Back in the day, I had zero clue as to what a memory card was. I used to think all games were meant to be played in one shot. This was one of those games.
Mannn Crash Warped had me so mad. I literally played the trilogy outta order. And was super mad when the game wouldn't let me just through that electric gate and I kept tryna jump over it til I realized I have to beat the levels to get to the next warp room lol
I was just thinking about the same thing after i got the trilogy, i thought i was alone bro, every game i played in my childhood i played from the beginning every time, i thought that memory card space was for some type of special controller. I would leave my console on so i wouldnt lose my progress lol.
I spent half my childhood playing this game. I don't have my PS1 copy anymore but I have it on PS4 and the Switch. No other kart racer can compare to CTR it's the best kart racer game ever made
@@Turnpost2552 I mean to me mk64 is one of the lamer mario karts ever made, I had it emulated on my school laptop and while I enjoyed it it also felt really flat and there wasn't enough to keep me in it. it could be nostalgia for you and i get that, mkwii is my favourite for that reason and i have a similar opinion to you but the other mario karts aren't straight up garbage they are good games just not better than wii
I still keep my PS1 copy but also have it on PS3 The original version is much better than the PS4 Only one time i did 101% the easiest way is with coco bandicoot If i begin now,i will be too lazy :)
I remember me and some other dude were the strongest CTR players in our PS club/local .. We did a duel and the people who spectated were like "holy crap, they turbo all map.." ... My opponent was a bit older and a bit more skilled, so I lost, but it was an epic duel .. will never forget it. Great childhood because of CTR !

I was born in 99 and my dad had a ps1. I grew up watching him play this and Spyro. This was my first racing name and one of my first gaming memories. Nothing has ever come close to hitting such hard nostalgia I love it thank you for the video

She was way more into racing games than I was, so she played this more than I did, but back in the day, it was fun just watching someone else play in person. She loved playing as Crash's sister or the tiger, while I always picked Crash. We always made fun of whatever words came outta the Tiki mask's mouth whenever you got his power up on a track. I referred to N.Gin as that alien dude when asking Dad to help me pick characters and understand how to play video games. I can't believe this was that long ago and how much easier things were. Used to run home from school with my brother when we were teens to play a few hundred battles and races on this game. Once we had our fill we put in Mario Kart 64 and blasted that for hours. Often our friend would visit after school she would join in. My mum complained our neighbours could hear us screaming too much, told us to close the windows - turn it down! - come and eat! Ahhh the best years of my life were the ones spent on this.... hmm if I recall there was just GREEN all over the track, so much chaos - OH! Getting those extra boosts on corners was THE unique trick I loved this game for ^_^

Damn, this game looks so good! (for the system and time it came out.) I've always loved the naughty dog style. One half made this game and the other half of naughty dog made jak & daxter, another game with amazing looking graphics for the time.
My town was (kinda still is) so far behind in technology arrival my brothers and i had to go to downtown to rent a ps1 just for a couple hours. We'd spend most of the time laughing our asses off playing this. Miss it like you have no idea.

20:14 it's crazy how the craziest boss of the game, Ripper Roo is the most humble one when defeated compared to most of the sane bosses that you beat in the game.
Nostalgia's a powerful drug. Never played this game so I have no attachment to it but I've played cart racers since mario kart on snes and I'd say the two best I've played were sonic and sega all stars racing and mario kart 8.
Naughtydog knew how to make crash games, (well, I guess they must since they created the bandicoot) but the other companies... They have no idea how to (although, Vicarious Visions Activition Beenox and Toys for Bob are skiing a good job bringing crash back)
The kind of evil things my bro and I did to one another in this game is hilarious! Placing potions, tnt, or nitro on dash pads with leaps. Either way, anyone who gets it will fall. Nitro is the best---they camouflage with dashpads and it's difficult to discern when playing split screen.
