    I believe the notation is a 360 (full-circle) motion, not a half-circle. You basically will spin the direction right after you do the pp and have to immediately press throw. I believe the window is somewhere between 2-5 frames for you to press H+P. The difficulty in execution is why it does so much damage. Keep practicing and I'm sure you'll get it. Many of those "high level player"s practiced their character notation.

    you mean .. offensive HOLDS...
    they were mentioned in the Triangle system vid after covering each of Strikes, Throws, and Holds individually, as OHs have a dual function and could not be explained without covering holds first.

    As another arcade stick user I also prefer pressing H+P instead of a throw button. Even when playing on the controller for the original xbox I didn't use the macro. I had A = Free, X = Punch, Y = Kick, and B = Free. In versions of the game where it didn't allow one input on multiple buttons I set B = Free + Kick. That's because I could hit all macros from there: A + X = F+P, X+Y = P+K, B+Y = F+K or F+K+K (Which is F+K), and A+B+X+Y = F+P+K+F or F+P+K+F+K (Which is F+P+K).

    have this issue with a throw with ryu hayabusa, the Shoso izuna, the window for combo throw appears so fast that is hard for me to do it accurately especially in online play counting the lag. I can do the throw.. sometimes, but I can never do it 100% of the times I try it. my main issue is that I don't know when to actually push the button, I understand that you can do the half circle right after you do the PP combo and wait for the window to appear but I still can't get it 100%.

    How do you perform cliffhanger throws?

    Nice tutorial. One question though, what exactly is the total number of frames during a combo throw input window?

    you press throw (H+P) when the cloffhanger sequence happens. .. lol (I'll be describing it in more detail in vol.11 the environment hopefully)

    I really enjoy that tutorial. Everything is clear and concise for new players. Can't wait to see next episode. :)

    So you can't escape command throws? Only normal throws? 😐

    • @shehzaanaabdulla3047
      @shehzaanaabdulla3047 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Jay Williams My understanding is that you could just throw out a strike and you'll beat out any throw as long as you are in start-up. That would let you beat an incoming command throw. If you were in a situation where you couldn't move (recovering from a whiffed attack for instance) then you couldn't escape a throw anyway (command or otherwise) so it wouldn't matter.
      It also looks like command throws do less damage than neutral throws, or the follow-up parts can be escaped (even if you were recovering when initially thrown) mitigating how much damage you take.
      From that I'm guessing the idea is by going for a command throw you are opting into a throw that can't be escaped but at the trade off of less damage.

    I personally only use the 3 buttons as I am a stick player. I'm not a fan of button binding in any game really.

  • @EMPER0RC0W

    it varies .. depends on the throw

    actually I meant the shoho izuna. can anyone help? I manage to learn a little more and I can do It about 60% of the time, but when you are playing high level player everyone that plays DOA knows that one bad opening it could be he end of the match. the funny thing is that I can do every other izuna that ryu has.

    Seriously, how the fuck are you supposed to press H+P? They're across from one another.

    • @EMPER0RC0W
      @EMPER0RC0W  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Bruce Wayne H+P = T .. you should have a button mapped for throws

    • @BruceWayne-tm9rh
      @BruceWayne-tm9rh 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      EMPER0RC0W Yes but why did one part demonstrate pressing T and another part demonstrate pressing HP? They were clearly specified differently in this tutorial; one of them is faster and such.

    • @EMPER0RC0W
      @EMPER0RC0W  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Bruce Wayne you seem to have misunderstood the tutorial.. the comparison was between normal throws and command throws. Normal throws (either H+P or T) are faster than command throws (for example forward+H+P or forward+T .. they mean the same thing) .. the reason I did not place T as a separate button in the whole series is because arcade players only use the 3 main buttons: H, P, and K and have no access to macros (a single button producing multiple inputs)
