Absolutely legendary. I can't thank you enough for uploading this. It always amazes me how a woman as tiny as Laura Chapot can ride the big grey like that and make it look so easy. Truly a once in a lifetime horse. I'm very excited to see how the young horses sired by Gem Twist's clones will perform.

I looked up Gem Twist in the Thoroughbred horse pedigree query site, and he has a very high dosage index, and high number to the left on his dosage profile indicate a horse with a lot of fast twitch muscle fibers you would find in a sprinter. That also would translate to a horse with a lot of heave-ho ability to clear those jumps. Interesting pedigree.

I’d give the rest of my crappy life to have ridden Gem Twist. Still don’t understand how he stopped out? Why?Think he must have been sore.

Sometimes horses stop out because the rider set them up incorrectly and the horse knows he can’t make the distance 🤷‍♀️
