We visit a traditional farmhouse in the French countryside that’s been forgotten for decades.
We move through crowded hallways before ending up in a room completely unspoilt by the hoard.
It’s quaint style takes us way back in time.

The Tektronix computer you saw at the beginning was built in a city where I used to live in the USA. It was built in the city called Beaverton just outside of Portland Oregon. They had quite a big campus in that area. It was interesting to see it in a video from France. With some research I discoveredTektronix also had operations in Europe, South America and Asia. European factories were located in Saint Peter's, Guernsey (then in the European Free Trade Association) until 1990, [21] Hoddesdon (Hertfordshire, UK) and Heerenveen, Netherlands (then in the European Common Market ). Not a computer it was an oscilloscope

Very interesting that the first bedroom has a nicely made bed and area around that, then a definite perimeter where the hoard begins. I've never seen a room in a hoarder house like that before.

I wouldn't be at all surprised to find out that some ambitious explorers who wanted to get some awesome photos cleaned out some of the mess to accomplish that. If that's so, I'm glad they did. Especially that living room. Beautiful.

@@karengumke387It did appear to be staged now that you mention it.

@@karengumke387 Yeah I find it weird too. Tho what I find VERY is the trash looks fairly new (I'm French for context), so it's really weird to see those precious 70s (and older) memorabilias, and then GiFi bags in some of the rooms, that's a store that only exists since 2004 for context. So I still feel like the hoarders came a good time after the house was first abandoned.

I love the "fireplace " shot! A radiant , old world, not designed for wood burning but used atmospheric radiation. 2 pillars on both sides were neg and positive heating up the plate on the back wall. Notice the lack of soot on the front. The decorative metal things on top of the roof peaks gathered the atmospheric energy.

I'm guessing that a printer lived there. I noticed multiple stacks of identical printed papers, magazines, print proofs of calendars in those large green folders, and the created storage shelves were filled with file folders that often contain the details of print jobs before computers were used for layouts. Those old model computers could have been programmed specifically for printing.

Absolutely the best explorers out there! The rest pale in comparison. We always look forward to your next video. We also love the narration and research that's brought to the table. Your videos even make us laugh. Jess's reactions to different odors has got to be the funniest "ughhh...it wiffs". We love you both but would recommend that the both of you wear masks in some of these buildings. You never know what kind of spore may invade your lungs. I remember one particular video where Jess had indicated that the smell was so strong that she could "taste it at the back of her throat". We want you both around for years to come - bringing the best of the videos to your many fans!

That last part with the very deep basement was unnerving. And Sam, Jess was clearly stressed out going down there, why couldn't you have taken the camera and filmed it? Just the fact that there was nothing down there, told us the owners avoided stashing away their collection of boxes and stuff down there. They didn't like that space either. And that early piece of technology looked like a word processor from the 1985... maybe.

Some of the stuff looks like they were bought in lots at an auction. You bid on a crate of boxes. Auctioneer saying there could any treasure in their like coin collections, deeds, jewelry, etc. Maybe they were hoping to find things to sale so they had more money to live on. Their income may have dwindled down and they couldn’t keep up the house inside nor outside. Or as they aged many people fear they won’t have enough to live and they be destitute. Might be partly why it has been abandoned.
