This is a walk-off for all of baseball. The fact that the game ends not only with the darkness of the Iowa night and the home run fireworks, but he hit the ball into right field towards the original Field of Dreams. As if Shoeless Joe said "This night's for baseball!" What a moment for MLB.

I also had another situation like this in 2018 when I was at the Nationals vs Cubs Sunday Night baseball game at Wrigley. My dad and I took public transit down there and we realized around the 8th we might not be able to catch the last train back if we stayed for the whole game. The Nats had a 3-0 lead in the 9th and the Cubs offense was lifeless the entire game so assumed it was probably over and we left early to catch the last train. I was checking the score on my phone as we sat there waiting for our train. Sure enough the Cubs loaded the bases with 2 outs and David Bote hit an epic walk off slam that we missed, I was pretty sick about that one.

This will always be my favorite baseball game. It was the first one I ever watched as a fan. Field of Dreams is my favorite movie of all time, so to have a game there was must see. Fell in love with the game immediately. I have an Anderson jersey behind me on the wall in my room right now that is just like the one the Sox wore for this game. Man what I would give to relive this game.

It's no lie I'm a sox fan but this was truly a wonderful game. There was a special feeling about it from the very start when the players came out of the corn. To see my favorite team and the mighty yankees suddenly appear was amazing. MLB hit a home runAnd I was proud to see every player standing up during the national anthem. They should consider doing this for a future all star game.
