as a current senior in college, getting ready to take on adult life, it’s crazy to reminisce about my time taking ap phys 1 in high school. For prospective stem majors, what you learn in this course becomes really significant for your future physics classes in college. I only got a 3 on my ap but i urge all of you guys to try and retain this info through high school and college. Much of the information you learn could help significantly when studying for the mcat in college! Good luck to everyone who took the ap and i hope you guys did better than i did 😅.
I watched this video in April 2023, I used all his tips and practiced a TON and I got a 5 on the 2023 exam, I wish you luck if you are studying for this exam in future years, Study hard, you got this
I am in such an awful situation for this ap test. My ap physics teacher hasn't gone up to the board to teach us anything, she just assigns us videos and quizzes, and it's gotten to the point that she just doesn't grade some of them for how awful we do. Obviously we all have 6 days until the exam on the 11th, but I also have ap world, so I'm gonna be exhausted, but I'm getting all the practice I can for knowing basically nothing about ap physics
im deadass word for word in the same situatio. i have ap world and physics on the same day so its gonna be a nice 6 hours of testing straihgt. i dont know a single thing about physics and am genuinely fucked rn.
Dawg I feel bad for u I thought i was doing so shit on the practice exams but the test is so fucking hard they grade really low and I got a 4 so I need to make a final push to get that 5
BRO SAME!!! my teach doesn't grade crap and they just assigned everything first day of this semester and was like "ok, y'all got this." i think as long as you understand and memorize each equation and what they truly mean you can understand just about everything, but like, THAT'S STILL A LOT OF FRIGGIN WORK.
i'm absolutely in a interesting fricked up place for this. Test is in 14 hours and I still don't know how angular stuff works that well. Especially the mcqs being cenceptual is a bummer for me. But honestly, I just did mcq practices and I think I'm understanding more than ever in a way. We'll see. Oh btw my FRQs are .... yea didn't do those that well. Someone should remind me what I got and say it here. Adios Gl to everyone else
Ill be honest dude, why bother studying so much for these AP exams when they literally don't mean anything but hey I took the Physics 1 test when it first came out (2014) and got DESTROYED with a 2 lmao
Who has both world and physics on the same day? :D I put so much time and effort into APWH that I am completely lost and absolutely fucked for the APP1 exam tmr😌
its a bit late for me to get 2 months of practice in ;u; but I have a pretty decent understanding of physics 1. Do you have any specific resources (videos, websites) to improve the qualitative reasoning? ill definitely be buying the mit prep book for when I take physics C Mechanics next year. When you did do the MIT prep book, how much time did you spend doing through each unit? (ex: kinetmatics 2 weeks, Newtons 2nd law 1 week, etc...) Thanks for the video!
@@thatguy720 plss tell me how it is for you rn, how are the tests, and the workload!! I'm strongly considering of taking it in my junior high. I'm scared of failing to due to the low passing rate but do u think i should take it next year? if yes what should i take in consideration before signing up? also do u think it be useful if i start self-studying in summer to get the basics to do well in class? i would appreciate you response.
@@njno4407 Hello. I’m currently a junior taking this course, and boy can I say, it’s a lot of work, however, keep in mind I’ve never taken any sort of physics or introductory course before this, I just went straight to AP. Now, I actually do recommend you take this course, not just because it may suit you for your future career, but it is a really fun and enjoyable class despite its workload and challenging concepts. So far, I’ve on,y finished first quarter for AP physics 1. My final average was 93%, which is good, however my teachers style is probably different than most. He tells us to learn the topics and material at home ourselves, and then we go to school and do practice problems. He doesn’t actually teach us, he’s more just there to help. But then again, I wouldn’t consider myself the smartest person ever, so I think you’ll definitely be able to score at least as well as I did, probably higher. I’m not yet at the AP exam in May so I cannot really say anything about that, however, if you decide to take it, I’d consider an introductory version prior to it (if you haven’t already taken it), but again, I know students who are have averages 100+ in the course without any knowledge prior to physics. Make sure you have a decent Algebra background because it is an algebra based course. YES! please try to get to know physics over the summer to give you a boost for what you’re gonna learn. The course flies through units quickly and it’s mostly hard to grasp concepts because you don’t have much time to learn them well. Don’t let the fact that it’s the hardest AP class scare you, because it really isn’t terrible, it’s just a lot of work. You’ll need to refer to TH-cam videos sometimes, so don’t be afraid to use outside sources. You’ll be just fine, and remember, a few bad grades isn’t the end of the world and won’t kill you, talk to your teacher if you need help, you’ve got this! 👍
