It was my pleasure, this song was incredible.
Each of the members of Budakhel are solo artists but when they come together it's magic. BUgoy Drilon is my favorite, his raspy soulful voice is wonderful. DAryl Ong is the master of riffs and runs. Michael (KHEL) Pangalinan is the king of tone. Katrina is my favorite Filipino female artist! Please check out all of their mvs. You won't be disappointed. Salamat po 🇵🇭.

No one does it quite like the Filipino artists. These 3 guys form the group BUDAKHEL and are outstanding! Budakhel and Katrina collab a few times and are brilliant when they do. This is my favorite version of this song.
I would never compare it with the original but it certainly is the best cover I have ever seen of this.

Her duet with Jessica of I Surrender is must see. My favorite is her Latin Medley.
She has a lot of live videos that are crazy good.

When you do a classic, that up until very recently held the record for most consecutive weeks (over two decades) at the top of the Billboard charts, there are many a Fandom that is just waiting for you to slip up, and as somebody that grew up in the MC, Whitney, Boyz to Men, Jodeci era, you know this could either make or break you as an artist.
Can say without a doubt that even though they pay omage to the original, this is truly a stand alone reboot now. It is basically becoming, a classic in its own right.
As for Katrina Velarde. She will always remain "The Beast from the East" to me. A freak of nature.

Actually, these 4 singers are came from different parts of the Philippines who did join a National Singing Contest held in a TV Station in Manila. They become friends when 4 of them had chosen as Finalist. The grand winner was Bogoy.

No they`re not professional, just a bunch of young folks having fun. That ought to knock your socks off. Oh yes, I too am Filipino but I can`t sing to save my behind 🥴

I do have to disagree with you on one thing. I have followed the careers of Boyz II Men and Mariah from their starts. They are brilliant, but I prefer this arrangement better.
The original song holds so many memories for me. It has been played at funerals of loved ones, been favoured by myself and some of the closest people to me etc. I think because of the sentimental value of the song it will always be hard to top it through my eyes.
@@Dazza010 I get it. Song For Moma and End of the Road were, and are still, favorites of mine. What can I say about Mariah. She is a legend. Recording hundreds of songs with the most songs to hit number one. Mariah, Whitney, Boyz II Men, BBD, Blondie, and AC DC all hold a special place in my heart. But as time changes, things get updated. The sound gets improved. Just like Boyz II Men's inspiration from 60s music, the modern interpretation of, what now are classics are driving the new music scene. Some I like, some I hate. And when they are good, they take me back.

It only took 57million views to get to me lol. I did react to her doing Never Enough, it just hasnt made it on to the channel yet. I can tell you it is scheduled to release on the 12th December. She is an incredible singer though and I want to do a lot more of her, starting with Go The Distance next.
