100% agree the mix of dogs to produce an XL Bullie are fighting dogs , the original Bull dog was bred to fight Bulls ( need we say more )
These dogs are weapons on a lead , and most of the owners want them for that reason, as you say you can’t train out breeding traits that are ingrained in a breed .
Reading a dogs body language is one thing and most people are not able to do that , with these XL Bullies it happens so fast that you wouldn’t be able to intervene. They are mostly owned by people who want them to look and act aggressively that’s a sad fact , I say most people but not all .
For me it beggars belief that anyone would want a dog that could potentially kill people .
Much more needs to be done to stop this . Obviously putting a ban in place has not helped

Let me start by saying that I am Autistic and, when I was younger, my special interest was dogs. I would still consider myself a knowledgeable and passionate dog lover, having done a LOT of learning via books, talking to dog carers and one behaviourist and via the internet.
While the victims of all dog attacks and their families have my sympathies, I believe that there is no such thing as an all-aggressive breed/type. Prejudice is wrong, whether it’s humans or nonhumans who are the victims. Of course genetics do play a role in determining a dog’s behaviour and temperament, but I believe that they are not the only thing that determine their temperament and behaviour. Upbringing, training, socialisation and just the individual dog’s personality also play a role. I have met at least one American Bully (not necessarily an XL, though) who was fine. The fact that some do attack doesn’t mean that they all will. It’s as bad as blaming all people of a particular religion, race, gender, nationality or belief for violent crimes simply because some members of that group have been influenced through being part of that group (for whatever reason) to commit violent crimes.
Hate, prejudice and killing, whether of any human or nonhuman, doesn’t solve anything. We just need more effective, humane and fair legislation aimed at reducing and tackling the problem of all dog attacks on humans and other species, regardless of breed or type. This isn’t just silly dog lover nonsense; even the most passionate of haters of bully breeds/rotties/etc should agree that any measures that protect children and other people from dog attacks are a good thing, and that is a common ground that maybe we can agree on here. It has been proven that breed bans don’t work. More effective legislation could include making treating all animals with respect and kindness and behaving in ways that don’t frighten or provoke them required education in all primary and high schools, requiring well-regulated and compassionate dog licenses and requiring that all new dog carers take their dogs to socialisation classes and positive reinforcement training classes, as well as requiring better checking of all potential new dog carers by breeders, shelters, rescues and anyone trying to sell/rehome their dog/s.
That being said, great condolences, love, compassion, kindness and respect to all the victims and their families…

She yelped and ran behind me, she still loves being around other dogs despite being attacked twice in her short life...I wish all these clueless people that are branding these dogs as ALL Dangerous as they are not, the media is picking on this breed because of a knee jerk reaction due to "in most cases" suspected or alleged xl bully attacks but not reporting any other dog attacks, I've had people shout out from there cars for me to
To put my devil dog down etc.....my lovely soft hearted dog has been an emotional support dog since I had a mental breakdown a Yr ago and if not for her I wouldn't be here...
I've done Everything required legal wise to keep her so no problem there its just these do gooders that don't even own a pet put in there bit that get on my nerves....any dog can be dangerous !, if these xl bullies were that tough why don't police forces and the armed forces use them but choose German shepherd's or Belgian malinois dogs etc ?...its nothing more than a witch hunt, I wonder what breed the government will choose next to ban

Why has nobody mentioned the fact that for 2 years of lockdowns people haven't been able to socialise their dogs like you are meant to do? To make them less reactive to everyone & everything, they could see as a threat as a young puppy. My dog & others around where I live have been attacked by the same dog causing the death of a dog in September & the cops never destroyed it even though it bit the owner of the poor dog it was attacking. This dog had an order on it from attacking my dog & the stupid junkie refuses to put her dog down, it's a great dame lurcher cross size of a dane, snipey face of the lurcher & is over 6ft on its hind legs, caused thousands in damages yet nothing gets done about it. I really do believe it's all down to the owner & the training & socialising that makes a good pet not leaving it in for hours howling at anyone or any dog that walks by it paces the whole house & my neighbour who lives below it is constantly having to listen to it bark, howl everytime it sees my dog come & go when it goes out for walks 2 weeks ago it pulled her off her feet n was dragging her along the path trying to get to my dog thankfully he managed to get back home without being attacked again but she is such a useless owner it even knocked her tooth out a few months ago she can't control it & is frightened of it but wont do the right thing & get it put to sleep as its too far gone by chewing & eating parts of the last dogs body that passed 5 days after the attack, cops didn't have the heart to put it to sleep. People need to step up when deciding to get a dog train until your dog does it automatically & don't use them to up your status symbol it's not cool it's pathetic 🙄

We wait by the door and I go out first it takes a while to establish this rule. Once on the walk we practice walking, stopping and the dog must listen to me. I've no problem getting a licence for my dog, but I have a sappy Cocker Spaniel, which is not the same as an XL Bully and he knows it isn't. Stop acting like there's not a problem with dangerous breeds. I think all owners should be responsible for their dogs- but part of that responsibility is choosing a breed you can handle.

It's not the dog. Some breeds are docile, some are protective, and some are in between, it's the owner! This is a joke right? A dog trainer who sleeps in bed with 5 dogs . Ridiculous! The club bulldogs are too big and powerful to risk having as a family pet as any dog can bite, and a lot of people don’t have a clue about how to train a dog. It’s all about dominance, and if you let your dogs sleep on you and jump all over your bed then that can cause a problem in itself.

Fewer dog owners 😂😂😂. My dog's not nice. If it wasn't for me, him, and other dogs like him would never get homes. Yes i get triublesome dogs. Yes i train. No, im not stupid and put anyone or anything at risk. Anything strong and powerful should be on a lead or off lead but with a muzzle. Yes dogs show signs but if they are off lead, and without a muzzle, there's not much you can do with such a muscled dog to stop anything. I agree, owners need to be taught but the breed does matter too. Yes all dogs can turn and all dogs can bite. A miniture poodle can bite, will break flesh, might need stitches. An XL bully can bite, rip chunks of skin off, break through bones like its a twig and that breed goes for the neck. Think about the muscle, jaw strength etc. Mine is a big dog but not bully. Ive not had to get exemption certificate but he does where a muzzle and is always on a lead. I know my dog. He has never.bItten but i don't want to give him the chance to find out. Just because owners need teaching, doesn't mean it's the owners fault. My mums dog attacking was her fault. My dog attacking isn't my fault
