This is a kit that comes with all the parts you need except the battery connector. I don't know where to parts in Canada, but they are easy to find online at places like Mouser Electronics or Ebay.
This is a Capacitive proximity sensor. Simpler ones use one transistor (npn) as a switch, and two others (pnp) back to back as signal amplifiers. The diode restricts the flow of electrons reversely. This model uses an IC, I'm guessing a lm324n or similar - though I've seen others that use a led lighting IC. I've seen really sensitive versions that don't even require direct contact with the metal wire. Sensitivity is based on the mode of switch and amplification. Those rem pods that cost 100.00+ retail are only worth about $5.00 in parts.
Thanks for the 'How-to' Rich. I do like your easy-to-use and follow manner. I am going to see if you already have one BUT in case not, could you do one on a simple IR light source when you have the time please? Many thanks Martin
I recently bought one of these and modified it just like you did I cannot stand the long tones might be good like you said if it was left in another room but I guess my question is have you ever tried putting this device inside of a trigger object such as may be a doll or a teddy bear and if so has it ever worked for you let me know what you thought is thank you
UNEXPLAINED PARANORMAL RESEARCH I have made similar trigger object devices, such as teddy bears and dolls that could detect EMF and touch independently. From my experience, the touch detectors were rarely triggered and, of course, the EMF detectors were frequently triggered.
Hi Jennifer. Yes these devices can be mounted in a box. Electronics parts stores and online sellers such as Ebay and Amazon have project boxes which can be used for that. Some even have internal compartments for a 9 volt battery. You would need an external 9 volt battery mount if there is no battery compartment in the box. You could add an on/off switch and even an LED and external antenna as well. There's really no limits to the modifications you could do to make your own REM type pod out of this.
kbhoney1 It's pretty simple to change the loop for an antenna. Just unsolder the loop and solder the base od the antenna to the same point the loop was connected to.
Yes Art, you can replace the loop with a straight wire with an alligator clip on the end. Be aware that the longer the wire, the more sensitive the input. Too long of a wire will overload the input and cause the detector to stay in alarm mode and not reset. So about 6-8 inches of wire is probably best.
another great video i am now going to subscribe to all your new videos thanks again for your great work sue One more thing i see where you are attaching the positive but it's hard to make out the negative ....also you have radio shack ... in Canada we have the source electronics do you know off hand if we can get those kind of products in Canada ? just a thought
You could add more LEDs but you would have to change the resistors on the LED circuit and keep the voltage low, so probably no more than 2-3 LEDs on this board.
Great stuff Rich, we're just in our early stages of getting set up and will save a few dollars doing it this way. We're calling our team E.V.P.S. Eglinton Village Paranormal Society.
When you’re trying to make a video hold the stuff that you’re showing still don’t shake it around you don’t need to move it back-and-forth like somehow that’s going to improve my vision keep the thing stationary that you’re trying to talk about

Not sure if you are aware but you said FK 507 when the kit listed FA 507 mate
I love how to videos like these! Same money by just doing it yourself! Thanks, thumbs up!
Thank you for sharing this video! Fantastic! 10/10

Daniel Smith in fact this board can be set to react to proximity
@@cristiansprenger418 how would this be done? It would be helpful if could let me know

Rich Horn do you have a video of how to do an EMF triggered bear?
I'm wondering if there is a way to put that into a box of some type? Thank you

I'd like to replace the loop with an antenna. Suggestions on how, would be great.

Nice one. Would love to see you build a complete rempod just to see what it's like. I'm odd like that... :D
Rich instead of the metal loop it there away to put in alligator clips?

can you make a video on how to make IR LIGHTS

Great video and awesome device, but what is the copper coil for?
It's an electromagnetic induction coil. It creates a magnetic field and stores energy. Probably part of the sensor.
Where is the circuit diagram for this circuit?
Can i add more led lights to the board ?
You could add more LEDs but you would have to change the resistors on the LED circuit and keep the voltage low, so probably no more than 2-3 LEDs on this board.
For a momentary touch device there are far simpler circuits out there that use very few components compared to this kit.
Very help tip! Awesome device for a good price.. LOVE IT!
You can buy door alarms from China on Ebay for about 3 bucks, you can get either a touch detector or a vibration detector.
mikeh278 Yes the prices have dropped alot in 3 years, but this was mainly for the people who like to build their own gear.
Michael Hohl Hi Mike, what do you search for on eBay to find this doorbell so I get the right one.
Thank You for the tip!
I search eBay for the Future Kit Fa507 and you have to order it from Thialand
I am beginning to discover there are many alternatives to the expensive ghost equipment out there,
you can get those battery connectors at the Source...$5 for 5 of them.
It would be better to connect a relay to it. Then you can connect an alarm of your choice.
i cnt find them anywhere do u have link ?
Here ya go:

I have a multipoint of proof device that I want to build but I need advice. If you are interested please let me know so I can pm/do
you
Thanks for that Rich, must see if I can source this over here in Ireland.
You can also find them on Ebay for about $10-$12 from a vendor in Thailand that are already assembled.

Can also use Ghost Gear Tech's Hideaway. It can be switched between REM or EMF, nice little 2-in-1- and no soldering required ghostgeartech.com
Thanks!!!
Hey nice-vid-really interesting
Are just take off the battery
