I think that if Ranked Mode ever came, it should include the Extreme variants of maps in the highest rank types' rotations (so maybe a couple in middle, half of them in middle-higher and all of them in Higher) due to the competitive and high-skill nature of Ranked.
Ooh good idea, seeing Xtreme variants pop up in ranked would be cool
@@Izzytorium yeah and that way it allows some of the slowest players to still be able to qualify in rounds as people that are too reckless get themselves eliminated.
It would probably be good if Ranked had less max players, maybe around 30 min and 40 max as then there should be enough for a match when you play and so that the rounds are more focused on the competitiveness of the players rather than the utter chaos that round 1 of solos can be
personally i like sbmm, because being put up against people who have hundreds or thousands of hours of experience is not fun - you know theyre gonna win. i play with my friends and family just for a bit of fun and none of us are professionals, which is why i watch your channel in the first place to help me learn 🙂 thanks for the video
Thankfully it's only in solo's, always wondered why they didn't put it in duo's or Squads and its probably cause they know people play with there friends to relax and unwind, plus wouldn't be surprised if they tried to but it was too difficult to implement in time. Also glad to hear you enjoyed the video.
@@Izzytorium it's because a high tier player can play with a low tier player for example a player with over 2000 crowns can play with his irl friend who just started the game ( 0 crowns ) it is possible to count a team's crown avrege but in that case the low tier player will be served with mid to high tier players which will make low tier players leave the game or playing with their friends
This is exactly the reason SBMM is trash. For people who are too good for mid tier but not like pro players the game is unplayable. It's literally impossible to get any further than round 2. So you play 10 games where you lose in round 2 then you get like 2 mid tier games where you just walk through easily and then again you get an impossible challenge.

As sweaty as the solo lobbies are and such, if they keep every other mode without sbmm I would be mostly fine. In my personal opinion I think the bad round variety is the worst problem in the game. I really hope mediatonic fixes or atleast tweaks these issues in the next season, great video!

I feel like making a Ranked mode and a Normal Mode would've been great. In Ranked mode you would've face off better players, but get double the rewards and in Normal you would've go up against lower level players, but get less rewards. Except for that I don't really have an idea on how to fix SBMM. Maybe also add Practice so you can practice maps that you struggle with and get better at them, with no players around.
Practice mode would just let the sweats get better, most players wouldn't use it all that much. I do see people making practice maps in the upcoming map maker though. Would solo show not give out crowns as a reward and only shards? Wonder how that would work, could see ranked giving out 2 crowns and even Kudos but maybe they'll do something entirely different.

If I try my hardest (and yes I did have a sweaty fall guys phase) I find myself with the absolute sweatiest players possible but when I play casually and don't care about qualifying to much, I end up with trashy players after like a week. Nowadays I just mess around and qualifying is just a side objective. So right now, I'm probably in the lowest or medium bucket, but if I want to play with skilled players, I just go sweaty mode for a few days and then I get promoted to the high bucket.
Nowadays I don't play the core modes as much (core modes are solo's, squads & duos) I'll usually play the creator made rounds or the LTM if it's something I enjoy. But once in a while I'll get the itch to play Solo's!

That's a huge problem with games that have SBMM in general, the skill score system is ripe for exploiting, another thing is you probably climbed up to the high bucket/tier, we don't know which of the two happened cause the game doesn't let us see our skill score or much of anything that is useful.

SBMM has nothing to do with the crown rank. It's more about qualifying in the rounds. If you get to the finals very often, you are in a higher tier. I was in lobbies with only 40 people very soon and thought, that nobody would play FG anymore, but then I found out it was because of the tier. Crowns don't matter for this game, not for buying costumes in the store and also not for ranking. (If you don't qualify on the first round a few times, you get to a lower tier. But of course after qualifying there a few times you are in the highest tier again.)
I have like 249 crowns and i faced a golden knight that tried to grief me (and a paladin and incognito guy) and trust me, I HATED IT.

I totally agree, SBMM should be improved, not removed. I mean, I liked beating a marblellous in fall mountain, but they shouldn't have been in my lobby in the first place 😅
Fall Mountain and Lost Temple are made to give players a chance to beat everyone regardless of there rank, and while I someone who is rank 39 may hate losing on it, its just the the cookie crumbles sometimes.

they get you to pay for skins and do less to change up the matchmaking, its all about predetermined games and keeping you at a certain rank!

The thing about skill based matchmaking is it should work but I shouldn’t have to go against golden knights while not even having a piece of the golden witch
Players can just lose on round 1 and fall into the lower brackets, which enables them to pubstomp newbie players, another thing is how easy it kinda is to climb up the tiers, you don't need much skill score to go from newbie to medium only like 60 points? Which while we don't know how many points you get it if you win I would assume it would take you like 10 or so wins to go to the next bracket/tier
I like SBMM. I want to feel like I beat people and it was hard to win. I wish it was in squads and duos, too. I love playing squads because it's awesome to get a good squad that works together for a win. The problem for me is only about a third of the time do I get matched with people who play like me and the rest of the time I get matched with people who are not playing like me and it goes no where. It is so awesome when it does work out and we, 4 complete strangers who are not talking to each other, intuitively work together and win! Thanks for the video and the links!
I think the reason SBMM isn't in Squads and duo's is probably cause they know people play it with there friends very casually so they just didn't bother putting SBMM in it, or they did try and it would've broken the modes, at lest that's my theory anyways.
Same for me, in squad games it is rare to get players that are as equally matched, but when you do and you "click" it makes for a great game.

Will the sad thing is since I get bots for teammates on duos and squads like 90 percent of the time I quitted squads and duos and for solo show I get bot lobbies or tryhard lobbies one time I got lucky and beat a golden wolf in solo show
Yeah I see a lot more newbies in Squads and Duos, probably cause it doesn't have SBMM so kinda makes sense. I still remember when I beat a golden knight in Hex A Gone when the S1 FFA came out, I think I had the golden chicken lower but still a great moment indeed.

I do believe it does as well, would adding more tiers alleviate the issue? a ranked mode separates from solo? we'll have to see what mediatonic does.
SBMM isn't that bad for me I actually prefer it to stay, as I don't have that many crowns and I don't get into lobbies that have really sweaty players. I just want Mediatonic to fix this issue and make it work properly. It is broken as I am able to pair into lobbies with golden knights and wolfs and I only have about 254 crowns.
I haven't played in a while but, when I was consistently playing a few months ago, I was consistently encountering all kinds of golden skins, and I have 221 crowns
Skill Score really helps in this, they either lost games on purpose and fell into your bucket (middle or newbie), or you've been winning games and got into the high bucket. They made it much easier to climb up the tiers with an update they did on October 10th.
I agree. At the beginning I was completely against SBMM, then I understood the problems with newer or not so good players and now I think it just needs to be changed/adjusted.
Yes, you don't need wins in Solo to get crowns. I got most of my crowns with squads and crownshards from challenges. BUT for certain events with a full costume as reward you need a solo-win. This has nothing to do with skill. It's pure luck to get into a not so sweaty lobby, because everyone wants this skin (understandably). When the Idol Games were on, one challenge was to win the Hexathlon. It took me hours and it even wasn't skill based! How much time do I have to spend for events, which only last a few days?! (Of course my personal skill level is higher now, but I'm still not sure if I can ever win solos again...)
I don't know, whether adding more tiers would be a good idea. You already have to wait long enough for a lobby. I would rather remove on tier. One tier for newbies and people with lower skill and one tier for skilled players. Also if solos isn't so frustrating anymore, people will maybe play a little bit calmer. Now everyone is thinking, that they have to give their best, because it takes so much time requeuing for a new game and losing in finals doesn't give you anything special. So it was all for nothing.
Or they could add a special solo show, which is only available for players with a lower skill level. (So SBMM only runs in the background.)
Also do the lower skilled players even play solos that often? The amount of helmet boys in squads is huge! So they decide to play with all possible maps (Slime Scraper!). Why do they need this kind of protection from higher skilled players or difficult maps, if they don't even play there? (More like a rhetorical question, because of course they should have and need a place to learn and try the game on their own.) Don't get me wrong, I love bringing the team to the next round and it is definitely possible to carry one bad player (maybe even two depending on the whole team). I'm happy to see them qualifying, if I see them struggle. I'm happy, if we won and they have their rookie tag and are probably very happy about the win, too. But why are duos and squads sometimes full of helmet boys (or the newer version tutu boys), if solos for them is so much easier? (And they clearly don't play there, because sometimes those players don't know the way of the maps or the mechanics.)
The part with the higher ping got me. I played Pegwin Pool Party with a high ping once and it was horrible. XD
I'm interested of the other perspective. How was it for the newer players before SBMM? Was it really an issue to have one tier? Did they leave the game because of that? Did they only play the other shows instead, because solo was too hard? Or did they become better and had fun like everyone else? I'd like to know.
I think newbies play Squads and hope there teammates will carry them, in most games its easier to carry a noob, but in this game since its points based if you play bad you're team will really feel it. I didn't think about LTM's needing solo wins, they could change that to any solo show win like in certain challenges you get but a good point nontheless.
New players don't need any protection. SBMM shouldn't be reworked, it should just be removed and never talked about again.
For context: I played the game before there was SBMM. When I started playing, it took me a while before I qualified from the first round. Then it took me a while before I qualified from the 2nd and so on. As I got better in the game i progressed further. It was a nice feeling to see yourself become a better player and survive longer and longer. And always losing in round 1 as a new player wasn't frustratimg because all maps were new anyways. As a new player, a lack of variety in Maps isn't really a problem, actually it's a good thing. New players don't need free wins. They will never feel the great feeling of winning the first game because for them it's super easy, barely an inconvenience.
Moreover, without SBMM everyone can win. There is a lot of luck involved in the game and it's definitely possible to win a game with like 2 or 3 pro players since they can also get unlucky. What's not possible however is to win a game with 30 pro players. If you're in the low skill range of a tier, you will lose every time.
Skill based matchmaking makes it so you can't progress in the game, you can't experience the feeling of improving. Before sbmm, you could see yourself improving because you survived longer and longer. Now as soon as you improve you get thrown in a way stronger lobby where you lose immediately

Yes, improving in a game feels good and maybe it feels even greater, if you couldn't qualify at all first. But you can also improve with SBMM. (I'm not defending SBMM at its current state.) I got my first win and I felt great, but I also didn't know, that SBMM was a thing. When I found out, I was excited to see new maps, which meant a higher tier. So it's still possible.
If it's only an unfounded fear of Mediatonic and Epic Games, that new players could leave the game immediately, then SBMM can be removed completely. If the vast majority is fine with the state before SBMM, then they are the ones to listen. That's why I asked for experiences. However I'm not sure, whether this is a generational thing or not. I'm a 90's kid and games were very hard, so playing them over and over again was totally normal. Not finishing them, too. I don't know about the kids today. Today's games are different. There are tutorials everywhere and everything can be made easier in the options etc. Also seeing adult people throwing their equipment around makes me think, that I'm the exception. Removing SBMM doesn't help, if that is the case and it needs to be changed instead. Having only one beginner tier and one tier with all the others would be better. Having a solo show only available for beginners doesn't hurt anyone.
But I get the point and agree, that it's frustrating NOW. I don't know, how the players can be hold to the game, when they don't win anymore at all or the rewards are not good enough (like one win/crown after playing hours). I don't think it's a seroius interest only having new players. There should be a constant playerbase and Mediatonic should definitely think about that.
@@Phryzzle certain levels are limited to rounds in the game. Many levels don't happen in rounds 1 and 2. So, reaching round 3 for the first time can also be a nice experience as you "unlock" new levels. An idea would be for the game to make players aware of it. For example, they can add a screen after reaching a certain round for the first time which says "congrats, by reaching the round you unlocked those levels"
Before sbmm noone complained about the lack of it. Maybe a tutorial phase is an idea that's worth pursuing. That wouldn't really be sbmm, since it doesn't look at skill, it just looks at games played. You could make it that the first 10 or 20 games aren't competitive, ie there can be multiple winners. You'd just have to finish races and hunts before a timer runs out and survive the survivals and there is no limit. And then everyone who survives the final wins. But it shouldn't count as like a crown or something because that would take away the excitement of the first "competitive win". And then after like 10 or 20 games you could unlock "competitive mode". Now that i think about it, i think such a casual mode like described above would be interesting for other players as well! I mean they kinda experimented with it already, with the Ski Fall mode

You know how they can fix that… make it so that newbie player in their own lobbies and anyone else they got their bucket without the newbies… like when a players plays his first 100 games he gets in a “newbie” bucket but after 100 games they get into the normal game with Pros and the casuals
Interesting, so newbies probably people with low crown rank or who just installed the game would be in lobbies with newbies for 100 games or so then after they get into games with casuals and pros? just making sure we are on the same page. I think 100 might be too much cause once they get out of "newbie land" and are greeted by actual competent players they might not win for a while.

Your crowns don't matter, it's your skill score that does, if you're in middle and high bucket games will start with 40 players.
I don’t know how I feel about SBMM. Usually, I can do just fine on solo show when I’m not trying to win. When I just play solo for quests I win a lot, but when I play solo for , let’s say, the hexathon event, I get matched with a bunch of grabbers and the game becomes dreadful to play. I don’t know if I throw because my heart races super fast or if the game puts me against a bunch of sweats but that’s what it feels like.
I used to avoid solo's like the plague but I recently tried to play it and I've been kinda wins almost consistently on it, I will lose of course but I don't mind playing it now.

I think the community gotta to realize that new players and causal players would stop playing if sbmm is removed. I've seen people complain about good players in fall guys on youtube vids that were outside the fall guys fanbase and that's with sbmm on so imagine if they played againat pros without sbmm
Most of the playerbase in this game is newbies, they just aren't vocal or even on social media but the diehards are, so we hear them a lot. SBMM was added for a reason, though it could use some adjusting and tweaking but removing it in the long term will be devastating, at lest that's what I think anyways.

I always watch your video's first for the new trick but you were correct about sbmm also i would like to say that pc players are less comparative to PS player's it would be great if PC player's got to know about cross platform off ... because not all people knows about it....even i think to play solo when my cross platform is off but it never worked for me ...i think it would be great and fun with this difference 😃😃
Game has xbox and switch players too now, game would struggle to find matches if they were limited to just there ports, most would just turn it back on but I do remember a brief time where crossplay wasn't a thing that felt like a lifetime ago. Also appreciate the support Verma thank you
How do we know if we’re a mid tier or pro tier or Nooby tier?
Bots are a good way to tell, I mention it in the video. If you play on PC you can tell if you have bots if you see the PC icon next to their name, otherwise you'll have to spectate them and see their banners and nicknames, they usually have unreleased stuff equipped.

Yup, as of November 2022, newbie bucket has 20 bots, medium has 10 and high bucket or high tier has 0 bots.

I always thought if you were in high tier/bucket it would give you 40 players, but it also does in medium tier.
U can still 360 dive on kbm, but its just harder and etc
Spin diving is possible on kbm? That's just nuts. Do you need 150 FPS for it cause I have 60 FPS and can't do it.
@@Izzytorium ig u need atleast 200 for it to be possible, idk correctly, but if u want to do it like Kerem or something like that, 300 fps is prob the better option, but its harder to do it on kbm, bc u need camera and to press WASD like how u would move your joystick

Honestly dude, I wish I had the solution I just don't, though adding a tier between low and medium and medium high would be something I would try and experiment with and see how that works out.

Personally not to fond of the idea of a ranked mode, would split the playerbase, plus it would ruin the casual feel the game is going for, even though you could argue having SBMM in only solo show ruins that.
@@Izzytorium I feel like the casual feel of the game is long dead with the lobby. I'm getting. I feel that people like me are interested in a ranked mode, so we can continue to improve the game without ruining people's fun in a party game.
That's debatable, but I know what you mean, in certain LTM's you'll only see high rankers who want to grind crowns, you'll see the casual crowd in squads and duo's because I swear every time, I want to play those modes I only get paired up with people who got the game an hour ago and expect to be carried.

Honestly i think sbm should be in duos and squads instead of solos, cuz those are gamemode where most of the times you have to rely on them not being a spiky wristband helmet boy who has their name and their year of birth in their username, instead of solos where just YOU have to play well
Funny, I wondered why MT didn't put SBMM in squads or Duo's it's the shows that need it the most, but maybe they wanted to make it so the modes remain casual since people play with their friends most of the time, plus calculating 4 or 2 people's skill score which could be way different and trying to find lobbies that aren't lopsided would've been a challenge so they probably decided to do it for solo's since it's only 1 guys skill score you have to take in account to vs 4

Honestly I want the old main show back, team games and all rounds included. I just miss the variety and challenge that makes fg fun
I personally do not miss team games being in main show at all, solo's was the best thing they did in a while. I miss all the maps and its variants though, this limited round pool shows how dependent the game is on its maps and variants to keep things from going sideways.

My solution is to play on a Australia server with cross-platform matchmaking(i'm playing on ps5 with a controller which is way easier than playing with a keyboard imo) and that makes game more unpredictable and fun
I remember the Australian servers being pretty dead back in the day like before the game went free to play 🤣 Didn't think of trying it now, very interesting!

What skin you have doesn't matter, it's your Skill Score that determines what SBMM bucket you'll fall into. When I made this video there was only 3 brackets, now there's 4, the new one being a new tier for first time players. FTUE stands for first time user experience. I copy pasted the minimum score you need to be in a bucket and the maximum score.
mm_bucket_elo_ftue: Minimum is 0. Maximum is 1102
mm_bucket_elo_lowest: Minimum is 1103. Maximum is 1171
mm_bucket_elo_mid: Minimum is 1172. Maximum is 1223
mm_bucket_elo_high: Minimum is 1224. Maximum is 9999

Ranked mode is a popular suggestion, so that would have SBMM and the other modes wouldn't have SBMM, though ranked would need better rewards, I could see them adding ranked challenges, and you get full skins!
I'd login every dya to play some Main Shows, always the go to mode if any other show didn't interest me, it kept me playing and grinding.
Now with SBMM (which needs a MASSIVE rework) i just don't bother to even touch solo show, its such a disgusting and boring place, and since Fall Guys has a bit of rng, sometimes its not even your fault for messing up once.
So sometimes i just don't play if other shows are also bad
I usually avoid solo's but decided to try it out cause of some challenges I had and was getting so many wins, would lose of course but mostly get Wins, been enjoying solo's so I play that for a while but getting the same maps over and over is making it boring haven't gotten a finale other then hex a Gone.

Does 86 crowns and around 700 qualified rounds count as med bucket
Your skill score is what determines what bucket you get placed it, so it doesn't matter what your crowns are, and that only gets tracked in Solo Show.

I didnt play solo show in a week i am really focused on farming in other shows like hex a gravity or
blast ball bangers but in my last experience i was painful the process to win a crown
For me, I've been getting wins quite easily in Solo show, I was surprised cause I thought it would really difficult, all the finales was Hex a Gone, maybe I've gotten decent at hex a Gone idk.

I think people that haven't won a solo game yet should only have easy maps, but after you've won 1 or maybe even 3 games you unlock the rest of the maps + NO buckets should have even a single bot

I can agree SBMM to be removed, like when i won 2 in a row, the Gold Banners start to a appear to my games. It makes the game more BORING to play.
I disagree, it's need to be tweaked and adjusted but for 99% of the playerbase it makes it so they have fun and not get destroyed every game.
I get slime scrapper 50% of the time so that means it is able for intermediate and pro players (cause I’m trash) or it’s glitched.

Getting flashbacks to little timmies who couldn't cross the finish line on cosmic highway. Wouldn't be surprised if they tried to but found it to be difficult to do so, or they just decided that people queue up with other people in a party and decided to let that be a casual experience, this is just my theory.
What counts as a loss though? Is this being Eliminated first round, or is anything but the win?
Don't know, I would have to guess it counts as a loss in general, wouldn't be surprised if the game sees you lose on the first round and lowers your skill score even more

I think SBMM is the reason why free to play players are getting crowns faster than us paid players did when we started
I thought it was just me that saw F2P players were getting crowns hella fast, that's one nice thing about SBMM I suppose.
I consider myself a great player, the game is easy. But there is no way i could compete with someone playing like that on the slime scrapper if that person can do that reliably. I have never......never seen anyone playing like that and i play daily since season 1 (not free, the original 1)
Slimescraper hasn't been in the game since March 7th, 2023 so I doubt id be as good as I was in the video. I just grinded slimescraper whenever slimescraper time showed up and have played like over 800 games of it cause I love it that much. I remember when slimescraper was a guaranteed finale in slimescraper time, one mess up and you're done for, good times. I miss it so much.
@@Izzytorium There is one thing in the game that i find really odd is that i can win over and over again no problem, its easy, but whenever a new season comes up, in the first day suddenly everyone becomes pro and maps like big fans can eliminate you for the smallest mistake.
Usually the beginning of a season is where a lot people will be on the game, so chances of winning constantly drops a little but as the season progresses it gets easier as their aren't as many people playing.

If your playing solo's SBMM could be kicking in, but yeah some days I get the super sweats who know the routes and never mess up and then I'll get 6 year olds who never held a controller in their entire life, this game is the only one I know to have this effect, though I don't play other Multiplayer type games too often so I could be wrong lol.
There should not be door dash, blast ball, fall mountain, lost temple, perfect match, stomping ground, sum fruit, big shots for the highest mmr players. These rounds are either too easy (perfect match, etc) and nobody is eliminated, or too random. Imagine waiting for the lobby to finally fill, then sweat and get blast ball as the finale. Also, the highest mmr main show must fairly reward those reckless but courageous beans who dare to play this mode. 2 crowns would be way more fair than 1. But reward system is a core issue. 35 shards for 7 rounds in duos (3 of them are team games) is just ungrateful.
High bucket shouldn't have maps removed, that's the whole point of getting to it so you can play all the available maps, limiting round pool has basically killed the hype people have for this game, since the game doesn't have better rewards that's the real incentive. I do agree on the rounds in duos and squads being wayy to much, 4 to 5 is ideal.
I want sbmm separate mode, solo show should be separated from sbmm. I want the air jump to return too. Cos I like finding golden knights or whatever.

Maybe I should've said in the video but your crown count doesn't matter when it comes to what tier you get placed it, your skill score decides that. They made it easier to climb the tiers but also made it easy to fall down a Tier as well. You just gotta keep winning in order to get to medium and high tier!
I think SBMM is good, it would be annoying for Low and Mid players to get matchmaked with High players that use advanced strategies.
I'm okay with its inclusion, it just needs some tweaks, the main problem being people who can exploit the system and lose games on purpose to get to low tier lobbies just so that they can pub stomp newbies.

To answer your question, we currently have no idea, in other games if I recall correctly, it basis it off the person with the lowest MMR so if you have high MMR and your friend has low MMR it'll put you in lobbies with other low MMR players. I assume it does the same thing in Fall Guys because I've heard of people who play with their friends who have a low MMR and get put in lobbies with people who have low MMR, but again it's not confirmed or anything just a hunch.

So I don't think skill based Matchmaking is God awful It's a cool attempt to try to appeal to skilled players but it definitely needed more time in the oven.
Tbh I actually wouldn't mind if they took off sbmm for solos and added it in to duos or squads because then you would actually be rewarded for getting first and you don't really have to worry about 6 year old helmet boys and griefers that much but they would definitely need to tweak the sbmm before doing that because if I saw a full MARBELLOUS or Golden Knight squad I would just leave
I always wondered why SBMM isn't in Squads and duo's, wouldn't be surprised if its because its hard to implement it without breaking it, though it could be cause they found that people play with friends in a casual manner so they wouldn't want to make it competitive, at lest that's my theory on it anyways.

Well, it depends a lot on the type of players, you can be very good, or one who just wants to relax from his week. It's not fortnite apex Legends any shooting game, so you understand me. It's unfortunate to think that the game has to differentiate between the bad guys and the good guys, the truth is, I was playing something solitary and I really don't like it XD. Honestly, but well, opinion a player has more than 2500 crowns who spends his time playing other modes :v
It benefits newbies but the way its setup is bad cause people can drop down to the newbie tier and go to town, though the other modes don't have it so you could just play those but it depends on whether or not you like the LTM thats currently out.

We'll probably get one, but we'll have to see how they implement it, cause if its just ranked and you can get newbies, it defeats the point of it, needs to have some structure to where you can face against people near your level for it to be fair.
They should lock the game at 30fps to make it fair to all players

Ngl because of skill based match making I suck like I'm better than an average player but I CANNOT contend with pros so every once in a while it shoves me into a sweaty lobby and it just ruins my day so they don't need to remove they just need to add more layers
It does need some tweaking, especially now with the 9.0.4. patch lobby count is 40 max so if you screw up in the later rounds even once you're done for.
I have 926 crowns and I entered a game and there was like 4 golden wolfs and 2 golden knights

Fall Guys is a game for _everyone_ and that includes those guys, every game will have hardcore dedicated players. With the way the system is set up its ripped for exploiting so some players have been losing on purpose and falling to medium tier or even newbie tier.

It's not based on your crowns. It's based on your skill score, that's how they decide what bucket your in.

It's either, you're in middle tier and the pro players fell into middle making it super difficult, or you were in high tier and faced the wrath of the sweats, either way your crowns don't matter when it comes to the lobbies you get in solo's.

For its intended audience, newer/beginner players it's helpful however for intermediates and pros it's pretty unforgiving, while SBMM is not perfect I do think for majority of the playerbase who are beginners and newbies its necessary.

I don't think crown count matters, its more like your skill score does. If you remove SBMM it won't stop the high rankers from in your games it'll make it more likely they'll be in your games.

Here's the thing, majority of the playerbase is below crown rank 20, would even say 10. People who are in the 30's and above are a dime a dozen, and if you pair up someone who is rank 30 with say someone who is 50 there is a huge skill gap, so some lobbies would have a hard time filling up, though we all though SBMM would be based of Crown Rank back when it came out in April 5th, 2022.
