Q: What server am I playing Arma games on, who are these people, and can you join?
A: It's the private server for my community, Shack Tactical. As of 2015 we've been around for over nine years, and I wouldn't trade it for anything - we have a fantastic memberbase and it makes for amazing gameplay in Arma and elsewhere. You can read more about us here: www.shacktac.com

A: We do a mix of about 70% adversarial and 30% coop - both offer unique experiences and are a blast to play.

A: I've been here from the start, with my Operation Flashpoint experience beginning with the demo's release in 2001. I went into the US Marine Corps shortly after (no relation!) and in 2004 I started playing OFP in multiplayer. 2006 saw me found ShackTac, which started in OFP and then transitioned through Arma 1, Arma 2, and finally, Arma 3. I hope to continue this for a long time into the future, as well as share the ride with viewers like you, as corny as that sounds!

At 27:10 that dude next to you got creamed with either a rifle round or whatever the vehicle was using because as soon as one guy yelled "Vehicle on the road!" i saw a blood mist and a few chunks of him just explode into bits.
So many highlights! The "controlled crash" was beautiful; the near misses with the green tracers chasing you; and I just have to see a ground perspective of your first hangar entry! Also of note, in Harrier's perspective at the schoolhouse (Schoolhouse Rock), he didn't even know that you had dropped that sling-load right behind him--sound plays games like that in real life, too.

You can tell how different this Arma community is. Any other community would've been so angry if they tried trapping them in the hangar. This community is just so happy and friendly, and serious if need be.
@ArkenRennatta - there are no missed comms. Maybe you're listening to it in mono vs stereo and don't hear what's being said on the different channels? Each radio is isolated to a different ear.
One issue with comms I noticed was just after 16:20 when describing the LZ to the other pilot, I can't hear whatever you had said to him. Other than that I don't believe I noticed any issues personally.

Love all the flying vids cause someone always jinxes you or like we saw in this video they tried locking you in the hanger. Always get to enjoy a big bowl of popcorn with these long videos too but my only question is when might there be another Dark business or S.H.A.C.K.E.R cause those are always hilarious.

I've seen this from CHKilroy's and Jive's perspective and now yours as well Dslyecxi and I do enjoy these missions as they remind me of the Shackwater videos that Jive uploaded,one of my favourite missions thematically. I was curious as to whether Shackstac will be doing missions like that one with UN/PMC cross-overs in Arma 3?
Is there any possibility of you making a tutorial series where you teach how to create missions in SP and MP?
My PC can't handle Arma 2 multiplayer, so I'm stuck with user created missions for SP, but my strong point in Arma 2 is flying (especially transport), and there aren't too many missions for that and I've already searched for tutorials on how to make heli transport missions but there is none.
I know its not the point of your channel, but I thought it wouldn't hurt asking.

Gustavo Panhan Stabile I don't record until the mission goes live, and once I have footage of a scenario, it's easy to cut out dead time that doesn't contribute towards the narrative. I'd rather do that than present a totally unedited video.
Dslyecxi, Could you and others post links of each others gameplay of the same mission. it would be nice to watch different perspective. Maybe post a link to a forum page, where you guys can post links to your own videos.
So have you fully transitioned over to Arma 3 now, or are you still on your way there?
Will CUP terrains make more of the buildings in maps like Celle enterable? What about Chernarus?
They're saying that they will try to make as many buildings as possible enterable but it's going to be reduced due to frame rate and time restraints, DX12 may make the frame issue less of a big deal but you still have a relatively small team redoing all the maps from OFP-A2 including the modded ones so I wouldn't get my hopes too high just so I won't be disappointed if chernarus doesn't end up being like Kavala where you can go into anything

i'm just curious, but isn't it a bit of a risk to fly around at altitudes around 250-300m like at 05:50 ? wouldn't one be a sitting duck for AA like that?.
unless either the enemies on theses missions don't have access to AA or 250m is out of AA reach? i'm just wondering cause i'm really getting the hang of the AH-6 littlebird in arma though i still have a bit to learn. ;)
+Baarde There probably wasn't any AA coverage, or they were flying nap-of-the-earth, specifically to avoid AA.

John Doe No, its common courtesy for people flying on the benches to let the pilot know that they're clear left and right.
John Doe Nope, it was nice of them to say that. In a Littlebird, I almost never need to hear it - but it doesn't hurt to say it anyway just to be safe. In bigger helos, I'll tend to ask for it if I think I need it, but that only tends to happen on reeeeally tight landing zones.
Couldn't they just have put the VIPs in a Littlebirds and fly to the objective?

Mikkel Nielsen We have several G36 variants in our modset, but they're all from CUP. CUP is not quite configured properly with the Marksman updates (Last I heard at least), and so we've kind of been avoiding those weapons.
Zeta why didn't you use the G3 or the HK416 instead? The FAL is a Belgian weapon :)

pontusieg You mean the red dot? I generally prefer ironsights. It's not really a 'scope', more of a sight. Scope tends to imply magnification, and we don't use magnified optics as a community.
