Not the most romantic proposal I’ve ever seen depicted. That should have been a red flag to Jennifer.

Also…. Luke needs to polish up his proposal skills. Where was the, “ will you marry me?” An “I love you” would have been appropriate as well. The absence of these should have been a red flag for Jennifer.
People have joked that the only way to fix the current mess that is GH is to have Luke, Laura or someone have a Dallas shower scene. They would have to go all the way back to before the garage attic stuff and fix the destruction of poor Rick too.

Well TG had his foot in “THE DOOR” why did he take the bait he was the one wanting. What’s the big deal . Why did he wait soon long to take the next step and just go with the flow. What a joke...TG just wanted a paycheck...easier to phone in the acting with Tracy. His last attempt to kill the beast of LnL I respect the Beatles more for NOT doing what TG did.!!!
@@lisah9709 Sometimes I think TG was jealous of all of GF's success, especially after she married Commander Riker, Jonathan Frakes. Plus she had other soaps wanting her, movie offers, mini-series. Maybe that is why he punished her by killing the LnL love story and destroyed their history. He also had a hand in her not receiving an offer for a contract after all her guest appearances. He knew that if she came back, fans would demand a reunion. I don't know, but it was weird when the EP asked Genie to come back for TG's retirement she was absolutely in shock that Tony would allow it. Course then he didn't film a goodbye scene between Luke and Laura. Good thing out of that mess is that we got Genie Francis back full-time.
I think the same thing. Jealousy! Why would you build a character that people love and then totally destroy it like kicking sand into the eyes of all the fans that came to love you as that character. Totally selfish and narcissistic

Today in 2014, the Luke and. Tracy " connection" is non existent...even tho Luke is a nut case at this point, there is absolutely NO chemistry between the two...good or bad. Every scene is forced and awkward.

Yes I do agree with you about that statment. I also believe that GH I lost without the Luke & Laura storyline. Not only is the chemistry is all bad between the Luke and Laura storyline is a big no connection but it’s dark no romance no true love and most of all non existent tenderness. This couple is just a big dumb joke on all of us the over 30 million GH fans GH once had. Now it’s lost on non existent fans who can’t get up and put on GH anymore because of the writers who just don’t give a rats ass in hell. JMO. Thanks. orlandobabe I think TG had a lot to do with it and resists any change. Says he doesn't have to be a hyphenated name, Tracy can have her storyline and he can have his and they are the same age so there is no threat of having any children. He seems to have chafed under the role of good husband and father. Felt he was stuck feeding the dog and not much else.

@@LynnEllingwood But he help create the beast known as Luke and Laura, and nothing he can do or say will vanquish the love people have for Luke and Laura. He can fight against as much as he likes, but it will always be there.
Gotta say the actress that portrayed Jennifer really did well in the restaurant scenes. Of course, she's no Genie, but I felt like she did really, really well here!

I watched a little. Rick killed someone in the attic? Or was it Laura. Rick was cheating on Leslie with this woman Teresa? And for some reason Rick was drugging Laura so she wouldn't remember? Absolutely horrid!!! Rick would never do that!!! I hate when soaps rewrite history. All this happened off screen.
The new writers from 1996 onwards really polluted the history of GH characters.

Tracy looked to old for Luke.
That's what I was thinking. At that time GH was doing all they could to make Luke look closer to Scott and Laura's ages. Tracy was actually portrayed her actual age at the time. By the time, they redid the Luke/Bobbie parent storyline they finally portrayed Luke at his proper age. Gloria Monty was very smart to not portray Luke as being 15 years older than Laura. Can you imagine the fan uproar over a 32-year-old man raping a 17-year-old girl?

I think most of 2001-02 is pretty good stuff. There was romance, laughter, love. A lot of amazing LnL scenes. But, I am not going to be a super spoiler here fever, just in case some newbies haven't gotten that far yet. I will say this, there is some bad mojo in certain areas at a certain point in that era that really griped peoples...well, you know. But up until the end, it was pretty darn good stuff.
No I don't think so... I enjoy watching the Geary/Francis acting team .... sometime despite how I feel about the story with regard to LnL.
I can't stand the way Jen treats Luke, especially in this scene! UGH!!!!!!
