In the late 1980s, private security guard Louis van Schoor fatally shot dozens people in the South African city of East London. All of his victims were black. The youngest was just 12 years old.
It is a bloodbath that places Van Schoor among the most prolific killers in history. He was caught and arrested in 1991. But with many of his shootings signed off by local police as ‘justifiable homicides,’ he would receive a shockingly light sentence - serving only 12 years in jail. Decades have past, but the relatives of his victims have never found closure.
How many people did Van Schoor really kill? And who else was involved?
It's been thirty years since the white supremacist apartheid regime crumbled. The unresolved trauma of this time has cast a long shadow across a nation.
In piecing together the story of Van Schoor, this #BBCAfricaEye investigation exposes the disturbed past and racial injustices of South Africa itself.

🍳THE GOSPEL OF THE WORD OF ALMIGHTY GOD "the last age in which God is saving man from the imminent destruction of this old world"
(God is now condemn you, you are caught up and punished you, but you need to know the point of punishing the You are to know yourself. He will punish, judge, and to be able to get to know yourself, to change your disposition, and additionally, as you know your value, and see that all God's actions are right and according to His disposition and those It is necessary in his work, that he works according to His plan for human salvation, and that He is the righteous God who loves, who saves, judges, and destroying man. God has not come to kill or destroy, but to judge, swear, Kumastigo, and save. How can God save people,, it makes it all by separating them from their usual Satanic nature; That is, he saves them by encouraging them to seek life. If they do not do that, there is no way to receive God's salvation. The present is not like the past: The safety given to you today is happening during the last days, when each one is being excluded by type; The way your salvation is not love or compassion, but a disadvantage and judgment, so that man can be more secure. The righteous judgment is fastened to purify man, and the nonviolent refinery is done to cleanse them; The painful words or widespread people are doing to purify and for the sake of salvation. You have seen God incarnate and realize His eternal power and wisdom; In addition, you've experienced repeated fluid and discipline. Your blessings are more abundant than the glory and treasures that Solomon enjoys! Is not my righteous disposition to be able to fully obey the person? Is it not more capable of saving people?)
      Almighty God said
GOD is NOW CONDEMN you, you are caught up, and PUNISHES you, BUT you NEED to KNOW that the POINT of PUNISHING you is to KNOW YOURSELF. He PUNISHES, CONDEMNS, and is to be ABLE to IDENTIFY YOURSELF, to CHANGE your DISPOSITION, and ADDITIONALLY, as you KNOW your VALUE, and SEE that all ACTIONS of GOD are RIGHTEOUS and ACCORDING to His DISPOSITION and REQUIREMENTS of His WORK, that He WORKS In ACCORDANCE with His PLAN for HUMAN SALVATION, and that He is the RIGHTEOUS GOD who LOVES, SAVES, JUDGES, and DESTROYS man. ☀️
IF you ONLY KNOW that YOUR STATUS is LOW, that YOU are CORRUPT and DISOBEDIENT, BUT you do NOT KNOW that GOD WANTS to MAKE His RESCUE CLEAR through JUDGMENT and STRIFE that He is DOING to you TODAY, you have NO WAY to GAIN EXPERIENCE, you have NO ABILITY to CONTINUE to CONTINUE MOVE FORWARD. 🛑
GOD has NOT COME to KILL or DESTROY, BUT to JUDGE, SWEAR, CAUGHT UP, and SAVE. Until AFTER His 6,000-year-old MANAGEMENT PLAN - before He REVEALS the OUTCOME of EVERY CATEGORY of man --- GOD'S WORK on EARTH is for the RESCUE, its PURPOSE is to make PERFECT --- thoroughly - those who LOVE Him and SUBJECT them in His AUTHORITY. ☀️
HOW can GOD SAVE people, MAKING it all by SEPARATING them from their USUAL SATANIC NATURE; That is, He SAVES them by ENCOURAGING them to SEEK LIFE. IF they do NOT do that, there is NO WAY to RECEIVE GOD'S SALVATION. The RESCUE is the WORK of GOD HIMSELF, and the DESIRE of LIFE is something that man has to do to RECEIVE SALVATION. In the EYES of MAN, SALVATION is GOD'S LOVE, and the LOVE of GOD can NOT be a DISADVANTAGE, JUDGMENT, and CURSES; The RESCUE must be ACCOMPANIED by LOVE, COMPASSION, and in ADDITION, with the WORDS of COMFORT, as well as the ETERNAL BLESSINGS GOD has GRANTED.
People BELIEVE that when GOD SAVES MAN, He does it by DESPISING them with His BLESSINGS and GRACE, so that they can GIVE their HEART to GOD. That is, His war on man will save Him. This type of rescue is done by reconciliation. When God has given them a hundred times, then the person will submit to the name of God and will try to do good for him and bring Him glory. ☀️
This is NOT the PURPOSE of GOD for HUMANITY. GOD has COME to WORK on EARTH to SAVE the CORRUPT MANKIND; There is NO LIE HERE. If so, He CERTAINLY did NOT COME to do His work in person. Previously, His way of rescue included a manifestation of the ultimate love, so he gave everything to Satan in exchange for all mankind. The PRESENT is NOT LIKE the PAST: SALVATION GRANTED to you TODAY is HAPPENING during the LAST DAYS, when EACH ONE is EXCLUDED by TYPE; The way your SALVATION is NOT LOVE or COMPASSION, BUT a DISADVANTAGE and JUDGMENT, so that MAN can be more SECURE. 🛑🙏
Thus, you just receive is a disadvantage, judgment, and miraculous strip, but you should know it: in the heartfelt beating without a punishment. NO MATTER how BRUTAL My WORDS are, the ONE who COMES to YOU is ONLY a FEW WORDS that can LOOK TOTALLY HEARTLESS to you, and NO MATTER how MAD My ANGER, the ONE who COMES to you are STILL WORDS of TEACHING, and I do NOT INTEND to HURT you or KILL you. Is not this all true? ☀️
You SHOULD KNOW that at this TIME, RIGHTEOUS JUDGMENT or NONVIOLENT REFINEMENT and REPROACH, all is for the SAKE of SALVATION. MAN now SORT EACH other ACCORDING to TYPE or EXPOSING HUMAN CATEGORIES, the PURPOSE of ALL the WORDS and WORK of GOD is to SAVE those WHO TRULY LOVE GOD. 🙏
The RIGHTEOUS JUDGMENT is FASTENED to PURIFY man, and the NONVIOLENT REFINERY is DONE to CLEANSE them; The PAINFUL WORDS or WIDESPREAD people are doing to PURIFY and for the SAKE of SALVATION. Thus, the PROCEDURE of RESCUE TODAY is NOT like the day. NOW, you are SAVED by RIGHTEOUS JUDGMENT, and this is a GOOD TOOL to EXCLUDE EACH of YOU ACCORDING to KIND. In ADDITION, CRUEL STRIFE SERVES as your ULTIMATE SALVATION --- and what YOU can SAY in the FACE of such a DISOBEDIENCE and JUDGMENT? Do not you always enjoy the rescue, from beginning to end?
You have SEEN GOD INCARNATE and REALIZE His ETERNAL POWER and WISDOM; In ADDITION, you've EXPERIENCED REPEATED FLUID and DISCIPLINE. However, did not you also receive the greatest grace? Are not your blessings more than anything else?
Your BLESSINGS are MORE ABUNDANT than the GLORY and TREASURES that SOLOMON enjoys! Think of it: If My PURPOSE is to JUDGE and PUNISH you INSTEAD of SAVING you, thou shalt have your LIFE? Is it still possible until you have sinful creatures and blood creatures? If My GOAL is to PUNISH you, WHY am I INCARNATE and STARTED such a GREAT PROJECT? Do not you mortal may be punished by just one word? Do I still need to destroy you after you have just judged? Do not you still believe in my words? Can I save the person by just love and compassion? ☀️
Or can I use only crucifixion to save man? Is not My righteous disposition more pleasant to be able to be fully obedient? Is it not more CAPABLE of SAVING the PERSON?
From "You must Set aside the Blessings of the Status and Understand God's will to Deliver Human Salvation". Holy book
      Fulfillment in (Ezekiel 2: 9-10). ... (Rev. 19: 9).
📥Calling and leading everyone to His lowered Kingdom or Church because it is still standing on earth in the holy place in the air/ youtube "THE CHURCH OF ALMIGHTY GOD 💐 this is the fulfillment of what He said to Peter 2,000 years ago, recorded in (Matthew 16:18'19).

Amazing that the BBC don't mention who caught this killer... The APARTHEID POLICE!
Also amazing the BBC had to go an dig for a story from 30 years ago when today in 2024 we have far more murders, unsolved cases and probably MUCH bigger stories now than during Apartheid. Maybe that's the reason the BBC did a story as the current mess of the post-Apartheid 1994 "new" South Africa murder and rape capital is far more EMBARRASSING. And easier for quasi-journalists to find old stories, than to investigate new ones.

I'm sorry. But there was a generation brain washed to believe that they are a supreme race compared to other races and anything inhumane can be done to them and its OK cause the brainwashed society says they can and get away with it. The most sad part is that even some black people participated in it just for appraisal and some measly money. It'd not just south Africa but many parts of the world. Like in India where a cast system justifies your social status in the society. Where the lower cast are treated so so poorly and inhumane in some rural area's, it just makes me wonder where all this start.
And it all started at the very beginning of human race.
And people thought of ways and measures how to control and have power over one other. Especially power over people whom they don't like and many other traits.
Let's talk abt today, what's happening in Arab peninsula, what white supremacy dominating the world decided to publicly invade a free country and put Jews there and when Jews rebel, the white left. Left them to do all kind of atrocities, inhumane torture mass killings with the help of USA, while saying its not correct and slap Israelis hand, just like Tom and Jerry cartoon. But this is not cartoon we are talking about but real human beings. This topic may hit a nerve with some people.
Than let's talk what's happening in south American countries. Why can't they work for a better future and bring there state to be as rich as north America. But if that happens USA can't get cheap labour, as they are in war with other cheap labour countries such as China, cheap import of agricultural goods will come to a stop, where can USA test there war weapons and weapons of mass destruction other than Arab countries and strategically destroyed countries like Afghanistan and Pakistan by white supremacy countries like England, USA, France.
I can keep goin on and on. I'm sorry.

Holy book

Holy book

I am South African and van Schoor is a sick product of a dysfunctional childhood and Apartheid society. I grew up during Apartheid and I realised that we all have a choice ie to love or to hate. I had never heard of this supposed human until today. I live in a mixed area where there's racial tension. They see themselves as white superior beings and now we have black people doing exactly the same thing. I have been in education for decades and I have had to leave teaching for health reasons. I was bullied in the workplace. This is most upsetting. I understand that there are cultural differences however we must try our utmost to live in harmony.

Take what the BBC shows us with a pinch of salt. There are always three sides to every story. And I only seen two sides Van Schoor and the interviewees - the truth is what is missing. Most of the documentary was on how bad Van Schoor was but not what was happening during apartheid. I get that it is about the "Apartheid Killer" but it is not showing reconciliation or a way forward but just opening up old wounds.

    • @Mathilda5xp

@mrbrown3748. Yes, that is the truth! However, South Africa's history should be rewritten from what happened when the British, Afrikaners and the ANC Governments were in power, and the reconciliation that took place because it created a lot of hatred, violence and murders -Farm murders is a good example.
Van Schoor needs salvation big time! He is not remorseful.
I met a retired policeman in Cape town, who couldn't stop crying, during a reconciliation service that was held after the Apartheid era. He told me that he shot and killed a 10year old boy who threw stones at the cops. I remembered that terrible incident, as I was walking home from college when I saw what happened. He pleaded with God to forgive him for what he did to that child. I prayed for him, but he could not stop crying and could not forgive himself for what he did to a mere child.

Do you think that Israelis would have allowed SS-perpetrators to quietly and peacefully exist in their midst after 1945?
Being of Black South African ancestry myself, I sometime think that our people tend to be too docile and apathetic when it comes to ensuring that justice takes its cause. You won't gain any respect from anyone by simply allowing those who hurt you to enjoy impunity, especially not from the perpetrators themselves.

If the new government after apartheid didn't have a peaceful transition, it would definitely have been a civil war which would have been alot of bloodshed on both sides and I think that's what Mandela and co. were trying to prevent.

Most of the SS who perpetrated atrocities were never brought to justice, so you can't compare. You're not comparing apples with apples here.

Sure, many escaped justice, but hundreds, if not thousands were sentenced to capital punishment.
Comparing torturers and killers who committed atrocities on behalf of the Nazi Regime to those who committed the same acts on behalf of the National Party Regime (which, not by coincidence, was heavily inspured by the former) is not apples and organges, it's an apples and apples comparison!
If you consider how many South Africans died due to HIV, which in all likelihood was deliberately spread by the likes of Project Coast for "population control" purposes, I cannot see a stark difference in the scale of both atrocities.

@@esahm373 No it's not. MILLIONS died during WW2, millions have not died in S.A as a result of conflict; they are vastly different. One was a WORLD WAR, the other an oppressive regime that lasted 46 years. At no point did millions of South African die up until and including 1994, simply a fact (including during the Border war). Blaming the Nationalist party for the spread of AIDS is fanciful at best, there is no proof that their Project Coast contributed to the spread of AIDS in South Africa at the rate that it did. That is a question of morality more than anything else.

    • @EFF2UnionBuilding
      @EFF2UnionBuilding 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

Good question. Mandela compromised a lot and as you can see we are suffering as a consequence. We have now another compromised government which means the British land act imposed to Black South Africans in 1910 will never be resolved. It means the apartheid land grabbing and forced removals in 1945 and beyond will never be resolved. In fact, apartheid perpetrators refused to appear during the Truth and Reconciliation and those who did asked to be compensated with money for it. It’s not true that white people wanted equality to Africans, in the first election after independence, the National Party was voted by almost 4million votes. That trend continues today with white majority votes going to democratic alliance. Apartheid didn’t end, it was just disturbed but the western cape will show you the divisions are still alive today.

Very interesting story, but I feel like so much has been missed. Over 40 people were shot dead, but we only follow one person-whose son can remember so much about his father, even though he was just 6 years old at the time. Why was Mr. Soenies shot? Where is his case file? Is it also lost? And the short story with Joe… okay, he was tortured by the police-why? Did they just yank him off the streets because he is Black? And this white lady investigator… who is she, and what are her qualifications? It’s all well and good that she goes over police documents and says it doesn’t look right to her, but based on what? Even her confrontation with Louis was poor; she wanted to show him he couldnt feel safe with her just because she is white… great, but she did nothing. Why not have Mr. Soenies’ son speak with him? Now, on to Louis’ daughter: when did she arrange for her mother to be killed? What does Louis have to say about that? This is never explored. This could easily have been made into a series with all the material available, but it’s cut into a simple hour-long video that doesn’t really explore anything. I hope this can be revisited while all the parties are still alive. The video doesn’t scratch the surface. Well i hope this story gets more attention and some Netflix directors or something picks it up.

Capitalism is why; racism is and was the psychology of capitalism. It was capitalism that informed slavery, imperialism, colonisation, apartheid & racism. White supremacy existed as a justification for greed, the need to own and control the world so true development and wealth could be an experience reserved for Whites. We are the backs on which the prosperity of Europeans depended. And so, to animalise us was necessary so we could psychologically be understood simply as tools of labour like horses, donkeys or cattle.
