That is a very nice boat, love the interior and the engine room. There is no way I would go up that tower in the dock never mind at sea, these look so top heavy. Great tour Nick thank you.
That is a serious piece of fishing equipment. Tuna and Sail Fish don't stand a chance. Thanks for the review. Great to see a real focus-driven boat built for one purpose! Awesome.
Wonderful purpose built boat. Not for the acrophobia skipper, I'm afraid. Many thanks to all the fine folks at Hatteras for creating this beast in beauty's gown. Thank you for your caution as well Nick.
Love to roll up the River Medina and a sharp right turn into Cowes Yacht Haven - all from the top of the Tuna Tower. That means I wouldn’t have to use VHF CH80, but merely a casual wave and ahoy as I’d be at the same level of the marina office….. And of course wearing a massive white straw Stetson to further add to my Americana credentials. Great review as ever Nick 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Hatteras for midday lunch, brilliant! First thought; will he make it up the tower…. Nope 😂 Great tour of 98% of the boat. Amazing boat if you like offshore fishing.
Super cool as always tks :-) Bit of a hicup with the rod holder door taking strain . Gas struts are fine when they work :-) They have limits . Like the length and height of the door to be moved . In a upright position it would have at least 4 hinges . The squeaking may have been the 'piano' hinge at the bottom , at nearly 1.8 m , tolerances of mm . Should use the regular type hinges , theoretically a ' quick fix ' :-) as ever . Sometimes things go according to plan :-) Maybe a shot of Q20 ? If my prized rod holder was so hard to access , would not be a happy sailor :-) Was going great till then :-)
In my, much, younger days I had no problems going a lot higher up vertical ladders up masts on a frigate. Of course, you had asafety harness clipped on so you couldn't fall. I'd still love to get up to that tuna tower and have a go, at least once. Don't think I'd care to own one of these, but would love to go out for a few days.
I went aboard a 84 Sport fisher at a boat show here in Perth, Western Australia, it was dated as expected, this one looks as dated as that older one. I don't know the first thing about boat valuation, but I wouldn't part with that kind of money for that,as usual though Nick, you do the best boat tours on TH-cam.
Hi Nick. Love a flybridge sport fisher..... (even though like you I don't fish) classic style...... 40kn in this offshore would be awesome! Had a client years ago that owned a 52 Hatteras FBSF ..... great boat. Very popular here in Australia we still make some great FBSF boats btw Thanks for the tour! S
I have fished from many different sports fishing vessels and my favorites in order are , Hatteras, Buddy Davis, Viking , Bertram and Ocean in that order . I have also fished off of quite a few custom vessels. Health issues have brought that to an end for me but I really miss Bluewater fishing . There is nothing quite like backing down hard on a fish and having green water come over the transom filling the cockpit, there's just something about that brings about an absolute rush to me .
You seem much more the Nick I started following, mirror waves, I’ll edit that out later, thusly. Onwards and upwards Nick. Better Times await you. Every thing on here is really solid & chunky. On the top, or bow I should say Lovely Of course You’d go up there out at sea. 🌊
Woow! I'm not fishing fan but I recognise that this yacht is absolutely stunning and looks like absolutely comfortable! As always well done Nick! I wish you have a great weekend! Thanks for bringing us this marvellous master piece!
Don't normally go for these but this one not bad PS just watched your race with james and jack exserlant video hope you 3 do more loved that you hot smugglers mentioned in it lol
They are packed in like that not because it's a marina it's because it's a boat show at a marina. You can't believe how tight they pack them in at boat shows not a foot wasted
I can see a contemporary Brody, Quint & Hooper comparing scars in that saloon without any interruption from nasty ol’ great white👍 Anytime you need a person to go up the ladders Nick!!! Give us a shout👍 as a Lead roofer that’s scaled many a ladder in all conditions I’m yer man😳😂👍
I wasn't so much thinking about how fast you could go up there. My thought was if there's some sort of safety device to keep you from falling if you hit some nasty chop.
Nick good job we aren’t back in the days of press gangs because when Blackbeard the pirate tell you to go up to the crows nest and you say no he’ll make you walk the plank.
Yeah, I wouldn't go up that thing, either.... Nice Wave™, though! Some nice features on this one. Looks well appointed and with lots of comfort. Would probably be quite good for a week away, although I'd have to strip out all the fishing-centric bits.
I asked a captain who had 30 years experience, if he could only have 1 fishing boat for the rest of his life, which one would it be. And without hesitation, he said Hatteras. He said there are several that look the part, but the Hatteras is the real deal. That’s enough for me.
That TV isn’t lasting more than five minutes with a stray limb in rough waters or after one too many tins! You’d think for that price they could’ve had a TV lift! Not my kettle of fish (pun intended), but appreciate the video as always Nick. Interesting boat!
Exactly, totally exposed when it’s not needed and maximum danger zone! This isn’t a marina princess, it’s built for shifting in serious seas, which is exactly when things go flying!
Bubba would not care. He’s sitting in his ego station fighting tuna fish with PJ lonely at the top of the tower and Mac sitting on that bench cracking open a cold one
as someone who likes to sail with proper square riggers in his spare time: sign me up with climbing that thing ... can't be more demanding than climbing the royal sails 35m above deck in the rigging :-)
The reason these sport fishing boats are built for speed, is so they can get far off-shore to where the big fish are without wasting time. Most fishing excursions are only for a few days.
Stressless is her name, some fisherman will buy her. Not my cup of tea, but she's fit for purpose. Plenty of storage for long or short trip. A bit too much wood for me if a paler colour I'd like it more. But nice size cabins, galley area. Nice helm position with more storage and seat great view. Tuna tower, nope nope nope I'm with Nick not going up that. Engines 40 knots, big engines for a fast boat. Nice. Bow area and side deck sorry no rails no go. They'll be someone wanting to buy her and will get a lot pleasure sail her.
Not sure what the ideal fishing speed is on this boat :-) How many hours a day will you be fishing ? What will the ladies be doing :-) ? Basically a nice 6 sleeper , very nice . Could travel :-) With all that space , could easily double that for a long day :-) As for the upper helm :-) I would want a safety belt on a rail :-) Gosh , have tender have to moor somewhere . :-) That is 6 up on a long trip :-) On a boat like this , and others , why be in a rush to get somewhere ? How limited is your time ? this is a working boat , just at weekends ? Have to be an huge fishing fan for this . deepish pockets :-)
Seeing this makes me appreciate just how lucky we are to be on this side of the Atlantic with some of the best boat builders. This is a 2021 boat with creaky hinges and Gas struts which are barely working. The quality of the fittings would appear to be shocking and the interior is very dated.
First storage area has to be your fish boxes, wouldn't make sense to put your fish boxes on the fly bridge, could only imagine the smell otherwise and the fight to get the fish up there.
Hmm…to each their own. Nick has spoiled us with so many incredible boats….alas I feel this interior is akin to bat vomit. Not that I would decline an offer to be a guest. It has such a footprint of tasteless masculinity, like if testosterone was an overweight American with one too many beers and a fishing rod, given millions of dollars…and POOF: There is his boat. Heh heh. Just a bit of fun. It’s fine…It’s just that the NYC Ferry is as close as I’ve been, so I’m a bit…(whispers) jealous. (Blushes.)
I love Hatteras...had the pleasure of going mahi and wahoo fishing on one back in 2015 out of Key West, FL.
That is a very nice boat, love the interior and the engine room. There is no way I would go up that tower in the dock never mind at sea, these look so top heavy. Great tour Nick thank you.
Not for me but always grateful for your tours, Nick.
Now that is a yacht built for a purpose!! Anouther great tour, Nick!! Thank you!! Keep them coming 😊
Thanks! Will do!

Thank you for your caution as well Nick.
Glad you enjoyed it! 🙂
A serious American fisher will undoubtedly find that very attractive. I'll wait for the Nordhavn next door... Thanks for the tour!
Excellent video with YachtBuyer. More crossover like that please.
Tuna tower coward?? 🤣🤣😂😂it is high up! Just kidding of course! Just a funny rhyme! Awesome episode! 👍👍 Nice boat as expected! Thanks for sharing! 👍👍
Thanks for watching!! 😃

Thanks for sharing Nick!
No worries!
Hope the daughters boyfriend likes his cabin at the top of the tower. 🤣

Another good video nick and great boat 👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍🛥⛵️🚤

Nick, the last time you did a Fisher you said I couldn't do the tuna tower, but I bet you were pleased to read the sign ' do not use ' 🤣🤣🤣
Stop me at the fighting chair. Wow tough dudes ! Bring me a Pepsi !
fish boxes under the cockpit sole and there will be a high capacity ice maker on board to fill them.
Very nice Nick, makes my fishing boat look like this boats tender.😃🏴

When I first started hearing you talk about Maggie I thought you had a toy poodle or something in that bag lol
Great tour as usual! If you had a pair of deck shoes and didn't have to hold the camera, you could do the tuna tower. It would be worth it! :-)
Glad you enjoyed it! 🙂

Sweet engine room! 👍👍
I saw a captain get slung out of a tuna tower coming into haulover, Ive been reluctant to go in one ever since.
They sure like to pack them boats into that Marina
They are packed in like that not because it's a marina it's because it's a boat show at a marina. You can't believe how tight they pack them in at boat shows not a foot wasted
I’d love to be up in that tuna tower out on the big waves. Yes please.
Hatteras are great
The cabins have no windows, your eyes are closed when you're asleep, but when you're awake...
I can see a contemporary Brody, Quint & Hooper comparing scars in that saloon without any interruption from nasty ol’ great white👍

A very american tool and toy for mostly men 😂 Crazy and fascinating 😀 Thank you for the tour 😊
There is no way I would go up the tower. Sod that 🤣🤣🤣
Exactly!! 😄
Imagine tearing around at 40 kts driving the thing from the tuna deck - absolute madness
I wasn't so much thinking about how fast you could go up there. My thought was if there's some sort of safety device to keep you from falling if you hit some nasty chop.
Nothing better than watching your videos from my vacation balcony in Playa de Carman, Mexico, that’s impressive.

Don't fall in !!
Love Hatteras

It would be great to have someone provide footage of the view from the tuna tower on these sports fishermen. It is really something.
Good one, Nick. Big buck fishing. Great for northern Australia. 🇦🇺 😊
No thanks
So now we have “classic Nordhaven” and “classic sportsfisherinterior”. I like it 😅
I asked a captain who had 30 years experience, if he could only have 1 fishing boat for the rest of his life, which one would it be. And without hesitation, he said Hatteras. He said there are several that look the part, but the Hatteras is the real deal. That’s enough for me.
Happy Friday nick
Same to you!
out rigger are for barbless lures to bring in fish
Where were you for this - any chance of a sneaky visit to Haulover Inlet...?!
Is it possible you could give the Go pro to someone else so we can see the tuna tower. Maybe the person who shows you round at the start.
Just looking up at that tuna tower started to give me vertigo!
That TV isn’t lasting more than five minutes with a stray limb in rough waters or after one too many tins! You’d think for that price they could’ve had a TV lift! Not my kettle of fish (pun intended), but appreciate the video as always Nick. Interesting boat!
Nobody is watching tv while they’re out. This is literally a boat for fishing. That tv isn’t on until it’s chow time.
Exactly, totally exposed when it’s not needed and maximum danger zone! This isn’t a marina princess, it’s built for shifting in serious seas, which is exactly when things go flying!
Nick, I want to see this on your channel, please. The new 50 knot Cat Yacht 🛥️ from Safehaven Marine. Try and get out on a sea trial.
This boat is owned by a guy named Bubba. His pals, PJ and Mac, go along for the free ride and never pay for the beer or fuel.
Bubba would not care. He’s sitting in his ego station fighting tuna fish with PJ lonely at the top of the tower and Mac sitting on that bench cracking open a cold one
I bet everyone has the same mental image of the sort of people that use this type of boat.
I have no idea about fishing. Why do you need to be so high for tuna?
Rock on
A white couch right next to the hob…spills & splatters happen
The sports fishers are not for me but love the tour as always 👍
Awesome boat. Catch em’ then bbq em! ✨🎣✨
Ohh a fishing machine! Sweet! 👍👍🎣🎣

The reason these sport fishing boats are built for speed, is so they can get far off-shore to where the big fish are without wasting time. Most fishing excursions are only for a few days.
It does seem like a lads weekend boat
I wonder if we can get that Nordhavn for $3.5M? ha-ha
Also - Did this fishing unit have stabilizers? thanks!
Surely they could have found a better location for the barbecue
I am serious, and don't call me Shirley!
I find it Really odd that there are No windows / Port holes in the Cabins …. Is there a reason for this …??? 🤔🤔
Typical sports fisher. It's designed to bludgeon through big seas at very high speeds, hence no hull windows to leak.
They could call it Fortuna.
Stressless is her name, some fisherman will buy her. Not my cup of tea, but she's fit for purpose. Plenty of storage for long or short trip. A bit too much wood for me if a paler colour I'd like it more. But nice size cabins, galley area.

Do they not have sport fishing in the UK?
Mackrel fishing doesn't have the same cache, sadly. 😄
Ah yes, another great tour of cabinets, closets and drawers.
Glad you enjoyed it! 🙂
Nick you would to go up there for a million pounds !!
It's not a full tour without the tuna tower 😃
No, even if I had $3.5 million to spare. Thank you for the tour, though.
Good afternoon Nick
Good afternoon Michael
Nick, I think you need to talk to Maggie. She's a bit too often at the bar 😉🍷🍸🍹

Not my favourite Nick, but thanks for uploading.
One of the few boats I've seen that actually looks more expensive than the price!
better be safe than sorry.
Where gunner need a bigger boat.
Can somebody educate me - this boat isn't huge and is very vanilla, design-wise - what makes it worth $3.5 million? Is it the engines?
Yes and the (crash through ) bow and the fishing though they couldn't catch a sardine.
Build quality and performance. If your criteria is size then there are other more suitable options.
What I hate about those boats, is the fact that all front vision is absent! No views to the front? Hello?
It's a serious offshore sportsfisher designed for punching through huge seas at high speed.
No chance I'd spend that much on a yacht and have to climb a freakin' LADDER to access the helm. The tuna tower's one thing. But the helm? fail :(
