Bluetti EB3A Review. What a Powerhouse!

  • Bluetti was kind enough to send me a EB3A Solar Power Generator to review and IT IS AMAZING! This thing is a powerhouse for being such a small device. It can pump out 600w of AC power! It also packs a LifePO4 battery so you are going to get over 2500 cycles! That is a lot of years of constant use. The Bluetti EB3A can also double as a UPS battery backup for a CPAP or Computer System and it costs about the same.

    I wish more manufacturers had an option to leave the display on or allow it to time out. I prefer to always have it on. It basically doesn’t require hardly any wattage at all. Having all the ports on the front really helps if your power station is in a cart/stand

    It will wirelessly charge my airpod pros. This is a great sized for my sidecar. At home, I make up for the limited storage by connecting it to my two 12v forklift batteries and 2 100w solar panels. That gives it plenty of power storage acting as a hub.

    Curious if you've done any more testing with this unit on concurrent charging/discharging. The battery size isn't all that great, but if you can supplement from your solar 24v battery system or even tool batteries to extend the life, it would be a game changer.

    Hi Jim, Thank you for your videos. I have a question about the Eb3a coupled with a 100ah lifepo4 battery. I saw your other video where you showed multiple connections to charge. Let's say I am boondocking with a friend who has dead AGM house batteries in her class C RV and no solar nor generator are available. Would the Eb3a plus a 100ah lifepo4 plus the 20A Hasito battery charger you reviewed be able to charge up the house batteries? Would the Bluetti be able to keep up was drawing from the Lifepo4 Or would it be better to plus the RV (with a dogbone) directly into the Bluetti with the lifepo4 connected for capacity? OR is there another way? This scenario would just be for recharging house batteries while at camp while the RV refrigerator (works on propane when unplugged/ works on electric when using shore power) is running and everything else off except for internal monitors. I'm wondering about this for an upcoming trip when we will be away from plug ins for 5 to 6 days. Thank you for any input!

    • @OffGridBasement
      @OffGridBasement  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The EB3A would power the charger just fine. The battery would put about 100w of power in the Bluetti, but the charger would take out at least double that. It wouldn't be able to keep up. I would suggest getting a small 1000w inverter to power the charger. Take the EB3A out of the equation. Hope that helps!

    I am wondering if you can charge this with 2 DC batteries, 1 at solar input and 1 at usb PD, ?

    • @OffGridBasement
      @OffGridBasement  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You might be able to connect a battery to the Solar Barrel plug. That would charge at 8.5amps. That would give you about 114w of charging if the battery is at 13.4v, but realistically you would probably get around 100w. The unit doesn't allow charging from the USB-C port. It's output only. I hope that helps!

    im not that happy with the B3A i find it depletes energy too fast. It charges fast but also discharges way too fast. I sometimes run my 10 amp battery charger that only uses 150 Watts. The EB3A will become fully discharged in a little over an hour. I'm guessing i should bought a bigger unit.

    • @OffGridBasement
