Not saying I agree, but they can’t be sure you aren’t filming people (either deliberately or inadvertently), so I imagine that’s the reason.
Its an easier and simpler rule to just not allow filming : their premises, their rules at the end of the day.
Yeah fair play. I agree you are just reviewing food. However its private property and they have the right to tell you not to film. They could have removed you from their outside space if they wanted as you are still on their property. Too many people think its ok to film whilst on private property. Theoretically you should ask permission first. Filming from public areas eg the road or public footpath is fine
Telling a customer to not the film is the equivalent of saying "Can you hide away and eat your food without showing anyone, because we're not confident in our food" 🤣

Only once went to a Stonehouse and never again. Happy to take our money for 6 of us for breakfast, but there was only about three items available and all of those were burnt. Refused to cook any more and refused our money back so we ended up paying a fortune for coffee and a couple of pieces of toast. Absolute disgrace and will never visit again, for any meal whatsoever
This was a good shout, Lee. We went here last Saturday and it was fantastic!

We are regular Stonehouse customers, and love their breakfast and Roast Dinners! You would have thought they would welcome the publicity! ( Did you know they are part of the Miller and Carter Group?) Very fair review, Lee!

The sign is a pizza paddle and a pizza. Surely the waffle was for bacon and syrup and they obviously don't have anything to hide as they said you could film outside and they are quite within there rights to request you do not film on the premises. It maybe company policy.

The reason they don't want filming inside is that some of their regular patrons might not want to be publicly exposed on TH-cam or any social media as being so frugal or cheap and they might be there with their weekend lover. 😂😂😂

Abit of click bait there mate usually your bang on with titles and videos but felt a little bit let down this time the breakfast looked good and that is bad that mushrooms are extra you weren't thrown out at all though all she said was cant film inside should of called the video extra charge for mushrooms and that would of got your veiws

It looks like a good breakfast, but I cringe at the thought of how much of that has been fried in toxic seed oils.
I’ve got a task for you, Lee. How about finding a breakfast restaurant or fish & chips place that uses no seed oils; only animal fats like lard, tallow or duck fat. Find one of those places and you can rest assured it will be a cut above, because they’ll be conscientious about the ingredients - likely the quality of the meal and taste will be much better.

Thank goodness such nonsense never occurs here, in Japan. Punters quite often take photos and video footage in eateries, pubs, etc. The staff will frequently offer to take the photos or video featuring families or bunches of mates without being asked to. What’s going on in England sounds utterly bonkers.

Agree with you about the waffles and mushrooms, for the money it's fantastic value.
Our Stonehouse also does a breakfast pizza, it's very nice!
The coffee is always great too.

Tip, fry bead in olive oil. gorgeous. Vegetable (seed) oils are heavily processed and not healthy.

Lee, a bit of an exaggeration as you were not thrown out of Stonehouse. Also, don’t dwell too much on the woman that told you that you can’t film your brekkies as so many are paranoid with no knowledge where photography is concerned. The worst tend to be security guards that try to stop people from photographing “their building” from a public sidewalk.

Glass cups - Yes! Always thought I was weird for thinking hot drinks taste better in glass cups. I have a large double walled glass mug which I always use for tea and coffee. Tastes better and stays hot for longer
I thinks it’s kinda funny how you knock the buffet for offering waffles, which you chose to put on your own plate.

I am glad that you are feeling better Lee and back on a decent breakfast. This looks like a good one for an affordable price except for the the mushrooms! Good for a buffet that are sometimes not as good like you said.
Hi Lee. We regularly use our local Stonehouse here in Solihull, and we've been to 2 different ones in Norwich as well whilst visiting friends. Have to say we've never had a bad meal in any of them. I've never had a Toby brekkie but Stonehouse all you can eats are definitely better than Brewers Fayre ones. The sausage are always very nice, I love the fact they're the only buffet places that serve fried bread as they're essential on a full English (although I tend to find them a bit too crunchy but that's the fact that they're sitting under a heat lamp so that can't be helped). The beans and tinned tomatoes are microwaved mate which is why they're watery. Black puddings there are always good. Eggs, bacon and hash browns too. Every time we've been to a Stonehouse I've given them an 8 every single time as they all seem to he of the same quality, unlike other establishments. I'll give yours an 8 too as they look just the same as the 3 we've used.👍. I hate those toaster things too buddy. They're a pain. I have been to one that does use a proper toaster though.
As for the filming. I find it ridiculous too. You weren't doing any harm. I'm not sure whether this is their policy all over the country, or just this place. Actually, when I'm next at my local one, I'll ask them that very question.

I worked in a Stone House Mons here in Liverpool left due to the way I was treated. The quality of the food is good it's aimed for the pensioners an the travelling people even who have meetings. The carvery are worth it too.

I guess that you do it for reactions from us subscribers, it does seem a bit contrived though.

Lee, its all about competition copying their presentation. It's not just food industry that do that either & to be fair they didn't really kick you out for it. Love your vids by the way mate.

Looks good value at £5.99 even without the mushrooms, plenty of choice. People are unclear about the rules concerning filming - as is clear from some of the comments. I think that includes the staff member who spoke to you. She was simply being overly cautious - I'm surprised you don't get that reaction more often, even though you're doing nothing wrong.
I'd have a plate full of hash browns covered in fried eggs with beans poured over the top.. hash browns are the best part of a breakfast imo

I am in a Stonehouse having exactly this as I write this. I am fortunate to live near one and this is my go to for a cooked breakfast. Love the fact they do fried bread and the sausages are great. I have never understood why they charge extra for mushrooms though. I agree about the Waffles, but if you think they are bad, you should have seen the "breakfast pizza" they used to do!😂

That for £5.99 plus your coffee was great value tbh. Sausages looked spot on and the egg had a runny yolk for once. Usually they end up hard boiled. Solid 8 from me but no higher.

Heinz beans have always been watery and tasteless, and Branston are wonderful.
Lidl beans or Tesco own brand beans are both better than Heinz! Lidl own brand ketchup is better than Heinz too, the only brand that none of the supermarkets can better is HP Sauce (or Daddies either)

should get permission to film in businesses, not assume it's a right. That said, the breakfast looked really good quality ingredients and warm plates. Looked a solid 9 to me.
Lincolnshire sausage? I rate Toby's very highly for breakfast. I did eat a lot and no waste, but then, I did have to gain weight. Was a lot cheaper and seems a lot more variety. I would give Toby's a clear 10

The cheek of that woman telling you not to film your breakfast. It's your breakfast, you paid for it so you can film it! The fact you were allowed to film it outside makes it even more ludicrous. As long as you're not filming people without their permission you were doing nothing wrong.

Hi Lee, I went for breakfast to a place called harvester a few weeks ago. I've got to say it was excellent. You get it all cooked fresh. You can have 5 of every item accompanying all that with unlimited lavazzi coffee unlimited. The bread was a beautiful farmhouse bread with sachets of lurpak. Give it a try sometime. Great to see you looking better 👓

I play in pubs and various venues. I get filmed all the time, no one ever asks if it’s ok (I suppose I’m performing), and I just accept it. In fact they are often also filming their drinks or meals etc too. I do the same. It’s just the way things are now and companies especially need to embrace it.

The ones at these places that do my head in are the ones who load up their plate with enough food to literally feed an army, then waste more than half of it. Put less on your plate and go back if you need more. I've seen folks waiting for food whilst these wombats take it all then waste it.
