Hello again. What a coincidence, I'm a faster as well. BTW, I live in an almost identical climate as you. I just shovelled about a meter of snow. I'm currently in South Western Ontario but I plan on moving off grid within a year to somewhere near Thunder Bay Ontario. Then we'll almost be neighbours. I'll be a stones throw away from Minnesota. It's beautiful country up there. I'm an early retired environmental scientist and I'm very much looking forward to living off grid. As for the fasting, I started about two years ago. I don't own a scale and I have no idea what I weigh. I just know that since I started intermittent fasting I lost all my body fat and I once again have ripped abs. I can now fit perfectly into a pair of jeans that I had saved from when I was 22 years old. I eat each days food in a 2 to 4 hour window. Usually starting around 8 or 9 pm. If I'm eating with friends or family for supper, I'll simply move my eating window earlier so it lines up. I also fast every second or third weekend. The autophagy that has been happening since I started fasting has completely cured me of severe memory loss. I was scoring about 40% on memory tests before fasting. After fasting I scored 100%. My memory has been completely restored and I no longer get tested for memory loss. I'm almost always in a happy mood and life is good. Now this will probably gross you out, but I get most of my protein from crickets. They are organically farmed by three Canadian brothers a few hours away from me. These crickets are about the most sustainable protein I know of and their nutrient profile is similar so healthy fish oils. I look forward to following your channel. Peace, Calvin.
Hi Calvin, What a coincidence! I just created a video about trying OMAD (One Meal A Day) with a late meal right before I saw your comment. I'll keep you posted to see how it goes! I'm posting a day after, so that will post on 12/21/24. I’ve found that eating in the morning and stopping at noon works well for weight loss, but it unfortunately causes sugar fluctuations throughout the day that make it difficult to work and focus, and I end up eating more. I’m hoping that by sleeping after I eat, I will have more control. I’m so happy for your transformation - that’s truly inspirational! Your journey with intermittent fasting and its benefits, including the memory improvements, is amazing. Also, I find it fascinating that you get most of your protein from crickets. It's a sustainable and nutrient-rich source, and I admire your commitment to sustainability. Looking forward to sharing more experiences and learning from each other.
