Recently, a lot of old Polish wool carpets have been transferred to our laundry. They are characterized by a rich and unique design. The carpet that I wash today comes from an old carpet factory in Kowary. I tried to squeeze a little bit out of it to keep its beauty 💪😍🌊. I invite you to watch.

Not only dirty water, sometimes it looks like they put almost clean carpets into a mud.

But fr, its obvious and contrived when some of them intentionally soil carpets to clean, I'm glad I'm not the only one who clocked that lol

I think a great deal of the colour in the water as you scrape is dye, because of how vibrant the rug is. The water is too light to be dirt, and too orange to be urine. It certainly needed to be cleaned, and looks much better for it. 😁😍

It's a 40 year old rug but surely it was cleaned before? It's hard to imagine having something that long and not taking good care of it. Now that it's clean, it's beautiful!

That looks like a combination of urine, tobacco smoke residue, and dirt. What a beautiful transformation in this rug. The colors are so vivid now. Kudos to you for bringing it back to its original beauty.
I thought a lot of powder makeup and smoke.

@@slingingblueberries5714 I think alot of orange dye and some red also came out. It seems to do that often with the antique and hand woven ones that have natural fibers.

What a beautiful rug it's gorgeous. Especially enjoyed the camera angles on this one...with the squeezed water going directly into the drain..my favourite bit is always the pressure washing down the edges. Thanks for all your great work 👍
Looks like some of the color is washing out also.
A lot of red and yellow dye in rugs, especially the older ones, is “excess”, present but never chemically fixed into the wool. For some reason it doesn’t usually seem to happen with the blue colors.
You can tell by how it doesn’t leave the white bits pink.

The dirty water scraping, then extraction from the machine gave me a tingly feeling.

I have no doubt this rug was dirty but, I'm also wondering if some of the dye used back when this rug was first made are now fugitive with today's cleaning products and techniques.

I've been watching your channel for a while now and really like to see how bright the carpets look after you are done cleaning them. I do have a question. Do you ever clean carpets and then the owner doesn't pick them up or can't pay for them? What do you do with the carpets if you can't locate the owner? Maybe you could add a "Frequently Asked Questions" to your 'About' page on your channel.

Yep, that thing was bleeding more than a blood donor. Dirt and dye all mixed in, but at least the rug seems to still be vibrant in color.

What a beautiful rug. When expertly cleaned by yourself, it had a glowing almost 3-D appearance. I feel it would look better as a wall hanging than something on the floor for dirty unappreciative feet to grind grime into!

Now I'm curious about the rugs, where are they coming from? Private estates, or perhaps government offices? It is a beautiful rug. It's always so satisfying, watching you restore the beauty of these carpets.
16:46…..there is just something about the spraying of this solution and the the raking. To me, this is the ultimate scrub. The prior water treatment relaxes the fibers and then you just scratch the itch. The fibers just give up the dirt!!! I have to tell you….this is always my favorite part of the cleaning…..when the fibers gives up the dirt with that scratch. Please don’t call me crazy. I just enjoy these videos.

have you ever thought about hanging a rug from one end vertical and letting he wash water just drain off and then bring the carpet down and do a scraping??? I did this to one of our rugs. Put it over the dog fence ( 6 foot high ) and rinsed it for some time until the water ran clear. Took it down, scraped it, and hung it out to dry.
I love this pattern! It looks like ornate brass grates over a fire. Wish I could have nice rugs, but I have dogs. So stinky!
I can't tell if that's dye, paint, or red clay residue but that's a vivid color of dirt!

The rug was used at the “orange flavoring division” at the koolaid factory. 🤣
For being a 40-year-old carpet it's been kept up!!! Suggestion for the owner though: If they want it for another 40 they need to take it to a reputable carpet repairer to have the edging repaired cause it's starting to frey.
Proper care of a carpet significantly extends its life 🤗💖
