Considering there's more galaxies in the observable universe than are grains of sand.... and each galaxy containing billions - at least 100 trillion (largest galaxy we've discoverd) individual stars, each star has the likelihood of having planets each (depending very specific but probably not uncommon circumstances) has the possibility of intelligent life... Its literally a guarantee....Like I believe in aliens more than I believe Florida won last year...
This is like saying "I believe this red paint smells more like blue paint than it does oranges"
A better comparison would be believing in every single religion ever than you do the Leafs.... As a die hard Leafs fan, I enjoy the banter and the chirps, but c'mon man at least make it realistic....

I have to hand it to Leaf fans. The greatest fan base in hockey and maybe any sport because fans always love the Leafs and always believe. This season will be fun because Matthews will get a lot of goals and do moves we have never seen before.... Marner will make wicked plays.... Nylander will come up strong when others might wilt.... and Rielly is the guy who can play with a broken nose during the playoffs. Awesome!

Brought in 3 injury prone Dmen on the wrong side of 30. They are also going into Camp wondering who's going to play in the top 6, and who will be their starting goalie?

I could watch Sarah Davis all day, she's the best from Sports Centre :) Now, the Leafs are a much better team all around than they've been in years. It will take a few games to get going with all the changes from coaching to player personnel. They will be players in the playoffs once again this year, I'm thinking minimum 2 rounds.

Oilers lost their entire 3rd line....their defence is a huge question mark...as is their goaltending.....Not sold at all on the Oil.

If the Leafs stay healthy for the most part of this season and buy into Berube's system, then the team should be tough to play against! Being a soft team, is no longer an option. In your face hockey with no space for the opposing team to move, will result in a successful Leaf team? GO LEAFS GO!!!!
Leafs defense is the best it’s ever been in the Matthews era. Also they have so much depth on offense with like 4 extra forwards ! Our new coaching staff might be the best in the league (look it up and do your research before commenting)
Tanev is old.. Injury prone will miss like half the season..blocks a lot but does not retrieve the puck well and also wont do well with riley playing the o zone more then thr dzone...OEL had a good playoff round...came alive at the end...Hank probaly won't play all year...there old and slow...
@@floopypuncakes tanev completely shutdown mackinnion and eichel 5on5 head to head. Mackinnion and eichel scored 0 goals both in the entire series in a head to head against tanev. OEL just won cup, hakanpaa went 3rd round back to back years. Leafs made major improvements
@pahul79 I have watched tenev play for years..he us good with a defensive partner...Riley is not that...he won't thrive when it's 2 on 1...he has gotten slower..can't stay healthy and gets blown away by faster players.. again cups don't make ypu a great player...storlaz has a cup dude played 1 game and got lit up....oel had 1 very good round...medoicor the rest..and hak didn't do much in the first year in the playoffs and did t play last year...the d got worse

@@floopypuncakes tanev has been a top pairing defenseman since his days in Vancouver. Every team he has played on, he has been an elite top 4 defender. OEL just won the cup. Hakanpaa made 3rd round back to back years. Results speak for themselves, all the defenders we picked up had massive success and are massive improvements from what we had before

Maybe...Players have to gel. Do any young guys push out someone like Lillejgren. They could be a miserable D core to play against once Hakanpaa is healthy. 44&tanev, McCabe&OEL, Benoit&Hakanpaa is not too shabby.

How is anybody confident with the leafs goaltending, they are backups with barely any experience and injuries all the way round maybe except the new guy.. not sure.

Ben Danford says he wants to be the next Tanev. Obviously the Tanev signing wasn't just about getting Chris for 2 years. They want him to be the defensive coach behind the scenes the second he's unplayable from age or injury.
They invested in their future for the first time in decades and its refreshing af. Best D pair in the league. I bet you any dollar. Rielly is all offensive and all he's done is carry the deadweight that's supposed to be his opposite.
Tanev shut down McDavid and McKinnon. The only one who was positive against both their lines in the playoffs.

I the Leafs would have signed 2 big defensemen at 5.5 mil. a year instead of Tavares, they'd have won at least one cup, but as many as 3 by now. What a miscue, defense wins championships, I've known that since I was 10 in the 50's as a peewee defenseman, boy...shame, I was hoping they'd end the drought, but there is still a chance. Good luck beating Montreal this year...lol
