This episode confirmed my suspicion that Mario becomes very unstable whenever he is left alone. This made me wonder, “What if Mario’s friends left him alone for too long”? Would he devolve into pure insanity similar to how he was when he was initially zapped by SMG4’s Guardian Pod? Very interesting episode.
SMG4 heard people saying "Mario keeps getting interrupted by other characters" and went to the maximum lmao. Honestly though, this is a really good episode!!! Do want to see more Mario-focused episodes like this more!!

Alternate Ending: Mario was about to jump off the building, Luigi manages to see him from afar and then he runs out to help him using the BLJ, he goes up the building and tries to save him, Mario seeing Luigi is very happy that he hugs him so tight here Luigi explains that they have been busy with a secret project and they can't reveal what it is but you can invite him so blindfold him and cover his nose to prevent him from seeing and smelling the pizza and everyone at the event is enjoying the biggest pizza in the world the event ends and the gang wins the record and to compensate Mario for abandoning him they decide to give him the pizza. Mario is very happy and starts eating the pizza while his friends saw him feeling proud that Mario has not ruined the event.

You know having an idea with Mario being alone almost is a very cool idea but surprises me this that this didn’t happen a while back. But now that we finally got the episode I must say that this is truly one of SMG4’s funniest episodes yet. Especially the best joke where Mario is pretending the dummies are his friends and immediately realizes how stupid that was. Overall a very smart idea for an episode still though I am surprised it took him a while.

No he doesn't. This isn't the first time Mario messed something up and got punished for it. Mario needs to learn actions have consequences. i genuinely feel sorry for mario on this one. they literally abandoned him for a thing that considering everything else wasn't even that bad. sure he ruined a demo pizza but he has done worse with a lot less reaction from others. this though.. this was pretty much a betrayal. cause seriously he went insane. mario is a goofball but not mean hearted to his friends (most of the time he can be mean hearted to randoms) but that should be the final straw. if not that it should be damn near final. cause they didn't only abandoned him. they beat him up as well for something that wasn't even his fault. cause he was worried and clearly in a shiity place.

This is the first time , where the chaos was not on Marios behalf for once. Kinda feel bad for him, for getting his ass beat after a literal trauma.

Im... genuinely surprised by this outcome. Mario's friends left him alone, without leaving so much as a note, making him go insane, you can see how sad mario was, he actually cares for his friends and their wellbeing. This wasnt mario's fault, he's just mario, and I'm surprised he wasnt crying when he finally seen his friends alive. Nobody should blame mario for this.

I wouldn't call this a bad episode, but it was a bit heartbreaking. Everyone of Mario's friends left him just for a world record, causing Mario to lose all grasp of reality and go mentally insane to the point of getting hallucinations. And what do they do when Mario arrives? They get mad at him just because he ruined their work and beat him up. It's their fault for not letting Mario know about their absence. I feel awful for Mario.
Still a cool and creative episode, so no disrespect to Luke and his team. It's just kinda sad.

I've seen a lot of people saying that the rest of the cast was definitely in the wrong here, and I agree. It'd be interesting to see a deeper dive into Mario's response to this, hell, a deeper dive to Mario's response to everything that's happened. Though as much as I hate to dampen the hope of fellow fans, I don't think Mario would change THAT drastically. I could be wrong, maybe the boys have been leading up to something genuinely meaningful with Mario. We can clearly see Mario has gotten more self-aware, both of himself and others around him.
It's not entirely by much, but it's definitely noticable in certain moments. Personally I think Mario won't get a character arc, at least not a major one like Saiko's or Meggy's. I agree with everyone in saying that it'd be really cool if he did, and we got to see the gang have genuine, weighted consequences for their actions. But I'm personally keeping the bar low, nothing against Luke, Kevin or the team, but that's just how the more episodic videos are styled. They have been for a long time, you know?
But I'd love to be proved wrong.
If you look hard enough, and squint a little, you will notice that Mario is and has been undergoing a character arc for a while now. A very, very slow one. Still haven't figured out what direction he is being taken in but I know he is going somewhere.

I can't help but say that sometimes they really exaggerate with Mario. in fact mario would really need his own character arc, but not only to evolve mario himself, but also to make the whole gang understand how important mario was in everyone's existence and how they should be more responsible for his stupidity. slenderman would look great for the role of guardian of fate or something as well as being mario's best friend he should also be a lot more present in smg4 videos.
After being abandoned by the entire city, driven insane, and finally beaten up for what was an accident this time, I could see Mario snap. I could see him say some harsh words to the others, and leave the Mushroom Kingdom. I could see Luigi and maybe even Meggy try to stop him, realizing they went to far.

Perhaps this could be the start of a "Normal Mario" arc where one day, something happens that causes Mario to turn back to the classic Nintendo mascot that we have all grown to love. He soon realizes that SMG4 has corrupted his world, messed it up beyond recognition. The Normal Mario arc paints Mario as the villian as he tries to fix things to how they once were.

For some reason,i wish there was a episode where he doesnt trust anybody anymore because of him getting beaten up for breaking Luigi's trophy of doing absolutely nothing,and in the middle of the episode Mario starts to beat up his friends on purpose so they feel what he felt,it would be a arc called "Untrustful" and the end of the episode would be him realizing the damage he did to his friends,but he decides to do even more damage to the point SMG1 and SMG2 try to stop Mario,but they can't kill him because of his "Avatar of the universe" status,they would try to revive Axol,bringing back SMG0,but uncorrupted and separated from Axol,and Mario would try to fight Melony simply because she was the only one he didnt fight,Mario loses but decides to retreat to get stronger by absorbing memes(or whatever he did in the genesis arc) just to finally kill those who he called "Friends" and live a peaceful life without his younger brother,fake guardians,alive melon and stupid squid,annoying weeb,living anime character and annoying gamer,and his other faker friends. Finally FM and X came back to the smg4 videos I have missed them so much.
this time around the gang and the rest of the mushroom kingdom in general were really over the top in punishing mario in this way. in fact, despite mario destroyed the second pizza, it is actually a consequence of the gang in having made him lose what little sanity he had and it is completely useless to get pissed off in this way. there have been unpopular episodes in the series, but this is to be considered on a par with the loud hose episode no suck luck.
They forgot that Mario is their avater.

According to what I've searched, autophobia will always be the fear of both being alone and also of oneself, but monophobia will only ever be the former. If you're still a bit confused, I can explain it some more.
Alternate ending: Mario breaks down after everything that happened and goes to jump off the roof into a high-rise building. But SMG4 saw this and called for a helicopter. After Mario fell in the helicopter and saw his friends again, so saved him from suicide. And Mario, Luigi and Meggy eat pizza and laugh together in a helicopter, watching everything from the sky... 9:19

I want a episode where Mario snaps at everyone and go back to the original Mario and blames SMG4 for turning into an idiot because let's face fact, mario would not be this way if it wasn't for smg4 and his broken ship. I wonder if Smg4 ever felt bad for making him this way or does he even know?

Maybe in a moment of breakdown, SMG4's USB effects gets deleted and the original Mario returns, having experienced all that happened and becoming full of rage (and maybe insane) and decided to turn everything back to how they were before SMG4 arrived.

I kind of knew what was going to happen here, the plot is kind of like National No SpongeBob Day (I can’t remember the title of that episode, but I just remember that’s why everyone leaves SpongeBob alone for a day), except the difference is that instead of doing it for healthy reasons, they did it for a world record. I genuinely hated everyone in this episode for leaving Mario with no indication as to where they went, basically leaving him to rot. As the Joker once said, “you get what you f*ckin deserve!”

I think we need a a Mario story arc, Fed up after everyone including his own friends hate him, Mario decided to leave the mushrooms kingdom and never return ever again. And land into alternate universe where he meet new friends where he can understand.
Does anyone else find it rather heartbreaking that every time Mario is left alone or is made to believe that nobody likes him, he eventually commits suicide? Like in the "Mario becomes uncanny" episode, where after he is made to believe all of his friends are not even real, he eventually escapes the simulation by jumping off a building with the intentions of offing himself?
Same here, just with a bit more of a comedic twist and Mario already in the clutches of insanity. I find it rather intriguing that without friends or others around, Mario eventually slips down into insanity or into severe depression and eventual suicide. Mario has a tragically fragile mental state and the only thing keeping him alive is the presence of his friends or knowing he's loved.
It almost seems like...someone is trying to make Mario as delusional and depressed as possible. Taking advantage of his fragile mental state. Maybe the past few arcs inflicted a lot of trauma onto Mario than we or his friends realize and Mario is hiding it behind a false mask of stupidity and ignorance.
He's trying so hard to keep himself together, but one misstep and Mario spirals into a very negative mental state and becomes a danger to himself. It also seems like his friends don't even seem to know it's happening or what he's going through mentally. Which is very sad.
When will they learn? Maybe if there's an arc where Mario leaves and the gang has to go find him or something? Maybe then they'll realize they've been horrible friends

I honestly can't lie about this.
I'm starting to see that in more recent videos that Mario's presumed "friends" are really starting to act more and more meaner to him just because of who he is, and this episode is no exception. Dare I say that they were just being a bunch of trousers.
I honestly wouldn't be surprised at all if eventually Mario just questions or straight up abandoned his friends, cause if you really think about it: sure SMG4's Mario has done some things themselves, but so has everyone else, however his actions are somehow the one to weight down on him and now anyone else.
I know this may just be me getting older and what not and this isn't a slander to the SMG4/Glitch company since they for sure do an amazing job on making stuff that really makes people laugh, but I can't help but see that we have had a lot more SMG4's Mario torture recently.

I really hope this episode leads into a ‘Realization’ Arc. Mario does something stupid again, Meggy catches him slams him into the wall. Mario gets pissed as she pulls the last straw. He gets pissed at his friends for his relationships with each them, and then he storms out of the castle. SMG4, Meggy, Bob, and the others all shrug it off. Luigi begins to point out about Mario’s saying to each of them. They give some thought about it and just don’t care.
Luigi leaves to find Mario, when he does… Mario wanted nothing to do with him and was on the verge of committing suicide and collapsing the universe because he felt no one appreciates him. He runs away so he doesn’t commit in front of his brother.
Luigi calls SMG4 to tell him that Mario is on the verge of suicide and to get everyone he can to search for him and stop him….

Premise: Mario went somewhere without telling anyone, no one realizes until, a day after he left, Luigi realizes Mario didn't bother him yesterday, in fact he didn't see him at all yesterday. Luigi questions everyone else if they saw Mario yesterday, no one did, Luigi starts freaking out since its not like Mario to not bother anyone for a day. Everyone else is kinda freaked out too and speculating that he's up to something when SMG4 says not to panic and that he has a plan to lure Mario out and pulls out a massive plate of spaghetti and a giant fan to blow the smell out into the horizon to lure Mario in. Everyone smiles thinking it will work.
*3 hours later*
It didn't work. The spaghetti is untouched and Mario hasn't shown up.
The cast are absolutely shocked, SMG4 slowly turns around with wide eyes
SMG4: "OK. Time to panic."
Chaos breaks out. Everyone is panicking like crazy until Meggy calms everyone down and says that they need to look for Mario.
Everyone searches for Mario, they look everywhere, the dessert, the ocean, the supermarket, the restaurants, Inkopilis, SMG4 even hunted down SMG3 and demanded to know if he had done something with Mario but SMG3 has no idea where Mario is, they spend days looking everywhere but they can't find him.
Everyone's really worried now, scared that something happened to Mario. They're all discussing where he could be and coming up with plans when Mario himself pulls up and says hi to everyone with a big smile. They all stare in shock before dogpiling him, they're happy he's back at first but then get angry and demand to know where he went. Mario tells them he went to a fancy island resort with a magical barrier that prevented anything coming in unless it had a ticket (hence why the spaghetti and fan trick didn't work) someone says "And you didn't think to tell us!?
Mario, in a moment of pettiness replies with "Doesn't feel so good does it?"
Everyone instantly loses their anger, realising this was pretty much the same thing they had done to him for the pizza record, left without saying anything or even a note. Everyone apologises to Mario for both getting angry at him and not telling him when they left him, Mario accepts their apology and says he wants to take a nap before gasping, seeing the giant plate of spaghetti on the roof of the castle. He screams in excitement before jumping into the plate and doing his usual bit. The rest of the crew laughs and the video ends.

Just watched all of it, and I'd say this episode was... Intriguing lol feel almost like there's hints of something larger at play(namely the computer monitor person... Hope it's Stanley), but interesting end, I was expecting Mario to somehow dodged out the way in a character development type fashion with the buildup to the moment, but c'est la vie...

I've seen a lot of people saying that the rest of the cast was definitely in the wrong here, and I agree. It'd be interesting to see a deeper dive into Mario's response to this, hell, a deeper dive to Mario's response to everything that's happened. Though as much as I hate to dampen the hope of fellow fans, I don't think Mario would change THAT drastically.
The gang probably deserved it, because they left Mario just for the largest pizza . The aftermath of the largest pizza is so massive that it could most likely result in a Arc, The gang is so Mad at Mario ruining the Pizza, it is huge damage you can imagine. Mario will get mistreated by a lot, that He will not forgive his friends. It will cause a Arc called the Mario Arc, or the Clown Arc. Mario will release his true form, Mario is known to be Dumb, but once Mario will not forgive his friends, he will release his smart and powerful form that has been jailed inside him. Mario is very smart, he's acting to be Dumb in SMG4 videos, Whatever Arc is next, Mario will be the most powerful, and smartest in that Arc, and probably the main antagonist, Or Let's go back to Clown fever, everyone in the Mushroom Kingdom turned into clowns, the problem wasn't solved, This could mean that depresso must have control of the mushroom kingdom, but Mario didn't got the fever, I guess he is just too strong to be affected. so that is the Clown Arc, where Mario has to Stop that clown from controlling his friends, that could also explain why Depresso was in that scene to beat up poor Mario?

everyone in the comments is giving their general opinion about this episode and who was in the wrong, so i'll give my own.
I honestly think it was a stupid idea to leave him behind for a world record, and beating him up at the end was entirely just kind of brutal. I thought the cast (excluding mario) would've gotten used to mario's antics, but i guess not.
Once again, it was kind of brutal leaving him to drown in the stress, anxiety, despair and insanity of not having anyone around. this episode has me worried for mario, but also kind of interested if mario would ever have a character arc.
The mario character arc might be the only people he's ever loved and valued above all most pushing him to his limits, leading him once again into despair. and then; mario becomes a villain to kill his friends; (but his only weakness might be hurting his brother.)
Of course, its his own brother that he has to literally murder in order to achieve peace, but i think at the end of his arc i believe he might cause a giant explosion that gives him memory loss, and he might become the stupid mario he used to be.
The crew might treat him less harshly, and even the meanest characters in the SMG4 crew would treat him with more respect if this ever came true.
Back to this episode, this made me genuinely worry for mario, and his mentality if this ever happens again. maybe a new character arc might appear? will he break out in genuine tears when he sees his friends again, but his friends, (excluding his brother, tari and meggy) just will not care and blame any disaster he "caused" that wasnt his fault on him again. maybe this is just me? who knows!!

After a year of ignoring this episode, I finally got around to watching it. People were saying this was among the worst SMG4 episodes to grace the channel. And now, I understand why...
To be honest Mario did gave them a lesson to never leave someone behind just for a project.
You know this episode was a little dark having the thought of that one day Mario’s friends might just one day just not want to be his friends and it could be a great arc concept that one day Mario does something really stupid which causes his friends to lash out at him and really hurt his feeling really badly causing Mario to think that it might have been better if they never meant and never became friends and runs away causing the characters to look for him and soon learn if they never meant him then they wouldn’t have had a great family like group they are now
