws": Let's assume Seraphon vs Blades of Khorne. The Carnosaur is in combat with 5 Blood Warriors (5x2 = 10 Health for the unit). The Carnosaur can't roll higher than a 6 on a d6 and therefore cannot hurt the Blood Warrior unit. It wouldn't be until the Blood Warrior unit is down to "2.5" models where the Carnosaur's roll of 6 would exceed the unit's current Health of 5. Or am I reading this wrong? Regardless of how many models are still on the board, the Gargantuan Jaws rules just looks at the "Health 2" on the warscroll? And only a 3+ is needed to slay a model?
@@jonmattison3939 I can see where you are coming from but the health characteristic of a unit of blood knights is 3 as they have 3 wounds each and would need a 4+ to eat one.
If the damage is done against the unit surely when the bloodknights healed eight surely you should have brought back a knight as well as healing as you are healing the unit not the individual model.
@@SouthEastWargaming Thank you for your reply. It seems strange that the unit now takes the hits. I think that is where spearhead is slightly different to the main game in regards to how the hunger works and is worded. Really great game and love the channel keep up the great work, you are doing a fantastic job bringing the game to life and also teaching us how the mechanics work.👍
"Back it up, back it up, let me begin" made me spit out my water!

Stunning work boys 👏
Kills the carnosaur and pulls off an 8-point turn to get the draw at 21-21 = EPIC!
🎉 great work boys!
Love it! Nice to see some ; what's your take? I'm trying to persuade my club to have a go, but most people want to focus on 2k...

I can see what you’re thinking there but for better or for worse, healing cannot resurrect slain models unless it states it in the rule.
