I don't think Gameloft is really interested in improving this game anymore. They don't even fix the bugs (by the way I still have the gauntlet problem). If they were it would be easy to stop cheaters from playing. Every day we have to face cheaters in multiplayer and this is annoying.
I tried this game for 3-4 months in 2019-2020, but then left my account and haven't checked it at all. Then I tried it last November again. It took me about 11 months to start from scratch and get to top 100 in the Elite Gauntlet with 4 fully upgraded S-class cars. My fifth one wasn't Pro at that time, but I managed to Pro it about a week later (and I have another one MP tuned that I use for fun occasionally). Yesterday, I mean, 3-4 days after I made a full year with my new account, I got the King Of The Ring achievement (1000 MP victories), just because I wasn't even trying to achieve this, otherwise It would've been done in less than 1 year of racing as well. Considering that I'm an old, f2p Windows player, with slow reflexes and skill issues - I'd say that all that was done in a relatively timely manner, despite the fact that I probably had to race for about an hour a day, almost every day. So maybe despite all the nonsense of Gameloft, A8 Events, MP, Gauntlet etc. stuff and Economics are at least so-so reasonable in terms of rewards as a whole, even for the f2p crowd (IMHO). Yeah it is annoying when bugs happen and one cannot get the rewards of a certain Event, TR etc. But hey - at least the devs allow the f2p crowd with a lot of effort to compete with the p2w whales and/or to earn stars / helmets in the Single Player mode, and to have some fun in the process. However, at the flip side of the coin, it has been waaay too long for GL to keep their unfair prices (i.e, if you wanna buy a 5 minute booster, it cost you 18 000 fuse coins, but if you wanna sell it, you get 360fc for it and the situation is even worse with the wild cards). An old guy like myself, might get annoyed with this, but to shrug it off eventually, cause, since I am a f2p... gifted horse, right 😄. Yet I understand why someone young will see these and all other shenanigans of GL and decide that "you have to cheat to beat". So I cannot be too upset about the cheaters I bump into occasionally either. I am pretty much only annoyed, when they use their cheats to wreck me in the MP, but then sometimes they crash themselves afterwards.... As DBT would say - Karma 😁Justice is served IMO. So, whether the devs do something better (either for Thanksgiving or for Black Friday) or not, I'll still be happy (if I play during these days, that is, cause I do not play every week lately). I don't know what all these bugs, bad deals unfair prices etc look like from a p2w perspective, though. Yeah, the prices don't make sense when you take "how much to buy" and "how much to sale". I think if you sell an Ultimate Upgrade it sells for like 3k. LOL

The discounts on cars for Black Friday are not discounts at all. According to Gameloft the Reventon should cost a staggering Euro 160,58 without discount. The same is true for the other cars on offer. In the EU it is illegal to advertise with discounts when the actual discount is far less or not existing. Gameloft is now braking the law.
As I mentioned in the video, technically they did sell the Reventon at that price during its Treasure Rush, LOL. But yeah, I hear you. I agree it's a terrible practice to pretend something is on sale with their "66% discount". And yeah, in places it's illegal, but I doubt someone will take legal action for it. And thus the circle continues
Who is so stupid to spend a 1000 Euro/Dollars on a computergame? This game is worth no more than about 30 Euro/Dollars per year at best and only because the game is backed up by servers and continous updates.
IDK. Look, if someone want to spend 1k on the game, and they have the money for it, good for them, and good for the game. Whales keep the game funded, so that's not a bad thing for all the other players that don't spend on it.
So unfair that for some people the Gauntlet is fixed but for others like me it is not. Gameloft has not even responded to my request to customer care. I have a ticket but I have no idea if anyone at Gameloft is working to fix my problem. There is also no guarantee that this problem will not persist with the next Gauntlet.
I did my lap for the Black Friday event with the Tachyon Speed because I own that car and the Reventon and Naran were not free to play when this event was just available. Apparently Gameloft changed this? Or maybe these cars did not become available until the discount offers were there?
The top-up construction does not really seduce me to spend money. (I already have the Solus and the Racingpass was not too interesting for me, because I already own a few of the cars) It's nice to get extra rewards when you do buy something, and some people will do so. However, the best top-up rewards are really way overpriced, as you mentioned. It's all good though. I like the Dark Friday event. Top 4 % right now, so I get the Chaos Queen and the stylepoints. What I do not like about the Chaos Queen, is that you can not combine clothing with different Avatars and create something new. Also think there should be a Chaos King at the same time. I am using a male character, and I want him to have different shoes, so looking for an avatar with nice shoes, which I can take. (For example) Another thing I am wondering about, is if there is also an icon/logo/helmet for the Chaos Queen. It does not seem there is one. I would like it.
Top Up just seems bad IMO. 10 days to spend 1k USD? that's nonsense. And like you said, there's not really a good incentive to even go for it. Granted, the Deus is allegedly a great car, but if instead of 10 days, it was, IDK, 3 months, maybe someone would be more inclined. Either way, I dont like top ups at all.

There’s still a few days to see what happens after Thanksgiving and also on Cyber Monday. I know Legends Unite will do something on it with the IDR, so maybe they can do something with it, like some cool EVs, or some that are used in career. Either way, I’m at 22k tokens and I think next week, I’ll try my luck to get the Fordzilla, and see how the drops for the Lykan Neon and Aurora TUR will be.
Even before this campaign I met in multiplayer racers who already had this suit (one had the nickname champion)! I don't even know who they are! Developers or cheaters?!
I don't know for sure. But i doubt it. So long as they can make more money than they spend on maintaining it, I dont see why they'd shut it down, and we've been in this state for the better part of this year. It seems to me it's just in "maintenance mode" with tiny additions and just trying to sell stuff, as per usual for these types of games.
