It was so difficult to talk about this topic because of all the misinformation conveniently shared by the mainstream media (in some countries it was just abundant and pretty difficult to fight against, as it was in mine, Spain). So glad to see someone speaking up and just spilling facts. Loved the part about being part of a polarised society which does not leave room for grey areas, middle ground seems to be non-existent. Been a subscriber for quite a lot of time and I honestly don't really know why you haven't reached the 10K mark yet, so much phenomenal and insightful content. If you want our Spanish subscribers to discover your channel (and your witty character), you can always have a place at our lives in the Puntodebreak channel in the upcoming weeks (hey, might as well give it a shot) ;) Kind regards, Illya, and all the best for the following tournaments! :)
Good to see you've got the balls to give your opinion openly. There comes a point where you have to wonder if a country is fit to have the privilege of organising international sport events. The worst bit is the "thought crime" that was in the end given for his deportation order: "he could entice civil disobedience by his non-supportive attitude towards vaxx". How about if France starts deporting key rugby players from the AUZ squad at the forthcoming French organised Rugby world cup, because these players have been vocal against the French submarine diplomatic argument between Australia and France, and that their stance could be disruptive on French territory and go against government policies? Where does it end?
what you dont understand is it doent matter if you are Rasist against the Jab ! this is about trying to stop the Panademic! So countrys like Serbian need to lern we are all in it together !
Illya made an emotionless analysis only, keeping a distance to not get involved on none of sides (like a court should). It is for all, for fans and haters also - maybe he could open the eyes of some strong supporters (from both side).
Ilya, a bit of sober view over the scandal, thank you ! I accept Aussies decision actually, their country, their right. Hope Nole will still become GOAT this year.
True. They can do what they want. The thing is it’s a Grand Slam. And ATP and ITF just accept it. Imagine this would happen in China, Russia or some other “not democratic” country…
@@Illya_Marchenko Yeah, great thought, it's true we're kind of "more forgiving" towards a democratic country like Australia is. I still think Novak would have a different outcome, had he approached more moderately the situation. I hope he at least gets this 3 years ban cancelled.
@@AlexFeldman There's no need to confirm it - it's attached in the Federal Court documentation, plain for all to see. The document is the one which has DUBAI on top, recording the answers which Djokovic gave to the Border Force officials before boarding in Dubai. It clearly shows that he said he had been in other countries in previous 14 days. The document is burried in the huge wadge of documents provided by his lawyers, there's about 260 or 270 pages, and the doc you want is towards the end of the wadge, from memory somewhere between page 240 and 260.

Iliya, You and Stakhivskii are muddying the water. Simple, his visa was granted based on a false declaration… he stated he was not traveling prior to his arrival… he was in Spain. The protocol is that if you indicate wrong info on the application, you get sent back and have to start the process of application again from the start. The only reason he was even let in the country is because he is “Novak”. He should have been sent home immediately according to protocol. We don’t even need to touch upon vaccines. I am not even mentioning the fact that if he had not “made a mistake” on his application, he would not be eligible for the Visa (what a coincidence, right?) this was all a big joke and Novak screwed up and tried to BS his way out of it.
You are completely messed up with visa and travel declaration - these are two different things. And you clearly have no idea about 2 court processes and what they were about 🤷♂️
@@Illya_Marchenko Exactly, there are 2 different issues here. 1 issue is the exemption granted on the grounds of having covid. 2nd issue is false declaration. A false deceleration trumps everything else. Even without covid and vaccines, according to Australian law (and basically the laws of most other countries) providing a false declaration results in the visa being revoked and the applicant is sent back... that is it... if he had not gone to Spain, he would have been in AO... I dont understand why some people chose to ignore this Elephant in the room.
@@Illya_Marchenko Thanks to the media circus around this story, this simple fact got lost. He submitted a false travel declaration. This point is enough. It is even better for him to keep this simple. Otherwise people end up talking about a. "the perfect timing of his covid positive test, so that he can make it to Paris and Wimbledon. b. The fact (which you pointed out in your video) about negative/positive QR code and how quickly the Serbian government "fixed" it once the media found out. c. The absolute salad of misinformation he provided in his interviews with the customs. The Australian government of course made a mess as well, but as much as I like Novak, he made so many mistakes, that he left the government no choice but to deport him.
The people who demonstrated in support of Djokovic in Australia only made it worse for him. They tipped it over the line for the Australian authorities to use 'good order' reasons to deport him from the country, because public sentiments against Djokovic solidified after those little episodes. It may have felt better for them to behave badly, some also say in an over-the-top, nationalistic and fanatical manner, but it worked against Djokovic and he himself was more than likely hoping they kept quiet as he knew it wasn't helping his cause. Hope there's a lesson in that for some people.
And how do you figure that one?!? Yours is a stupid comment (and that's being kind). This video is the most objective report I've seen in a long time (mainstream media, take note).
