I bought 10 sealed Pippin’s off of eBay about a decade ago for 100 bucks plus shipping. Still have them. Been waiting for one of you TH-cam guys to get people excited to flip mine lol. Thanks RetroRick.

@@Cavlo I bought them because I had never heard of them, thought the price was too perfect. And then just had them in my collection. Then I noticed as TH-camrs mention games and consoles, the price goes sky high.
We are on our way to the store my son is super excited
I would rather have the Pokémon games all CiB than a system that I would never play.
But there's a lot more chances to get those Pokemon CiB games then there is a one of a kind console.

But I'll take a console that no one else has any day.
As a 43 year old man from the uk 🇬🇧, life gaming for me started with my Amstrad cpc 464 and the Commodore 64 but the tape cassette versions pre disk( oh the hell of loading games) but I guess you could say I grew up in the game console boom era, I started with the NES, then SNES, mega drive, game boy, lynx, mega cd, then moved into the PlayStation consoles to my current ps5, all still stored in my loft.
but what I love is when you show rare consoles from random company’s that never made it to the uk 🇬🇧 like stuff from Japan and the USA that came from company’s you would never have thought made game consoles, super interesting.

First time I saw one of these was in a Bangkok retro shop called O Corner. This shop has some super rare items but the cost is high as they import I assume from Japan. It is rare but not everyone knows what they are unless you are super into Apple retro or deep into “other” retro stuff

We know 3 guys wanted to pay $600 plus for the Pokemon but if you went around trying to sell the Apple, would you have anyone wanting to buy it for $600? If the answer is no, then you know which one is more valuable
Not true. So many more people know about Pokemon than the Apple system.
That’s not how value works lol. If we are talking about what’s easier to sell then yeah, it’s obviously the pokemon, but that doesn’t mean the other isn’t as valuable.

It's a sweet idea: trading some of the best Pokemon games from the OG gen of games for a grail. The problem is I think you tried selling with businesses instead of collectors. If you tried selling with collectors you'd probably could've gotten more for that trio of gameboy grails.
pokemon prices make no sense right now. 3 CIB going for 650 here, 1500 on ebay. singles going from anywhere from 150-500 without a big difference on condition or edition. i don’t even know anymore.
Nothing more appropriate for the guy who talks about video games to try and hock mattresses - what kind of sense does that make for the company to do that? It's like when ASMR channels talk about Raid Shadow Legends with a bored look on their face when they obviously don't play a single game.

Yeah if you try selling to Rick or Phoenix you're going to get just above old GameStop prices for those games. It's ridiculous then they turn around and sell them for like 50 60 bucks
Why? Its basically a plastic box that looks like a console. A little bit too niche a market. Maybe a museum piece but definitely just a dust gatherer for at home.

all gameboycolor pokemon games always seem less valuable than the other games because the save feature can stop working over time. but these games still go for about the same as other good authentic titles👍
That save feature is really easy to fix

Very very few. i think less than 20 in the US and about 80 in Japan but most of the japanese ones are garbage.
