when you do the sticks and dpad mod, you don’t have to take the bottom shell off, you just lift the face plate off and change the things out and then just put it back on without touching the bottom 👌

so.....if you're going to buy the controller ($60) the strike pack ($30) the elite accessories ($25) and the trigger stops ($15ish) for a total of about $130...why not just spend another $20 and buy the real elite? its build quality is VASTLY better than a regular controller. I mean don't get me wrong, its cool you can do this....it just makes more sense to buy the real thing
COREcasual the controller comes with the console, and you don't need the magnetic pieces, so this is much cheaper
personally, I wouldn't take apart the one that came with the console, because if i messed it up, I'd be without a controller. But if someone wants to take apart the only controller they have...then I guess that's up to them. If I were going to do this, I'd buy an extra one so I'd have a backup.
Much cheaper but not the real thing. It's missing the buttons on the back, the trigger stops, The superior triggers and bumpers & the ability to button map.
COREcasual but normal people aren't going to buy a brand new controller to do this on. They'll normally do it with the controller they have, bring the price to roughly $70
most reviews call the Elite a POS. Cheap plastic. Plus, it's more interesting and personal to put your own twist on it instead of provided Bill Gates with $150 dollars worth of tip at Red Lobster.
These magnetic sticks are really cool, i would buy them for my halo Controller. But it would be even cooler if they would add the elite Controllers to the design lab with some special editions (like a halo elite).

For those with a issue on the magnet on the bottom of the joystick. Take a flathead and gently pull it off and that's it. Simple as that, noticed mine was close to the plastic when I put the cover down so I did exactly that and now it's perfect. Most people don't tell you to take it off the bottom of the joystick because they don't realize you can
I removed it but my LT still gets triggered when moving LS; I checked, it only presses it to 1%, but even like that I'm constantly aiming in FPS... any help?
im a pc gamer... had a 360 then got a ps4... i never owned an xbox one console or controller... i do not know why the hell i watched this... i kept having urges to click away but i kept fighting them. i had zero need to watch this. left a like and now im never looking back.

Bigdaddygas do you have any problems with the left trigger going off by itself because of the magnet in the left joystick? I've heard lots of people saying this and I was wondering if it was true. If this did happen what did you do to fix it?

The joysticks are very loud against the plastic since they are metal. But on the elite controller, there are softer plastic rings that go around the holes around the joysticks which make it much quieter

Do not add the magnetic piece kit to the standard Xbox one controllers (one, one s, and one x)
There is a kit on Amazon that costs $20 that does the exact thing the magnetic kit does just without the magnets that come with the analogs and dpad.
I suggest using the collectiveminds strikepack 2 for Xbox one that adds better ergonomics that wasn't there with the strikepack shown in this video.
The trigger stop grips are a great option.
Faceplates on Amazon are only $10 - $15
Bumpers and triggers are generally $5 - $15 depending on who makes the kit you are looking at.
Get the scuf paddles for your Elite Controller. I freaking LOVE them.
@@MisterManiac everyone has their own oppinion. I love 'm. More room for your hands, little extra weight. And Scuf does indeed suck. But the paddles are just metal. No crappy plastic paddles that break after 3 weeks. You just click them on like a battery cover. I've had them for 18 months now, no problems.

The trigger pull also affects vehicles in Warzone. I learned that the hard way. I was lucky enough to have the elite remote, so it was a quick flip adjustment.
this is a perfect solution for my controller that just got the RB button broken and it a year old or so, ill just buy the bumper and that kit, thanks for the video it was really helpful

With the newer back attachment with 4 buttons, the bike issue in Destiny isn't a problem. I'm about to order this kit for I too would like trigger stops and the elite thumbsticks. Eventually I'll do an LED mod and the 4 back paddle mods. But it's my first time so baby steps 😂
It’s a torx 9 bit! Idk why all these kits sell the size down. I bought a Kobalt 50 piece electronic precision repair tool kit for $32. I tried the torx 8 and it worked but with slack. The actual bit is the torx 9. Fits like a glove.
It's like metric tools. They fit but it's like they are shaved down that little bit or something.

Have a couple of sets of "Mod Sticks" .... A great kit for x and PS controllers. Able to move joy sticks much farther than other sticks. (thin center rod) They are (were)the BEST!
Bionik Quickshots are adjustable trigger stops with a lever, so that you don't have that destiny bike issue and they also have grips! 😉
that trigger stutter in destiny riding is a game issue not a stops issue. it does the same thing with an actual elite or any controller that has stops on them. i wish they'd fix it somehow but because it seems so menial they will probably never notice it
It's not voiding the warranty if you carefully peel the sticker off

The reason your bike in destiny doesnt go any where is because the triggers have an anolog input which means the more you push down the faster you go
If you want trigger grips I recommend the bionik trigger stopping grips
Put on a pair of Thumbstick rings on the front cover and they'll rock!
No one makes them for the one S controller 😪

*WARNING* do this at your own risk as these joysticks can cause drift.
For those who don’t own a torx security screw driver, just use a small flathead. Given the right size, it’ll fit behind the little post in the middle and between two points.
I´ve just purchased an elite controller in amazon (2 years warranty) and I love it , so I hope to have controller for a lot of time! The 4 paddles are the best invent, it changes all.
Really good work, but I really prefer the original elite if I have 2 years of warranty.

The warranty counts for nothing anyways. Has to be defective normal wear and tear and accordingly damage doesn't cover it anyways. The controller will give u more then 90 days
The strike pack is a mod pack too hold the left button and tap the right the eyes in the pack will turn green and there like rapid fire and other mods
Just take the paddles out, take the day 1 shell off and cut a slot where the switch is on elite and put it on. I did this and it works great

The new and cheaper version of this is the extreme rate back buttons which come with trigger stops and scuf like grips and the same thumb sticks he uses

I have a bionik quickshot trigger stopper and it works just like collective minds. I have the same paddle as he does and it works amazing
not sure I like the trigger stops I do like the extra grip

Good $70 Dollar Budget Elite costs: $20 for the sticks and D-Pad, $15 for the Grips, $35 for the Strike Pack. The new and improved "Almost Elite" for half the price.
You should try bionik quickshot they do the same thing but the only difference is that there is a off and on switch so you go back to the regular pull with the flip of a switch so no need to take them off

The LT button touchs the bored bu the left joystick and hence why we get issues.

Ehi there! I've seen many of your videos about the elite mod, and decided to buy a kit, but I noticed that the left analog magnet interfere with the left bottom trigger (I've seen many users have this kind of problem on Amazon reviews), how did you solved this problem?

Got the same problem. I believe the issue is the fact that these Chinese knock analog sticks, actually lack magnetic shielding tape that is found on the actual elite controller's analog sticks. Which prevent the stick from activating the left trigger.
Stick on the left was taken out of an elite XBO controller, the stick on the right is the Chinese knock off: postimg.cc/image/efzthonc7/
You can also mod your controller with the strike pack
Or you could buy the real one with upgraded internals and the ability to save presets and map any button

I did this with the same kit that he got and the thumb sticks are very rough on the top and feel like there is something sharp around the edge
nice my controller's hall effects sensor stopped fucking working after a few months, but your controller lasts 3-4 years
I only made it 8 mins in and i can't take anymore of the lips smacking every 5 seconds.

I get you don't like accidentally pressing buttons, I have this issue too but in all honestly would you save time and money if you got rid of the magnetic paddles on your elite controller and put on your striker pack with the two paddles on your elite controller. Now you got all your wants set?...Food for thought brah... just so you know I only realized this after watching your video...good luck
If I were to purchase a trigger grips set, I would have my trigger finger with the mod grip, with reg grip on aim trigger
Hi I got one of these kits off ebay I put it into my first gen xbox one controller not day 1 but the same one without the headset jack. I've noticed when I push up on the left analog it is triggering the lt button. when I took the analog off and put my original analog back in the issue goes away. can you reccomend a solution to fix this thanks or maybe you have this issue too?
I would not do the thumb stick on because the left thumb stick is to close to the trigger and u will always be aiming on because the magnet on the thumb stick goes to the left trigger

The trigger grips of the xbox one elite is compatible with the original controller?
I’ve read online that when running in games, the left stick will cause the left trigger to constantly give a output to the console.(ex constantly looking down scope when running). Have you had that problem?

yea there is no point in doing this because their is a controller for 30$ with paddels also 60$ for a controller then 36 dollars at that point u might as well buy a used elite controller on ebay for 100$ for the same price

I got the same problem with FIFA, the LT is auto pressed. I guess the magnetic field of the left thumpstick messes up the magnetic field of the LT since it uses magnetic field to know whether you press the button or not
Octavio Pong hi there yeah I moved the magnet on the trigger slightly higher in the clip, real easy fix works perfectly
how did you moved the magnet? I mean, there is a sort of slot, can you be more specific?
Claudes Tech when you open the back on the inside of the trigger there is a round magnet under a clip, this magnet is getting jiggy with the magnet in the analog sticks, all you need to do is move that magnet about 5mm up the clip as it's plenty strong to hold the magnet where it will be, put the controller back together and the issue is fixed because the magnets are far enough apart to not mess with each other, hope this helps
move it my putting a flat head screw driver in gap and push the magnet up 5mm

I bought a new xbox one s and got drift in the controller after a couple months. I upgraded to the xbox one X in July and this controller is even worse. The sad part is when I played Playstation i never had a issue with the controller and i played alot. Not looking at buying a controller every couple months. My switch back to Playstation for this reason
The Elite thumbpads look a little bigger than the regular ones. Are you still able to get the full range of motion with the sticks?

Yes take the magnets out the bottom of the joystick. That's what I did works perfect and better functioning.
