I think CD Project Red should release a World Of Witcher sort of game so you can be a Witcher you can customize and take quest and contracts in it while interacting with other players as a spin off game to the Main Witcher Series just like they did with Gwent....
Geralt meeting the Elder Vampire is the only time I've ever seen him really frightened, he knows how powerful and terrifying they can be. I'd put him above Wild Hunt for sure.

Another note to add is that the Crones of Crookback Bog own a fiend. They require ears as payment, from seemingly innocent peasants that need help. They can summon this fiend to collect the people that desperately need help.

A correction on the origins of Baphomet at 7:26 in the video, the Templars created their own new idol deity, believing that it was "an idol which Muslims worshipped", however Muslims do not worship idols and none of the attributes of Baphomet can be found in Islamic beliefs, besides perhaps being made of fire. Supporting the devil connection is the cockatrice card in Gwent: When removed from the board, it'll summon a chort or a Fiend (I forget which), hinting at the witch ritual.
Are you thinking of the cow card? It summons a chort when it is removed in reference to the way they patched the cow farm exploit (spawning a high level chort to kill the player)
The forest fiend is such an odd and evocative creature. I have been trying to put it into D&D (or other systems) After this video what I got is: it is resistant to nonmagical weapon damage. It regenerates. It can use it's third eye to cast Blindness or Hypnotic Pattern. Chort instead is better at charging enemies. While fiends are wild creatures, they also are hinted to be summoned from hell by witchcraft and infernal rituals. Good strength, lots of health, resistant to mind-affecting magics due to it's bestial rage and instinctual psionic nature. In some isolated communities, the Fiend is worshipped as a companion to the Leshen forest spirit. In other legends, the Lord of the Wild Hunt is described as riding a Fiend like a mount. The secret society calling itself "The Hunt" wears the three-eyed Fiend skull as a brand of membership, though few Hunters have survived encountering the elusive arch-predator.
I'm impressed by your research on the real-world Slavic mythology. It's spot on. "Czart" and "Bies" really are synonyms for "the Devil" and they really are considered to be mischievous instead of simply evil.

I have done so much research on in game and still cant come up with anything solid or concrete on what he is where he comes from or who he is. I believe gaunter is the devil or at least some sort of demon what with the making pacts at crossroads, stealing peoples souls and using the words of the pact to trick people like devils do in lots of cultures. It especially reminds me of faust who was tricked in a similar way to von everic in HoS

There's a mod for Skyrim that adds these same monsters but renamed as daedric creatures called Howlers and Wendigos. The mod even includes a random chance to spawn in the Bovine Defence Force every time you kill a cow.

There just going to reiterate what everyone says on him they don't have much more than tales and fables. Gaunter was made to be mysterious so many people want to know who or what he is no one has answers and they seek these light colored lore videos which basically tell you what u should (if u delve into witcher lore ) already know
When I was killing Howler the Chort, I got glitched inside of him and all I had to do was hit him and I was immune to damage. I was severely under leveled too. I was level 12 during this level 20 Witcher contact.
I found a fiend near “Road to bald Mountain” when you enter the cave entrance you will end up exiting a different place , I found a fiend right when I left the cave.
I believe that's because the fiends seem to have a close relation with the crones, SPOILER ALERT if you haven't finished the story, near the end of the game the crones are found inside the base of bald mountain, I believe this is why the fiend you found was there.
I find it interesting that the anti cheat patch only works after killing *six* cows. The number 6, when repeated thrice, is heavily synonymous with the devil, satanism, and the like.
It's a good thing fiends and chorts generally avoid mankind and populated areas. If they were carnivorous or actively predatorial, I doubt anyone would dare raise villages in the the wilderness. A beast that huge would batter through any wooden walls like they were paper.

Actually when i was playing the witcher 3 somewhere in skellege i took a side quest and i fought a chort and it used it third eye but it was a bit different things did turn dark but you saw like weird letters and a red eye as it came closer so that one chort did use its third eye the others didnt so it could be like a different type of chort? Idk i thought i mention it.
