She's such a goddess in so many ways, amazing actress, funny, intelligent. Empowering to women in both her roles and in life, with being strong of character in standing up, along with breaking the mold and beauty standards and supporting body positivity. Seriously what a woman.😍
Nice to see a full bodied woman. I have a similar shape and struggle with a lot of insecurity, so it's reassuring that some find her pretty. I've never heard of her before this but will check out her show.

He's so charming. I don't think I've seen him have bad chemistry with any of the people he's interviewed. Even when he disagrees, he does it in a way thats civil, yet raw and humourous.

I thought about this and you're right. There's always an air of deception around the characters she plays. Just like some actors you see and know they're going to be the villain. :0D **laughs**

Dunno if this was on purpose, but it’s interesting to note she framed women as having a power to them, but then shows some vulnerability by stuttering a bit through the vulnerability part to sort of put anyone uncomfortable by that earlier statement at ease.
Maybe that’s just inferring part of her tv persona into her real life actions, but damn, a stacked woman knowing how to use her assets and language is a powerful one.

I haven't seen this show but it makes perfect sense that in today's society a show about women who live in the suburbs choosing to be criminals is considered to be empowering. Shows like this convey such a "powerful" message right? When life gets hard simply turn to crime instead of staying on the right path and being a law-abiding citizen.

I agree, childish and pathetic. I answered the door earlier today in leggings and my bra as I was gardening. Awww, that intent of rape scene is even hard to watch but I love that she actually got angry and protective of Mae in real life by seeing her in that position, it shows how of a good person she is and that she loves Mae very much.
She's not my most favorite Hendrix in the world, but considering her talent and the roles she plays, I should maybe check out her work.

I've yet to watch Mad Men or The Walking Dead. I'm not sure if I'll get pissed off at it like some saying it got stale or something like that. The only series I loved when I finished it, "took a step back to analyze it as a whole" would be "Six Feet Under". I finished OZ, they kinda pulled some sort of BS ending. I forget exactly what is was. I loved The Wire of course and Deadwood.

I remember first seeing her on ‘Firefly’. She was awesome.
So as an aro ace dude reading these comments, the only conclusion I can come to is that y'all are smoking some good fucking shit. This woman is supposed to constitute attractive? Really? Your tastes have gotta be pretty shallow if the only universally agreed upon thing a woman has to have going for her is her chest. I'm not saying she's ugly, because she's not, but... really, guys? Trevor acts awkward around female sex symbols...seemed like he was speaking a mile a minute so he wouldn't have to endure the tension of looking at her, LOL. Her new show sounds interesting, but in regards to Mad Men, they said that her character was a strong, empowered female? That's strange...how so? I watched for 3-4 seasons, and unless she drastically changed by the end of the series, I remember her role being the sexy, office siren...not too deep or strong. Peggy appeared to be the strong female character (at least in terms of her aspirations, knowing what she deserves and doing male-dominated work). In fact, I've never seen Christina play a strong, empowered female in anything, but I will look out for her show.
No Name Being sexy doesn't make you less strong or less feminist! Like most of the characters in mad men, she had many layers. She wasn't just one thing. She was considered and often was treated as a slut just because she was confident! Not only she managed to overcome that but she was a successful business woman in a time that it was really difficult. Also she was the best at her job and never got the recognition she deserved just because she was a woman! Strong doesn't mean being strict. Women can be sexy and feminine AND strong at the same time!
Being sexy doesn't mean a woman can't also be strong or hold/promote feminist ideas/concepts (BTW, I didn't say that), BUT being sexy ALSO doesn't necessitate a strong or feminist woman either. In my original comment, I asked WHY he called her roles specifically "strong women" because the CONTENT of her roles weren't specifically strong women...if anything, her character on Mad Men wasn't going against the grain in any way, shape or form, UNLESS something dramatically changed about her after season 3-4 that I missed? My understanding of Joan was that she represented the woman trying to appease/conform to male domination in the workplace, which was a hassle and a struggle for her and the women of the office, but she did it to have a better life. She was conforming, and overwhelmingly typical in character - not her fault (they should have made her character deeper than they did with a lot of the shallow, unlikable men of the office that I didn't care to know about), but let's not throw around the term "strong women" and water it down to include literally anyone doing anything. Being successful doesn't necessarily mean "strong". A lot of successful people get to where they are by doing what they're told, not putting up a fight and looking the other way when injustices happen.
