Just a tiny clarification though....there ARE a bunch of ABC stores, but they are concentrated mostly in the Waikiki and Ala Moana area where you stayed which us why it might seem like they outnumber 7-11's, but we do actually have more 7-11's overall. They are owned by Japanese. In my small neighborhood alone, we have 5. ABC's are also quite expensive because they are trying to catch the tourist dollar, so if you want to buy chocolate macadamia nuts, do not go to ABC. Better off going to Don Quijote near Ala Moana SC.
My mom grew up in Hawaii, when she took us to visit as kids we started calling the ABC stores All Blocks Covered. You can stand in one and see the next one from the door. It at least you could 15ish years ago.

There are hand crank chargers for your phone. They work great in emergencies. I have a Red Cross branded one that doubles as a flashlight. If you carry a purse or something, you might want to keep one in there.

The ABC stores are so awesome!! Best to go to the swap meet at the stadium for take home trinkets. Much less expensive than on Waikiki beach area! And super cool too! 🩷👍
ABC Stores are only in tourist spots like Waikiki. 7-11 is all over and is owned by 7-11 Japan, so the set up is almost like Japan when it comes to food.
It's funny how you said about being Asian and noticing the 20% off wrap. I'm disabled and chronically ill so have very little money which means I'm always noticing the discounted food options 😂. There is almost nothing wrong with it and you get to experience food that you otherwise would miss out on because of the original cost. Enjoy the rest of your trip!

Not sure if you knew but there's a Lawson's in the Sheraton Waikiki Hotel. Next time go and check that out then compare to what you usually see at the Lawson's in Japan.
You never travel with a dead phone. I travel with my charger and back up battery pack. Purchase a battery pack for cell if you can. Try to keep some cash on you too. I love Hawaii!! Safe travels and have fun!
You’ll only see ABC stores in Waikiki. It’s definitely not, the “Hawaii store” lol. If you liked the ABC chicken musubis, you gotta try foodlands chicken musubi. Also, 711 deluxe musubi is way better than ABC.
If your still in Hawaii go to the Shirokiya food court in the Ala Moana Shopping Center . They have a bunch of different places to choose from and they are all awesome.
I know! Before covid we used to go alot cause the beer garden deals. I dont think the could recover fully after covid. I think last week i found out they’re closing.
I love ABC stores sooo much!!! When I was there in 2002 they were on every single block. Now they look a little more spaced out. I miss the macadamia nuts!! 🥰
Aloha from Ewa Beach! As a local just a heads up. Be very careful when you’re out at night in Waikiki. There’s a lot of violent crime that goes on there. I wouldn’t go out at night there even if I was with other ppl. Sad but true. Stay safe
Hey Raina 😁 go to the Cheese burger in paradise restaurant in Lahina near the golf resort area in Maui. Im quite sure they would have some kind of challenge.
I love your videos but was sad to see you eating only at ABC stores when your title says 7-11. And the prices for those musubis and bentos were ridiculous 🤯. I’ll def stick to the west side where 🤞🏼 it’s cheaper. Waikiki can keep their tourist prices 😆 Can’t wait to see the rest of your Asia tour. Safe travels 🤙🏼

Raina, they sell those Maui onion chips in california also. They have them at smart and final and at marukai market.
