    Thank you for the informative and easy to understand video. As you stated in the video, bottom bracket "standards" vary widely and often have confusing brand specific labels attached as well. This video will certainly help someone who might be a bit confused as to what BB fits what type of bike, etc.. Great job.

    Stupid question incoming, I usually replace most bike parts but never the bottom bracket.. i had this done on one bike in the past (when i used to commute to and from work) but not my current mtb (which i use for fun), what is the worst case scenario and how do we know it needs replacing?

      You'll know if a bearing is bad as the crank will seem like its rattling/loose or doesn't spin freely . Just make sure you clean the threads on your bike frame thoroughly before the new install
