    Thank you for the video, even 3 years on it helped at least one person :)
    It must have taken a long time to film but it was very informative because I was sceptical about the concept of a cooling blanket ^^
    I particularly appreciated the temperatures being both in Fahrenheit and Celsius degrees. It's very nice to not have to do conversions.
    It's not much in return for your work but here is some gratitude from a stranger

      Hi! You're very welcome - I'm glad the video was helpful all these years later. And actually, your comment counts for a lot more than you might think. It always puts a smile on my face to read nice comments like yours, especially when you mention a specific reason you found the video useful. That kind of feedback is really valuable to me as it helps guide what I include in future videos. It's also great motivation to keep making videos. So thank you too:-)

    This review was very helpful! However I'm curious if you would ever consider doing more of an extensive review of some more knitted weighted blanket brands on the market? Other than Bearaby, or at least compared to it. There's Silk&Snow, Nuzzie, Yaasa, Italic, YnM, California Design Den, Zonli, and potentially others I have missed.
    I love your reviews on weighted blankets, very down to earth and you talk about things I actually would like to know, like the temperature!

      Thanks for the kind words, much appreciated! It's not something I'm planning on doing at the moment. It takes me a really, really long time to film and edit these comparison videos, so I am careful which ones I choose to do. I think comparing different brands that are all making a similar looking product doesn't make as much sense as comparing different styles and materials at this time.

      I bought a Hush Iced weighted blanket and returned it. Too hot. In the morning my underwear was damp all over and it was from being too hot and sweating. I returned the blanket (which was exactly as new and I used bamboo sheets to prevent any odour or stains), and they tried to screw me over on the return. Thankfully I video taped the unpacking and the return packing and after a couple of weeks got all my money back.

    • @nosleeplessnights1
      @nosleeplessnights1  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sorry to hear that Helena. It doesn't sound pleasant at all. I'm not sure a weighted blanket is the answer to night sweats really. I may be wrong, but I don't see how they could help in a meaningful way.
      I think it probably depends on what's causing the night sweats in the first place as to what bedding and/or fan based system might be more appropriate for you. And that's assuming the bedding is even going to make a difference. I would look into moisture wicking bedding, and if you have the cash to spend, perhaps look at the BedJet as that is marketed as helping night sweats because of the control over the air flow and temperature it gives you.
      All the best - I hope you find a solution!

    Could you do a similar video for Cold Sleepers ? Thank you !

    • @nosleeplessnights1
      @nosleeplessnights1  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I did think about it, but it's always hot sleepers that specifically ask me for suggestions, and never cold sleepers (until now!).
      But my intention with this video was to also suggest good ones for cold sleepers based on the simple fact that they aren't so good for hot sleepers. You can see which ones were warmest in the results section at the end of the video.
      The question is then, are there even better ones for cold sleepers? The only ones I've tried which are even warmer (from memory) tend to have the thickest minky duvet covers and more fiber fill in the internal pockets of the main blanket section. But they aren't always very breathable, so sometimes that extra warmth isn't ideal for the whole night.
      So really, I'd feel comfortable in recommending the Gravity blanket with the microfleece duvet cover as a great option for cold sleepers. If it's too expensive, you can find cheaper ones on sites like Amazon with warm duvet covers. Quility, for example, are warm, cheaper, and reasonably good quality.
      Honestly though, if you use any weighted blanket you like on top of your normal bedding, it will feel nice and warm. That's what I do in the winter, and it works really well.

    How is the breathability for YnM weighted blanket do you know?

    • @nosleeplessnights1
      @nosleeplessnights1  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Without a cover, it's probably middle of the pack in terms of breathability because there's quite a bit of fiberfill in the pockets, and the fabric isn't as breathable as some of the other blanket. With a cover, you can expect it to be even warmer. So it's not one I'd recommend for hot sleepers based on my experience with it.

    Probably one of the best review/comparison videos I've ever seen. Thank you! There is a Luxsome with cooling bamboo on both sides that I wonder if it might be cooler than the 1/2 cool, 1/2 warm cover. What do you think?

    • @nosleeplessnights1
      @nosleeplessnights1  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you so much for your very kind compliment! I really appreciate it:-)
      So, the thing with those covers is that they do feel cooler to the touch, and on the skin when you use them - especially when compared to minky covers which tend to feel much warmer and trap more heat. But, and it's an important but, a lot of the overall heat is generated by the main weighted blanket insert. So yes, bamboo on both sides will feel cooler than one that has a warmer material on one side, but the insert will still trap a fair bit of heat as the night progresses.

      I’d like to throw in my two cents and agree with Mr. No Sleepless Nights. I own the Luxome with the 2 different sides, and I agree with his assessment about why it’s so warm. It’s too warm for me for summer in Nebraska! Tomorrow the temp is supposed to his 102 degrees. 🫠

    • @nosleeplessnights1
      @nosleeplessnights1  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I haven't tried it, no. I imagine it might feel a bit cooler to the touch. But really, them main way the Bearaby is cooler than the rest is the air holes, not the material choice in my opinion. I might be wrong, but I'd be surprised if the Tencel instead of cotton made such a big difference, so I'd just choose the one you like the feel of.

    • @nosleeplessnights1
      @nosleeplessnights1  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi. I haven't tried the tencel tree napper. I imagine it will be very similar. I don't think it's so much the material that makes it breathable, but all the air holes in the weave. Maybe I'm wrong and it feels more or less breathable, but my first thought would be that they are similar.
