Two things: Try changing your VRAM usage target. I was set to high originally on my 3080 with unplayable stuttering. I lowered it to default (80%) and it fixed everything. Maybe go lower than 80% for the 1660. Also, make sure you're running the correct power plan (run either Ryzen balance or Ryzen High Performance). I have the same CPU as you. I did the windows update to get on to the same version mentioned at the start of this video (x20H2) and it reverted my power settings to normal balanced which created stuttering. 4:49 Just in addition, most of all Graphic settings in the AMD Software only applying to DirectX 9 Application or Games. That means, won't have any effect on the gameplay, due to AMD has intended that they only take effect in DirectX 9 games or in other word, for some kind of Legacy Support. The only one setting, which can make a difference is the Surface Optimization setting. If you have a FreeSync or G-Sync Monitor and you want actually benefit from both Variable Refresh Technologies, then you need to cap your fps either to your monitors refreshrate or a few fps lower. And this may sound a little bit ridiculous but you also want to toggle Freesync on. In my oppinion, if you running V-Sync a high refreshrate Monitor like 120 - 240Hz+ refresh rate, I don't see there any reasons for turning off V-Sync. At the end this is how you gonna get free or G-Sync actually to work

@@Lul-jz9eu Na I lost full I’m still getting 130-140 I’ve tried resetting everything and reinstalling, I might try factory resetting my pc but that’s too much work
@@laincyte4265 I found the fix. Basically for whatever reason something in this video made my pc start only running on 1 core instead of the 10 it should be on.
I opened up 'system config' in the windows search bar. Clicked 'advanced options', and then you can see the number of processors your pc is using. If it's not the amount it should be change it to the right amount and hit ok.
Hopefully that's the fix for yours too.
I honestly had no hope while doing this tutorial because the three i tried before it seemed similar and did nothing. But this was finally the won that made it work. Thank you.
Bro thank you so much! I recently got myself a full gaming setup with the desk, computer, Everything! I’m not loaded so I got myself the RTX 2060. I purchased Cold War and started playing, and wanted to cry! The FPS at max was 30 and it was horrendous to play! I didn’t want to go back to my Xbox, because I have the computer! So I have just played warzone instead. I started getting bored and wanted to get the camos for Cold War, but couldn’t play, thats when I can across this video. I have tried so many video and nothing has worked. I decided this video would be my last and then I would just give up. I did everything and now... Now I can play at 140 FPS, I can’t thank you enough! Your advice has helped me so much and I’m so happy now! Thank you!
What cpu
Man, you are great. I was having studdering problems with a 1660 super and idk what did it but it is no longer studdering. thanks and god bless.
Need this everytime new cod comes out lol
Facts lol
@GreenEYESfromOHIO It's possible since the game is so new that it needs a bit more optimization and compatibility when it comes to certain systems. Hopefully in the future we'll get a patch that helps with that.
Thank You so much... I went from having 90FPS-120FPS in game to 150-200FPS with a 2070 Super and a 3700x. This tutorial really works well
Broo new Windows 10 Optimization please!
this works 100% for 3070 as well, literally super stable.. thanks for this. everyone share this everywhere!!
what are you getting? i have a 3070 and ryzen 7 3700, i was getting 200 plus while doing the in game settings and then after doing everything after that im getting about 150
I had 80 to 100 fps and after doing this i now have 1 fps please help
Same dude, Idk how to fix this shit
I did not install the Program, but my FPS raised from 50-60 to 80to100 , thanks man .
I don't know if you will see this but do you recommend using ISLC while streaming? Single PC Streams.
Specs: Ryzen 9 3900x
rtx 3080
32gb ram 3600 mhz
x570 mobo
Using streamlabs obs at the moment
Streaming on TH-cam.
I am just worried if i try to free ram for the games it might affect my streaming quality or something?
I am not sure if you need any other info. Thanks

When I launch the game it overrides the config file, anyone else get this?
based on my experience. after following ur setting I went from good quality graphics with 60-80+ fps to decent graphics with excellent 120 fps, Thank u so much man👌
My Specs:
RTX 2060 EXTREME
Ryzen 7 3700x
16 GB RAM 3000MHz
600w Power supply
idk what mainboard
Everything on "High"= 90 FPS on average
Everthing on "Low/Disabled"= 155 FPS
After this Video= 220 FPS
Really helped me out thanks haha
Thank you for making this quick and easy. People who are inexperienced with computers just need to slow the video down
i was getting 60 fps now I'm getting 144
thank u
How the fuck lmao, must be been locked frame rate or something what's ur specs?
Yes it's 2024, but yes, the game is still fun. I used your suggestions and went from 110-120 before to hitting easy 180-190 now. Thanks so much for this in-depth guide.
Everything I have tried for this game didn’t work. Still getting 30-40 fps in game and only around 60 in the main lobby.

Wow! Thank you. Actioned everything up to the config file and now my multiplayer games don't lag or stutter to the point of being unplayable.
12:50 What happened to the "Ultimate Performance" power plan that used to be recommended?
And what about setting the game exe to high priority in task manager? It may be placebo, but I think I noticed less stuttering with it set to high
@@nic.g21 This helps a Lot! Much stutter in the game, setting it to high helps

Ultimate performance is useless. do not use it. wears on parts.
Watched this video on how to config nvidia control panel and this one on optimizing Cold War. What I’ve noticed in just hours of playing today is my game doubled in fps which is amazing b/c I was previously running matches between 80-100 fps with dips and gun fights. Now it’s steadily running between 150-220 which is way smoother on my 2080 super and cleaner gameplay. Thanks man

@@xgooya1414 yeah haha
Thanks for the help! I was really surprised to find out that increasing your FOV increased your performance.
No increasing fov decreases fps even cod themselves said it
This took me from 30-40 FPS to 100-110. Looks amazing, thank you 🙌

No clue why, but I had the same thing, but when I opened up spotify before the game, it went away. I think it is an error on spotify's part
thanks a lot man, my game used to look as a potato with low fps and now it looks nice and now I can use correctly my 144hz monitor :3

How about they just make the game optimized since they make like a 700 million dollars a month
They really need to optimize the game bad. The graphics are not even that great with high settings and you still manage to get shit fps even with a good pc.

At the end this is how you gonna get free or G-Sync actually to work
Why is my framerate capped at 162? Do I have to go into the config file to change this? My framerate is set to unlimited in game.
Thanks a bunch editing the game config gave me a 30fps boost while somehow making the anti aliasing better
Totally works ! Went from 80-90 FPS to 160-70 FPS with a rtx 3060

I have an issue that i have like 100 fps but when i move the camera the fps go down to 20 and 30 and server latency in zombies solo goes to 30 instead of 10 like always. Help?
same
If you can keep up with him this is awesome. Just went from 100 fps on cod to 160 steady! Buddy thank you!!
Oh, Hey don't forget to constantly delete %temp% files in between matches to keep your memory up to date! (:
This works!! HOWEVER...if there are any updates to Call of Duty BOCW or NVIDIA updates the settings in the config file change. They either reset back to whatever settings they were, or partially save the settings you saved. I have not tried this running as the admin however. This isn't a very good PC port of the game lol I honestly believe there is an issue with the NVIDIA Game Filters..if those are disabled then the game seems to work fine. Oh and my setup is:
Intel i9 9900K
Aorus Pro Wi-Fi Motherboard
EVGA 2080 Super
32GB RAM
I hope this helps anyone who has a setup similar to mines that has an issue..

Just to add that youre wrong about the amount of fps you get when you adjust your FOV. The higher the FPS, the less frames you get and vice versa.
