What did I learn today? Well I learned that Carpetbagger is not as tall as an adult Manatee, but he is bigger then a child manatee. I figure he is just as tall as what a preteen manatee would be.😁 This comment brought to u by Random Facts😂
Hey Jacob Don't comment a lot. But thank you for taking me with you on this road trip! I'm having an awesome time 😎 Just ordered a pin and postcard. Keep on doing what you do!!!
The title of this video is great. Yes, it takes a while to drive through Florida. My family and I would drive from Ohio to central Florida. It took forever.
I live in South West Florida my family through the years has gone multiple times to Chicago driving it would take like half the day just to leave Florida it’s nuts
Enjoying your road trip! We love to drive and stop to see interesting things on the side of the road also! We were on Rt. 66 and turned around to take a small side road and as we turned, there was the Blue Whale! Of course we stopped and toured the whale and visited with a lady in the gift shop! Great memories!
I first heard of Bratwurst from Phineas and Ferb. I had it once when I was in Germany when I did American Music Abroad in 2016. We were preforming in the Holiday Town of Gunzerhausen and it was scheduled earlier than usual due to a soccor final that was between Germany and France. After our concert, the mayor of Gunzerhausen gave us all vouchers to use at the food place across from where we were preforming, as well as free sparkling water, Lemonade and soda prior to the show.
The Christmas tree collection is for all the trees they collect so they can distribute among the local zoos because the larger animals like elephants love to eat them. Stay well Mr. Carpetbagger and I really enjoyed this tour.
I Drove Big Rig Flatbed back in the 1990's ..out of Tampa Fl ..Came in off The Big Road and went on as a State Driver .home everynight..Hauled Sheetrock ..Been all over the state of Fla ..Cool to see it again
Grew up in Madison Wisconsin, and we just call it a brat like you did, Milwaukee and Oshkosh was just right up the road from us, a Wisconsin staple 👍👍👍
Thank you, Jacob the Carpetbagger. This was another enjoyable vlog on the very scenic Florida coastline of the DIXIE Highway. I’m very interested in the places you are stopping at and taking the time to show us. Much obliged, sir. Cheers from Old Highway 66 in central Oklahoma!
Brats aren't everywhere in Texas, but there's some communities with a strong German heritage where they're served in great quantities for tailgating events, during Oktoberfest, etc. But it's more of a folk food, you may find them for sale at specific events, but it's not like a restaurant type item usually (unless you specifically go to a German food restaurant), kind of like menudo.
I only just discovered your channel last summer (2020). You have kept a smile on my face throughout all this Pandemic 💩WE ALL LOVE YOU, CARPETBAGGER... Safe travels. 💞 from the UK. 🇬🇧🤝🇺🇸
For season 2 of your endless trek across America, you should pick an east-west highway. You've already done Route 66. I'd pick US70 since it runs through Tennessee. The National Road or Lincoln Highway would also make good choices. I'm glad I can pick up one of those postcards off the etsy shop.
Brats are available in many Resturants here in Michigan, though they are the food of choice at fairs and sporting events. Thanks for the Oceanside views. It makes me feel a bit happy in these cold February nights.
It's 61F at 12 noon, here in south Florida. It's freezing cold! Carvel ice cream shops sell those ice cream cakes with oreo cookie on the bottom, They are a south Florida icon.
Jacob! I loved hearing about the pins on your hat. Thank you for taking this trip. It is a joy to watch and you make me laugh every morning. You'll be home soon ❤
There were once Carvel Ice Cream stores everywhere in Florida. I bet that is the last one still open. I miss them. Great ice cream. Also, glad to see Burger Inn is still there.
Stay strong Jacob. I Would loose the loney on the rode Aspect. Your viewers are here with u . I'm here in your truck with u and a duck enjoying what we can't experience. I know family is important. You just seem sad
You carry so many wonderful memories on your hat. Loved hearing about your pins. I never knew where the Good Year Blimp actually originated from, I always thought it stayed at the little airport in West Mifflin, Pa. when it floated around Pittsburgh, Pa. during various events. I've heard they had sand hauled in to the beaches, but never seen it done 'til now. That would be an all day job! I did get to see a tractor rake a beach one early before daylight type of morning in Virginia Beach. I think I seen the shipwreck. I love your drone footage shots. You are good with that drone. Yes, I tried to wave back at you yesterday, but, I don't think you saw me. Sometimes I feel like I'm right there with you. Have a wonderful rest of your day!
Thanks for the tour of your hat. That was really interesting and The House On The Rock is my favorite roadside attraction too. Also, brats are popular in Minnesota too. If you ever see a place that sells brat bites as an appetizer. Get them! They are amazing!
Oh cool, Jensen Beach. That's where I live! You took video of exactly where I fish, right under that big bridge. The fredgies is right next to the bait shop I go to, too. Some nice houses by the water, there, really expensive. I was excited to see if you were going to take any video of my area.
I lived in Florida back in the late '70s, and the state had all sorts of oddball mom and pop shops...and that's a good thing. Bratwurst isn't all that common here ( Kentucky), but they're definitely a thing in Cincinnati...
If Dixie Duck continues to ride with you on adventures maybe some of your viewers might buy a Dixie Duck pin......by the way......no Superman Museum pin on your porkpie hat?
Around 3:50, you're literally around the corner from my house, Jacob... Hahaha. I knew the moment I saw the Carvel, and the Chuck Norris on the karate dojo.
Thank you for all your wonderful travels, they sure have made lockdown so much more bearable. You certainly have made me much more observant of my surroundings . I will never walk by a sign and look at them the same again. The beaches look so inviting along the way. You have a nifty pin collection . I guess by your comment you no longer have a public post box which is too bad as I had a post cardcwritten ready to send you. Keep Safe❤Keep Well ❤
you make quarantine so much more bearable! Thank you Carpetbagger!

Thank you!
You look tired today, please be careful. Love the road trip though. Please be careful
Gene Wilder never comprehended that his best role was Willy Wonka. It is a timeless movie for the ages
Hi I agree 👍, watched the remake and hated it, have you ever seen haunted honeymoon, with gene wilder in, it's Brill
Definitely my favorite children’s movie

Personally I'm more of a Young Frankenstein guy. Plus that one has Teri Garr!
Was able to get one of the postcards from your drop in Kissimmee at the Polk County marker! So excited I was able to get one!

Thank you for this trip! Being in snow covered Ohio this part of the Dixie highway trip is a helpful escape even if temporary!
Wisconsin has the "worlds largest brat fest" in Madison every Memorial Day weekend. 🌭
Enjoying your road trip! We love to drive and stop to see interesting things on the side of the road also! Yes! US-1 trip! Suggested that on the live last Thursday and you said that'd be fun lol
I have lived here my hole life, dude you have showed me thing I never seen. Having a great time with you. 🤗
I highly support the route 1 road trip, come on up to Maine! And save some of those coasters for us :)
Live in Wisconsin and brats are definitely a staple. Love them! Like mine with horseradish mustard, onions and sauerkraut. 🌭

Hang in there you'll make it back home soon. That was interesting learning about all the pins on your hat.🧢🎩
The Christmas tree collection is for all the trees they collect so they can distribute among the local zoos because the larger animals like elephants love to eat them. Stay well Mr. Carpetbagger and I really enjoyed this tour.
Loving the road trip watching from the uk currently bed bound with a trapped nerve in my back 🤣 watching these keeping me sane 😜🤘

Florida also has a TON of roadside attractions and oddities, so it makes some sense that it's taking longer.
Grew up in Madison Wisconsin, and we just call it a brat like you did, Milwaukee and Oshkosh was just right up the road from us, a Wisconsin staple 👍👍👍
Get some rest, Jake, the road is taking its toll on you.
This trip has brought back so many memories. Going acrossthe Tamiami Trail and the Everglades so much fun. TH

Lots of cool mascots for local businesses

For a minute I thought you meant brats as in bratty kids and was thoroughly confused.

I can't believe you mentioned the Manatee joke from Dr. Katz! It was one of my favorite moments from one of my favorite shows . Jim Gaffigan.

Those lapel pins are awesome...🤘🏼 You gotta few that I'd like to add to my personal collection...💯✔
You are my favorite youtuber right now. Best series yet. Thanks Jacob.

More good use of your drone. Very entertaining journey.
I remember that Dr Katz episode... I think Jim Gaffigan was the comedian with the manatee bit. Great show!
-You can call me the manatee!
-Yeah right, seacow!
