| Jiangmen, China, June 12, 2019 - China moved to within a point of table toppers Turkey at the top of the FIVB Women’s Volleyball Nations League after they beat them 3-0 (26-24, 25-19, 25-21) at the Jiangmen Sports Center Gym on Wednesday.
Turkey stay top with 27 points, but China are now a solitary point behind on 26. It means Jenny Lang Ping’s team are now on a run of nine wins after losing their first two matches of the 2019 VNL. It also means that seven of the 2018 bronze medallists' last eight victories have been in straight sets.
Gong Xiangyu led scoring for China with 14 points, but it was Li Yingying who scored the winner with a powerful left-handed spike for her 13th point of the match.
Turkey’s Ebrar Karakurt took her VNL tally to 145 points after she scored 15, the same amount as teammate Meliha Ismailoglu.
China will now wrap up the week against USA, while Turkey will take on Poland on Thursday.

Team China has a lot of options. This game didn't used yuan and zhu ting. Ding Xia in for 3rd set. The best setter for me she's a player maker to the team. ♥️

Yes indeed. Ding Xia is one of the most powerful setter at the moment after retirement of Nootsara Tomkom. Ding Xia's left hand service, her presence of mind in the court is amazing if you watch her continuously you will accept the fact. Xing Dia's set ups, Zhu Ting's spikes, Nan Yi's blocks and defensive skills of Lin Li's, and team coordination, definitely its going to be a pleasure to watch them in 2021 Olympics arena.

Yan Ni has a very interesting smash 3:03 9:03, very subtle but effective, very different from Zhu Ting which normally has a power smash.
Lang Ping is the best coach in woman volleyball. That's why Chinese team is the best.

@kzh yes she is been stagnant because she got injured and still recuparating she is vital to the 2020 olympics and lang ping knows thats why she aint be seen in last few fivb leagues her offense is good not great as zhu ting but her floor defense is the best among the team. in this world cup were china is champion shes always been 1st six lang ping is getting ready for the olypmics next year.
