Eric Carmen is an American singer/songwriter who co-wrote and recorded this song in 1975. Since it was based on the 3rd movement of Sergei Rachmaninoff's Symphony No.2, Rachmaninoff is listed as the other writer. Mark Holden is an Australian singer/songwriter who covered this song in 1975. At the time Eric Carmen's version was not released in Australia.

This song is a direct take from the 3rd movement, Adagio, Symphony No2 by Segei Rachmaninoff, a Russian composer. It is absolutely beautiful to hear in a concert version.
could of sworn eric carmen wrote this in the 70s; " "Never Gonna Fall in Love Again" is a song co-written and recorded by American pop rock artist Eric Carmen. It was released as the second single from Carmen's self-titled debut solo album, the song peaked at number 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in June 1976, remaining in the Top 40 for ten weeks.[1] The song reached number one on the Billboard Easy Listening chart.
