John Rutledge, Safanad chief investment strategist, joins 'Closing Bell Overtime' to talk China's market pullback and how U.S. investors should navigate it.
This guest doesn't know what he is talking about. HK stocks were heavily influenced by foreign (out-of-HK) capitals. But the domestic stock markets are invested with RMB.
It’s just the arbitrage, man. The Hong Kong listed stocks have risen for a whole week while the corresponding A-shares are on “vacation”. The price difference cannot be reconciled because the A-shares can only rise to the daily limit of 10%. In order to have price parity, the Hong Kong shares have to come down. This is all procedural. In a few days, everything will go back to normal.
But some of the most traded stocks like Alibaba, Meituan and JD are only listed HKEX and NYSE. There are no corresponding A shares for these. So how does arbitrage account for the 9-15% drop in these stocks?
I recently sold some of my long-term position and currently sitting on about 250k, do you think Nvidia is a good buy right now or I have I missed out on a crucial buy period, any good stock recommendation on great performing stocks or Crypto will be appreciated
I think investors should always put their cash to work, especially In 2024, we'll start to see more market diversification. I'm hoping to invest about $350k of my savings in stocks against next year. Hope to make millions in 2024
Since risk is at an all-time high right now, perhaps you should be a little more patient and return when it has decreased. Alternatively, you can consult a trained financial expert for strategy.
Yes true, I have been in touch with a brokerage Advisor. With an initial starting reserve of $80k, my advisor chooses the entry and exit commands for my portfolio, which has grown to approximately $550k.
Thanks for sharing. I curiously searched for her full name and her website popped up immediately. I looked through her credentials and did my due diligence before contacting her.
It is not retail or whole sale. It is whether you got it. The market surge is not related to any policy. The surge is due to state money ordered by Xi to buy stock.
Xi to Putin: "Is this guy Tepper on our payroll? -- Why is he advising US investors to send me their capital while their own tax-dollars are being used to buy arms to fight us in the Ukraine & Middle-East?"
I'm new to trading, and I've lost a good sum trying out strategies I found in online tutorials. I would sincerely appreciate any recommendations you have.
Tell way mainland can buy both mainland and Hong Kong one's closed. One day one goes up. 9%. I was up next day I'm down 10. They're up seven byd and it's up 23% in 5 days. I'm down two and a half. They're open 6 and 1/2 hours combined in a day together. You're telling me they didn't sell Hong Kong and by mainland. Pretty good slick idea on today with the announcement. I guess that's where they geared up 2 hours before to make sure everything was going to run smooth and extended the trading by a few minutes. Yeah that's obvious as s*** real nice That's okay. Been buying all your. I'll take my 40% am up and say goodbye. I'll take my $300,000
There will be money made in the short term Chinese market, but it won't be from my account. And..I don't have any Fear of Missing Out either. Good luck to those who do, but be aware.
Who cares casino investors, it's more to do with American investors attitude of making a quick profit ,eyeying among themselves who can profit first by selling while the stock market is up.
I recently sold some of my long-term position and currently sitting on about 250k, do you think Nvidia is a good buy right now or I have I missed out on a crucial buy period, any good stock recommendation on great performing stocks or Crypto will be appreciated!
As a beginner investor, it’s essential for you to have a mentor to keep you accountable. Ruth Ann Tsakonas is my trade analyst, she has guided me to identify key market trends, pinpointed strategic entry points, and provided risk assessments, ensuring my trades decisions align with market dynamics for optimal returns.
I managed to grow a nest egg of around 120k to over a Million. I'm especially grateful to Adviser Ruth Ann Tsakonas, for her expertise and exposure to different areas of the market.
I don't really blame people who panic. Lack of information can be a big hurdle. I've been making more than $100k passively by just investing through an advisor, and I don't have to do much work. Inflation or no inflation, my finances remain secure. So I really don't blame people who panic.
Without a doubt! Ruth Ann Tsakonas is a trader who goes above and beyond. she has an exceptional skill for analyzing market movements and spotting profitable opportunities. Her strategies are meticulously crafted based on thorough research and years of practical experience.
On same day, Shanghai index rose 4% . Shenzhen index rose 8%.
CNBC suddenly ignored those two.
Selective news = lie
0.5 trillion RMB is 70 billion USD not 30. This guy real? 😂

I am convinced to go all in on Chinese stock. Thank you!
Good luck!
The man speaks the truth. I don't want my money in there.

We’re not touching American stocks either. 😂😂😂 you all are left holding the bag on this one. 6 trillion sitting on the sidelines saying GFY. 😂

@@orangeblue3531 These non-A shares are down along with some of the ETFs. You can’t have ETFs down but not the components.
The number of sold and completed homes in China that remain vacant and have no prospect for renting them out is 20 times that of unsold homes.
Why I googled this guy, wikipeida tells me John Rutledge (September 17, 1739 - June 21, 1800) ...
Agree can’t trust chine with money
500 billion Renminbi is $71 billion not $30 billion.

You can do day trading, definitely not invest for long term.
Retailers LOSE at day trading.

I’ve been looking to switch to an advisor for a while now. Any help pointing me to who your advisor is?
Nicole Anastasia Plumlee can't divulge much... Most likely, the internet should have her basic info, you can research if you like..
Thanks for sharing. I curiously searched for her full name and her website popped up immediately. I looked through her credentials and did my due diligence before contacting her.

I wouldn’t even buy Chinese stocks with Joe Kernen’s money 😂
I don’t like communists or socialists.
Then, don’t vote for Harris.
Communists don't have stock market you fool
By the way, EWH is still one of the top 3 ETFs within one month & 3 month after today's fall.
😂😂😂 he said Chinese wallets is empty … have he look at the middle class I the USA?
Xi to Putin: "Is this guy Tepper on our payroll? -- Why is he advising US investors to send me their capital while their own tax-dollars are being used to buy arms to fight us in the Ukraine & Middle-East?"
Because he's an investor and what is done with his tax burden is out of his hands.
"John Rutledge" is an anagram for "The Jungle Rod". o/
So misleading. The index is up 21% in the last month 😂

I suggest Miss Mary Gail Benner is extremely good on that. She is really good at what she does, Now I can pay so many bills because of her help.
This is correct, Mary’s strategy has normalized winning trades for me also, and it's a huge milestone for me looking back to how it all started..
Please educate me. I've come across this name before. Now I am interested. How can I reach her?
Yes, I agree with you. Her platform is wonderful, and her strategies are exceptional
It doesn't matter if you are a current hodler or a newbie. You can capitalize on the fluctuation of Bitcoin by trading with good strategy/signals
