3:10 Rev. Wilbert Awdry after he wrote the story "Gordon and the Famous Visitor", he used the train model remote control to make it go fast, that he fiddled with the button on the wonky eyes.
The second is Mark Lynn he does not appear on the screen till this episode and BlueMountain mystery you can see him and BlueMountain mystery except his wheels
I think they did their best not to show that City of Truro didn't have a face, but I guess they didn't do such a good job. As for the coaches, maybe they're supposed to be being pulled backwards and we very often see them from the front. Funny thing is, they didn't even make the coaches talk in The Adventure Begins like they did in Thomas and Gordon.
3:27 Gordon passes at the same area Henry's Forest twice, I guess that the art director had to add on extra more models of trees and forests before the show starts
To keep in mind that these were actually done on actual model railway sets so they didn't have custom seats for every time they had to reuse footage sometimes
1:58 In the U.S. version, George Carlin said, "He left Early next morning, Gordon was still joking." Or was it complaining. This line was used for less silent.
I think the reason why City Of Truro has no face was because they were going to show him all the way, just the side of the engine to make it look like he’s talking to the engines, hence the reason why he is on the turntable and not in a engine shed
2:05 Gordon's eyebrows are missing and his buffers are crooked, the art director forgot to draw eyebrows on Gordon's face mask, and make his buffers nice and neat
1:39 I think that engines and coaches without faces can’t talk to humans, but can talk to other engines and rolling stock. The engines with faces need to talk for them. Also great vid 2:24 I laughed my head off
Here are some more sins. The trucks laughed at Gordon when really people should've done so because that's what happened in the original story. Likewise, Duck should've said: 'He's too famous to notice me.' Instead, Thomas spoke.
you missed a goof diesel is there despite him being sent away in the previous episodes by the way that model of Gordon is the same model used in the beginning of Thomas and the Magic Railroad
3:04 The art director got so nervous that he thought he didn't put the model of Wellsworth train station for the Thomas The Tank Engine and friends model show. The art director thought he lost the model of Wellsworth train station, since there were two in this scene
In the close-up on Thomas and Duck at the sheds, Duck is derailed. In one shot of Gordon talking to Thomas and Duck, he does not have any eyebrows. In the first scene, Toby's front window is shattered. When Gordon seems to pass through Wellsworth, he also passes through Henry's Forest four times. When Gordon says, "It feels as if something is loose," he brushes against a tree. After Gordon loses his dome, his coaches disappear. When Gordon goes through The Country Line, half of the embankment moves down and up slightly. When Gordon goes through Knapford, he is tilted to the right. In the same scene, the coach to the far left is seen with exposed wires around its buffers. When Thomas asks Duck, "Who's that?" Duck's right wheel is derailed. When Duck talks to Edward, the latter's whistle is a bit crooked. When Henry passes Edward and Duck at Wellsworth, his eyes are misaligned. In the last shot of the episode, Gordon's eyes are misaligned and his buffers are slightly crooked. Black blu tac can clearly be seen underneath the feet of some people at the start. In the Swedish version of this episode, Thomas says City of Truro went 100 "mil" per hour, which is the general distance measurement in Sweden, however, 100 mil converts to 621.371192 miles, or 1000 kilometres, a speed that is impossible to reach for a steam engine. Due to an archive footage Gordon's eyes are wonky when he says "He did it, I'll do! He did it, I'll do it!" Gordon's buffer are crooked in many scenes.
1:00 Duck The Great Western Engine is derailed, and the art director rushed to put the toy model of Duck The Great Western Engine on the model railroad tracks while the Thomas and Friends show was about to start
3:11 - Not a goof. Apparently the valve gear they used on his model didn't properly fit, so they had to remove some of the casing so the wheels could turn. It's the same on his other side, and you'll spot them in every episode the camera lets you see them. So it's more of a technical compromise than a goof.
In my story of Gordon and the famous visitor I spotted a do it was Gordon pulling the express with red coaches but in the next one he has the green coaches
I think they are supposed to have faces but since all of the shots of city of Truro weren't facing the camera, they didn't bother to make them. As for the season 1 coaches, I think they were intended to have them; but they didn't bother as it wasn't necessery and they were on a tight budget during that season.
There was probably no point in making a face for City of Truro because it was only going to be used in this episode and didn't have any lines. In the book, he only had one line. Also, does no one else find it odd that he wasn't referred to by his name in the narration?
I’ve been binge watching these and I love that you’re continuing these, but there are two things I need to point out Firstly in this video there’s a missed goof : When Gordon wheeshs the tricks the narrator says “they crowded round no matter what he did” but as far as we know the tricks can’t move on their own, so how could they crowd him? And secondly PLEASE change the intro music, I mean you even acknowledge yourself that it sucks, it’s VERY annoying when you listen to it so many times in a row and doesn’t really serve a purpose to the rest of the video
Truro never became famous for allegedly reaching 100mph because it was something that wasn't planned. It was never proven, never authenticated so it couldn't be counted officially. When Scotsman did it it was authenticated. It is stated that he was the 1st to be officially timed at 100mph which is a 100% fact.
Which reminds me. When I was a toddler, I watched Thomas and friends (that is ("Thomas the Tank engine and friends"), That's the first time I see trains on TV, then when I watched "all about fast moving trains", I see a Steam engine (WMSR 734) on tv, I realize a real life steam engine is faceless, all of them are faceless. Then when I watched this episode, I see City of Truro that doesn't have a face, I couldn't believe that Thomas characters have met a faceless engine. Never trust Domeless engines, Gordon should mean Never trust Domeless or Faceless Engines, They're not respectable!
Ahhhh, the City of Truro, the only Thomas Character that Appeared on the screen without face.
Big micky up until seson 20/21
Märklin engine?
@@MaminakaMrpaperbag We never saw the whole engine on TTTE but we did see him on TUGS
Butch: Am I a joke to you?
Big Mickey and the Flying Scotsman had a face and spoke... But the City of Truro Never Had A Face
1:04
Percy's funnel is crooked, and one of his lamp irons are chipped!
the only goof i spotted as a kid was when Gordon's whisle was coved with red spots
1:38 I Never Thought of It.
3:10 Rev. Wilbert Awdry after he wrote the story "Gordon and the Famous Visitor", he used the train model remote control to make it go fast, that he fiddled with the button on the wonky eyes.
Gordon has a red spot on his whistle
1:38 maybe the island of Sodor is magic. 3:12 Gordon was hungry and bit into his cylinder
The second is Mark Lynn he does not appear on the screen till this episode and BlueMountain mystery you can see him and BlueMountain mystery except his wheels
4:02 Gordon is not moving because the background isn’t moving to the left
2:41 I think Henry took to much of his special coal.
I think they did their best not to show that City of Truro didn't have a face, but I guess they didn't do such a good job. 2:43 Henry's eyes are very wonky, and David Mitton fiddled around with the train model remote control
I loved the joke about wood
3:06 gordon's eyes are a little wonky
0:39 Duck has a sad face
Yeah, like is he unhappy about this celebration or what happened
3:15 Terry Permane also uses the camcorder close to the train model toy driver, and close inside Gordon's cab
I think the engine without a face talks with a secret mouth
3:27 Gordon passes at the same area Henry's Forest twice, I guess that the art director had to add on extra more models of trees and forests before the show starts
2:47 Duck's face mask 😷🎭 was coming loose and the art director forgot to put more glue on it, before the show started
To keep in mind that these were actually done on actual model railway sets so they didn't have custom seats for every time they had to reuse footage sometimes
Does everyone know that in every scene of every episode, the studio light can be seen in there eyes, lol 😂
So that’s why the engines eyes are some shiny
2:22 I didn’t expect that lol
1:58 In the U.S. version, George Carlin said, "He left Early next morning, Gordon was still joking." Or was it complaining. This line was used for less silent.
Found a goof at 0:53
A workman on the right has sticky tack under it!
On goof 13, he hits a bush, that shouldn’t be a good, that happens to trains in real life as well
I think the reason why City Of Truro has no face was because they were going to show him all the way, just the side of the engine to make it look like he’s talking to the engines, hence the reason why he is on the turntable and not in a engine shed
2:22 U hear that Mattel. Even Gordon hates ur Thomas wood brand
Ouch Nice one Gordon.
Take that Mattel
4:12 The model of the Red express coach, wire is broken
2:05 Gordon's eyebrows are missing and his buffers are crooked, the art director forgot to draw eyebrows on Gordon's face mask, and make his buffers nice and neat

Also great vid
2:24 I laughed my head off
2:17 duck is kinda blue
4:54 - His headlamp is also missing the glass casing.
3:15 Terry Permane uses the camcorder, at Gordon and the express in Henry's Forest
1:30 The art director accidently made a mistake by not putting a face on The Famous Visitor's steam locomotive
1:25 if you up on the left you can see the Studio
2:41 Edward's whistle was crooked, and the art director was in a rush to add it on, before the show started
2:56 David Mitton put on the train power and made the train Gordon and the express coaches extremely fast
1:19 Gordon is slightly derailed
Your purple
3:21 in that scene, gordon is shaking but in the next he is not
iI think the coaches and the engine are magic
They must have a voice box in them
4:51 David Mitton put the headlamp on Gordon for the art director

i like watching this for some reason it could be because i never notice them as a kid
1:43
They talk telepathically
Just like mewtwo!
1:35 The city of Truro has Marklin DRG class 80 smokebox door

Thomas's face is from the outro of thomas and friends 1984.
Did you know gordons cylinder is always crooked
3:01 the scene is reused from time for trouble (I think)
There was a goof that he missed and when Gordon passing the Station is Nowhere to be seen on the wheels scene
Just because the wooden trains don't have stones doesn't mean it's a goof
Theory: *No budget for a new face*
City of truro with the face
2:22 mattel's fault and not their fault
Why is Thomas and Friends Percy part of face
1:00 Duck The Great Western Engine is derailed, and the art director rushed to put the toy model of Duck The Great Western Engine on the model railroad tracks while the Thomas and Friends show was about to start
Its kind of easy to see
If Gordon does not like domeless engines then why Gordon like Stephen
So Gordon says he doesn’t boast but he was just boasting about how going 100 mph is easy for him
2:58 and the wheels are blue again and there is a small chip in his boiler

Great video! I loved it! You do great on these videos! Bravo 👏
yeah it's kind of scary like when you see look at ghost train all you see is just an empty face full of nothing 😟
I never noticed Gordon had hit a bush.
1:52 duck is derailed again
There should have been more faceless engines with speaking roles in the tv series.
I think they are supposed to have faces but since all of the shots of city of Truro weren't facing the camera, they didn't bother to make them. The City of truro is a model engine and crew members don’t have enough faces
2:00 i hear edward whistle
City of truro is the only of the thomas and friends whitout the face
City of truro whitout the face
People with wondering why city of truro even have a face
Studio equipment
There’s A Goof You Missed Diesel Is Seen At City of Truro’s Welcome Party But And He Shouldn’t Be There He Should Be Send Away.
Does Gordon need to get his eyes checked? Because the City of Truro obviously has a dome!
4:39 The narrator said "Gordon was very cross", and the art director made a silly mistake for putting a sad 🥺😭 face mask on Gordon
There was probably no point in making a face for City of Truro because it was only going to be used in this episode and didn't have any lines. In the book, he only had one line.

How did city of truro talk without a face ??
That is the first episode to have a famous train came into the series. It could have been Flying Scotsman instead of City of Turo.
At the final shot his lamp has a no light, or glass.
I’ve been binge watching these and I love that you’re continuing these, but there are two things I need to point out

3:13 the reason why his cylinder is like that is because the crew had to cut down gordons cylinder to not interfere with his front bogie.
4:08 David Mitton uncoupled the coaches from Gordon
Donald's duck goofs will release around next week (i hope it has DD jokes)
