Your really good at your small business I love all your jewelry.
As a small business owner who is in college right now I would keep your business during college. Especially with everything going on in the world you're going to have so much free time that there's going to be ample time to do well in school while managing your business. I have a friend who shut down her business when she went to college and a few months later she instantly opened her shop back really quickly because she realized how much free time she had and how much she missed it!
good to know! i may put it on vacation mode to begin and allow myself to get used to my schedule, but if i find that i have time for it, i will definitely keep it open! i also have to figure out how to bring all my materials with me, as my dorm has limited space and i will be living 2 hours away from home, so i don't have easy access to take trips to bring more supplies. it'll be a lot of trial and error until i figure out a happy medium!🤍

Yay! I look forward to new videos :) I have 2 questions. Did you find it hard to start listing on Etsy? I am trying to list in my shop and it’s taking me FOREVER. All the things to fill out before listing I get lost lol …does it get easier once you know how to post? Lol and number 2 .. are you able to put anything in mailbox instead of going to post office? I make keychains too so was wondering if they are light enough to ship from mailbox?
creating listings on etsy before opening your shop can take forever. it's takes like half the time now bc i'm so used to it, so for me it does get easier! and i do put packages in my mailbox for the mailman to pick up since my packages are small and the jewelry is light. i don't overstuff the mailbox though. i ship keychains in the mailbox all the time too, so you should be good! :)

Nice videos! What do you use to film the videos with? I've been trying to make videos with my iphone and it's just not working out well, lol.
i have a canon gx7! it's super easy to use! the only complicated part is transferring videos to my computer to edit. so for that reason, sometimes i still film on my phone to make the editing process easier!🤍

How do you do the shipping labels? Im starting my small business up soon and im not sure if i need to have a label maker/where to buy one or if i should just hand write address for start with?
you can definitely save money by handwriting them, but if you start getting lots of orders i recommend getting a label printer! etsy creates the shipping labels for you and then you can print them! i used to print them with a generic printer and cut them out and tape them to the package. but now i use my rollo printer and label paper to make the labels. you can find cheaper label printers than the rollo too!
I own my own Etsy shop too AllThingsArtByGiGi I started out with jewelry and went no where so I expanded to everything related to Art my top seller is magnetic pacifiers for reborn baby dolls. I sell them like crazy it’s odd lol and yesssss Etsy fees suck! Lol never had a bad review tho lol but your right Ya can’t satisfy everyone
How big are your mailers? Just want to figure it which size I should get before I make a big order
it depends. the small ones are 4x7 but i have bigger ones that are 6x9 for bigger orders. if needed i have boxes too!

hi! it is totally what you feel comfortable with. most sellers use their home address. you could buy a P.O. Box at the post office and have that be your "business address" so it isn't your home address. totally your preference!
Hi! I have a question: how does restocking really work? When u restock, u put new items and restock the ones u already have? Id be happy if u respond :))
the term restocking usually means re-making & stocking up items that you currently sell. new items are usually called "launches" which is when you launch or create something new.

it does. but at least you can have a shop! i just got everything to be under my name bc i'm 18 now, so it's worth it!🤍
Nobody is asking how much money you make, net? Is it enough to live on or are you supported by your parents (rent, food etc).
i do not feel comfortable sharing numbers, but i am supported by my parents because i am a freshman in college this year, so i am still living at home half of the time. when this video was filmed i was still in high school, so i lived at home full time. orders have slowed down significantly since then, but at the time, i was making almost equivalent to a part-time job and obviously not paying for rent or much food. so it's a good side job or part time job depending on how much you are selling. every month is different too, so keep in mind that i'm not always making as much as i used to. :)

i don't really have a lot of advice, a couple of my older videos blew up so i gained a lot of subscribers quickly. but now it has leveled off and so now i am just trying to post more consistently to gain subscribers. hope that helps! :)
