line "See you in the Perfect 25" or "25 stay foever" refers to the plotline of the game. In the plotline you seek a killer of your boss in Paradise number 24 and about to move to the perfect islands of 25 where demons suppose to not have any influence.
Oh I'm so happy to see someone talking about Paradise Killer! I adore the soundtrack from the game, very easy to listen to. I think it's most inspired by Japanese citipop, if anyone is interested in this style of music. You're right that the pleasant-ness of the song is hiding something, it's a major theme of the entire game. Paradise Killer is about a cult who think that they can create the perfect Paradise for themselves, and aren't afraid to sacrifice as many lives as it takes to get it. You explore their island paradise, and take in their exaggerated oppulence and the decay and rot it's built on. Marble statues to goat headed dieties, sinking into the sea. A golden ziggurat filled with blood. It's a really fascinating and surprisingly deep world, when its aesthtics are so poppy and silly. And it's a murder mystery! It has some indie jank, but I highly recommend anyone who wants to checking it out.
The thing I love about Paradise Killer is the tone. It's a murder mystery with some dark undertones but potrayed through colourful vapourwave and jazzy music. It's a contrast that somehow works and is fairly unique for the gaming space.
I'm pleasantly surprised to hear that this song is quite pleasant to listen to. I could find myself having a karaoke night with this song. Just some sad/nostalgic feel good vibes.

Same! Can't wait to see the next project from this game dev.
I like listening to songs from the most obscure and unpopular games that no one talks about, there's just something special about that
I had this track in my playlist for about 2 years and have just seen actual gameplay of it. It's so good that this track just works out of context.
