One of the greats of the blues & jazz, Joe Williams. A man that has transcended 3 generations, & still doesn’t receive the kudos & accolades of his performances. He was considered to be Frank Sinatra’s favorite singer & was one of the singers who could easily transition from jazz to blues. Retired for 20 years, came back for another 10 years of performances. His improv was unmatched. Talent extraordinaire…👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Just finished reading his biography. B.B. had a kind and understanding
heart. He always tried to embrace all people regardless of color or social
standing. He most certainly paid his dues.
Seeing this for the first time as we don't get these tributes shown in Australia. Love BB King and the seeing the magnificent Miss Etta James walk out and use that magical voice was incredible. Then the Queen of guitar Bonnie Raitt. Love seeing these Kennedy Centre tributes on TH-cam which will keep our music alive for many years after we have gone. I'm, 59 years old and have my kids and grandchildren listening to the blues and they actually love it. Thanks for posting this for us all to see and enjoy.

Wow!!! BB was truly one of the amazing musicians to ever live. It truly makes my heart swell with love and pride that a man from such humble beginnings like here in MS was so loved by ppl all over the world. He was truly a blessing
I've watched the Kennedy Center Honors for years and I really think most of the big legends of music have died already. Little Richard was the last and he never received such an honor.

I had a chance to see BB King at the Lowell Auditorium in Massachusetts. I think it was around 2007 maybe. One of the guys that works for me was a bouncer there. He got me tickets balcony, straight shot looking right at the stage. I'll never forget that nostalgic feeling I had. I ;lay guitar so t see one of the legends was a true gift

Love Luis, But, Having played guitar myself for 43 yrs I cannot help but say, That little Gibby POS he's playin does not sound anywhere near as resonate, Rich, Dominating as BB's Lucille
Why he ever wanted to play that in place of a real guitar......... Hell, the kid that comes out has better tone on his Fender
