The advantage of DIY on things like plumbing is the professional guys rarely do more than eyeball drainage slopes and we do it right. If you know what to do, some people don't and I've seen nightmares done by guys who just thought they knew and didn't verify.

One question. Have you considered Adobe? I was rooting for the Aircrete, but I could see the failures. Is there an adobe adaptation that might work here?
We considered adapting the frame for rammed earth, adobe would work well too with the design. The issue we have with earth homes is the amount of labor required, but more than that is the difficulty in heating a thermal mass structure. We don't like being cold and would prefer something with more insulation.
