    Thank you so much for this amazing concert! You were recommended to me by an excellent clarinet player. I asked who his favorite clarinet players might be, and your name was first on his list. And now, I believe you are first on my list too!
    You are an amazing player and a fabulous composer! I will subscribe to your youtube channel and then listen to all your youtube posts. Hopefully you will make it to the states to play soon.

    Seems Ewan Bleach is the start of a new kind of JAZZ MUSIC. Like Fletcher Henderson and Bix about 100 years ago surprised the world with beautiful new JAZZ.
    The "JAZZ" of Ewan Bleach is a clear "JAZZY - FLIRT" direction:
    a) Classical Music and
    b) Traditional Music from Countries far away. Very Interesting!

    Ewan, you are now officially a treasure! Wonderful compositions and the tempo and mood shifts suited the program. When I hear you play I hear all of the best of Artie Shaw, Benny Goodman(especially sounding like Guy Lombardo when you sang and played the tune from 1934). Any plans to do a turn with Tuba Skinny gang this summer? I know travel is going to be tough with covid kicking up hard. Best to you Ewan.

    I feel along with all influences you have woven in the mix English dance bands, NO jazz, French, Turkish, Kurdish and even Milhaud and Messiaen. Close to my heart!

      Thankyou. So great to have the first comment from a Neyzen. I listen to Makam everyday. On Wednesday I will go to a practice with a fasıl choir, the first time since the beginning of the pandemic.

    Love never grows old, sweetheart, love never grows old
    Love that is true will be always new. The greatest story that's told
    One memory lingers on. A dream to have and to hold
    and I shall remember, when life greets December, my love never grows old

    It is interesting to see how you hold your clarinet straight out from your lips. and you fill your cheeks with air. There are no set of rules are there. Very nice sound. Thanks

    An excellent show Ewan. The music was excellent. Nobody else is doing this. Love it. You need to brush up a little on presentation - mumbling, shuffling papers etc.

    • @porkbroth
      @porkbroth 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      For a small show I think those things add character to it. If the performance is too polished then it can feel stale and overly practiced

    • @itsjoe3109
      @itsjoe3109 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      yeah i disagree, i thought the music spoke for itself, and it's refreshing to see someone just being themselves in between playing beautifully written and arranged pieces

      @@ewanbleach No words to describe my gratitude Ewan, for this mesmerizing concert, so full of different moods, colors, harmonies and nostalgia! This is really "world music", and compositionally and in terms of performance of absolute world class! This G-clarinet AND the way you played it, made me think so much of the Armenian duduk, one of the oldest instruments in the world and with that unique intense, very emotional sound! "Brighton Experiment" brought me to tears, it had much of Bartók in it, a bit Hungarian / Romanian, and so intimate and moving... Thanks so much from Holland!
