My dad was in the air force and when we moved ,which we did alot lol we would always listen to this late at nite in the car on the road. Usually Dad and I were the only ones awake. Great memories 😊
I was home, in my bedroom, in Los Angeles KNX 1070, I listened with my mother and sometimes grandmother, on my clock radio. Awesome memories! Which episode is your favorite? I like The Ghost Grey Bat.
My dad and I listened to this every time we went camping on a transistor radio. Dad's been gone 20 yrs, and I sure miss him. Such great memories listening to these great old radio shows again.
That is an excellent holiday story. Her parents set set up the little town and it quite possibly saved their lives. That would be a Christmas miracle. I was born 12-24-1958 🎁 🎄
Thank you so much for these programs. Aside from having to spray my cellphone with WD 40 for the squeaky doors in the beginning, these are so calming and enjoyable.
Back in the day in New Mexico, I would listen to Mystery Theater at 10pm. I was so scared after, but thank God that a ministry program came on soon after to ease my mind. It was in the 70's but this nightly ritual had a lasting impression on my psyche that I still recall the setting. Now & then I still listen to Mystery Theater, & a Ministry program after, of course 😅.
Nothing scared me more than I was forced to go to church during my childhood. I quit at age 9 and had to endure 6 more years of being forced to attend church. I was their worst nightmare. They gladly let me stop their indoctrination process.
Nice Story! I love it. Even now there is a place that I live in where a small village is set up during the Christmas season. I always wish I could walk into it.
I've heard this a few times and it's a great story and i love it and her parents are lovely!! This series is just brilliant in every single department!!! Ha ha i love the husband he's great!!
We listened to the old rebroadcasts on Sunday nights on the way home from the grandparents’ house. The neighbors thought we were nuts! Sometimes we’d just all sit in the car to hear the end of the story or (if there was a commercial break) we’d all go running into the house to the radio in the kitchen. lol. Great times!
This has become a Christmas classic for me since I found it a couple of years ago. It no longer holds the mystery of the first hearing, but its entertaining still.
At Timestamp 4:22 FACTUAL ERROR -- US Interstates ending with even numbers (i.e., I94, I72, etc) run East and West. Interstates with odd numbers run North and South. State and County highways follow a similar scheme. That being said, they couldn't drive "North on 84, looks like".
Hey everyone!! Ghost stories of anytime of the year are great. I think so. Anxiety gets us at times you know. A good Xmas for them all. Tysn💛 Catherine from Tucson AZ 12/13/23

Kudos to the wonderful cast for making it all so real.
Fantastic storey loved it
I've noticed so many movies, tv shows, and radio dramas mention Ohio more than almost any other state.
Loved it. Awesome ending.

It's so much fun to listen to these!
Wonderful story.
The Husband should've listened to his wife every time ‼️
I used to listen before bed on my boom box between '77-'82. Lived in LA and listened to Dr. Dimento, too.
Wow you would never see this ending coming !
I think I have an idea on whats happening here...but I'm not sure yet if I'm right lol. I kinda have 2 ideas on it actually 😂
Ok one of my ideas was right....😊😊😊 yayy
Excellent
Sort of reminds me of "Brigadoon".
Exactly why my Mom don't take Short Cuts 😮😅

Just in time for the holidays! 💕

Great twist ending!
Touching twist.

Oh, for a cell phone! It's hard to remember this life before mobile phones and GPS.
I'm #1000 liked. Listening 🎧 from Mesa Az 2:06pm 4/27/24
30:55 when reality kicks in. "Sorry, Joan, I had to slap you."
A fun story
Who was the old
Lady??
Será possível colocar o áudio em português nos vídeos ?
"I had to slap you." ??? I guess things were a bit different in 1980?
Nope. That would have gone one sixteenth of a second.
@@MegaLivingIt I'm afraid I don't understand your comment.
Don't you know somebody slaps somebody to stop the freaking out and panic if she/he is in such a state? Thought it's the fact everybody knew.
@@spongebobandplanktonshould2920 Well...maybe between men...but I don't think it was okay for a man to slap a woman.
@@beccacarrillo It's ok to ANY gender. You didn't know? It's usual practice.
