Great that you cover in your vlog Zamboanga City... I grew up there and finished my college... This city is safe... Mainstream media destroyed the good reputation of the city... Zamboanga is the only CHAVACANO speaking city in the Philippines... Chavacano is a broken spanish language.... Enjoy the warmth and generousity of the people... I suggest the you visit the beach in Sta Cruz island... That's one the best beaches in the city... Try to the famous dish SATTI... Thanks for visiting our beloved city

Carinderia is a small eatery in the Philippines serving home cooked dishes. When you were pointing at each dishes, that’s exactly how you do it that’s why it’s served in “turo-turo” (point) style. However, The word carinderia came from the word “kari” which is a Tagalog term for curry.😊 enjoy Zamboanga😊

In the early period hindi pa dumating ang mga Spaniol as Zamboangan a small fishing village, every market day fisherfolks dock at the fishing village carrying a bambo pole or bakawan which served as samboang a post to tie its outrigger boat. When the spaniards arrived to the place they twisted the word zamboangan to zamboanga.
