Thanks for Watching!!!
There is a very distinctive sound when you hammer the throttle on a two popper that I have never been able to figure out being a six cylinder guy lol
It’s definitely different 🤣
You will get it done you always find a way to make it work
Thanks Mark!
Ross, I owned a VAC once. Bought it at an auction and used it for about 5 weeks. I sold it as soon as I realized how hard it was to access things for repair. A nice running tractor but hard to work on. Not a good combination. Especially in 1000 degree weather. 😂
I enjoyed driving that tractor after more than 50 years. Thanks!
I'm real glad Ross got it going so you guys could enjoy it👍
It was neat to see it driving back on its original place.
I liked it good work
Thanks!
I guess we’re lucky here in Wisconsin. It’s about 900° cooler.
🤣🤣🤣
The flip up hood is a good ideal on the case but they should have made it where you can flip it forward. The Ferguson TO-20 we had as a kid had a flip forward hood and it was really handy
Yeah this is just backwards. Someone at the factory wasn’t thinking.
Be careful in all the heat I'm learning to walk away when you are that close to Hell's Gate! most of my things can wait until morning!
I usually work until noon and then go seek out the shade 🤣
These videos of you working on NOTs ( Non Oliver Tractors) sure makes me glad I was in an Oliver family.
Me too. Or should I say #metoo because I definitely feel like a victim when I have to work on them.
I feel your pain on the John Deere. Last September I spent a week and a half working on the paint on my Oliver 66 and it's absolutely nowhere near perfect, but it's good enough for me. On that orange tractor, I think I would probably have been so frustrated that I would have cut that flip-up hood off with a torch. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣 thanks Charlie!
look around for the light bracket that came with the hitch it mounted it to the right of the battery box.
Good video
Thanks!!
Funnily, I don’t remember you working on my combine .😂 I don’t get much sadness with my wire’s that way ,see . I think I’ll put some alligator clips on them tomorrow (you made me self conscious see .) Tomorrow will be better, have a drink and relax .
🤣 thanks Mark!
Can't Afford Something Else, good old Case
🤣🤣🤣
You are amazing, hahahaha. I was ready to say some bad things way before you, hahahaha. That has to be in the top 5 of bad designs. Gotta love some of these engineers buddy. Thanks for sharing. You deserve some ac and cold lemonade. See you soon.
Thanks Jonathan!
Two cylinders seem to be really finicky on air-fuel mixture. If you get them rich enough to start without choke half the time they'll foul out spark plugs when it idles for awhile or when you're just putting around a show ground
Heats been unbearable here in the U.P. as well !
It’s almost worse than the cold!
Heat equals frustration.
So true!
🤣My brother has the Case fever too, they're an ignornorant POS to work on
🤣🤣🤣
Now you know that if you need help with something that I’ll help if I can but there’s just some things that a friend can’t help with lol
🤣🤣🤣
This video makes me feel better about getting mad at my stuff when something simple turns into a two day ordeal 😂
🤣 thanks!
You finally heard me. I kept saying take the battery box out 🤣🤣
Those fenders on the B are 700 to 800 by themselves the way they are. Your correct those clam shell fenders are getting hard to find in good shape.
In 1966 l was 15 and l bought a 1944 A john deere and it had factory fender just like that B gave 390 for it and it had not been used for a couple years l went and bought a radio for it it cost 139 dallors my dad was so proud of me!!!!!! radio john deere umbella and 2 row cultivator man l was tall in the saddle!!!!! but in 1969 l traded for a 1957WD45 and have drove ACs ever since!!!!!
Your videos are always good, working in very hot weather always shortens the temper and makes everything wrong, does the gauge panel loosen somehow
Thanks Doug! Unfortunately The gauge panel does not.
Ross, when did you get sheep 😂.
🤣 🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑
The animal sounds are just funny, the hog at the end .had to stop and laugh!
🤣🤣🤣
Boy, do i know that feeling! it was about a thousand degrees here today too and the humidity was terrible. My mood went south when i spent part of the afternoon turning brake rotors in a little room that was so hot you could barely stand it!
Good job. Looks good. Keep up the great work.
Thanks Tom!
My uncle fell of a 6' step ladder and broke both his wrists. It was kind of a freak accident. He was fine other than that. Needless to say, he couldn't wipe for a while, ha ha!
Oh my that would be awful 🤣
John Deere, the Harley Davidson of tractors, or vice versa
Only 2 cylinders, sure 🤣
You sure made the JD look sharp!! Grandpa must be very proud! I always like your videos!
Thanks John!
I took my A to shows and parades without sticks on it.
Good job making your uncles day.
Thanks!!
Love it buddy. Your troubles are just like mine.
Thanks Steve!
Loved the video Ross. Was good to hear all of the farm animals are doing good and are able to handle this heat. Thanks for sharing this adventure.
🤣🤣🤣 thanks Keith!
👨🔧🚜👍👍
Thanks Tom!
That GoPro sounds like hired help I'm hot I'm cold I'm hungry I'm thirsty where's my gloves 😢😢😢
🤣🤣🤣
This was pretty funny, and I’ve been in the same situation a time or two haha! Nice to see the Case. My Papa always says you have to talk to them sometimes!
Heat is so much fun 🤣🤣🤣
A friend of mine had a B that was overhauled with m&w pistons and ran a coffee pot dryer for years . Working it that way was good coz it was a strong one
Cool!!
I think you did a nice job on great grandpa’s Deere. The one nice thing about these old John Deere’s is there are plenty of people around with experience working on them. Your uncle looked like a kid having a blast on a carnival ride. Them waffle eat’n Can-add-di-ans pronounce it dec-els…weird.😂
🤣 thanks Cory!
I’m 54 Ross and I’m pretty sure that until the 20 and 30 series except the orchard ones I never saw one with rear fenders
These were on it new
My B and 60 I pull the choke until it fires, yours runs much more better, I think I would have taken a big hammer to the Case
My 60 is dialed in pretty good. 3/4 choke and not much throttle until it fires and 1/4 choke for a minute or two.
Hahaha oh man Ross, I feel your pain and have been in those situations myself many times. It makes you want to take a shop hammer and beat the snot out of it till it's a pile of scrap metal. Great video.
Ross that design of that dashboard and everything is a pain in the🫏🐓🐷🐮. The John deer is looking good. Is fair starting this coming up weekend? When you go to put the decals on the tractors that is neat if you videotape putting on the decals can see how you get them lines up and looks like it should. Thanks Michael
Thanks Michael!
That hitch sounds like the 801 hitch Deere offered, they used it on the letter series and the 10 series (50,60,70). The 20 series 2 cylinders had 3 point integrated into the build.
I’ll have to dig out that book but I think it does say it was for the 50/60/70.
@@rosstheoliverman They worked somewhat, not as good as a true 3 point system though
I have a low opinion of those Cases too Ross....I guess thats why I stick with IH 😊
They’re frustrating 🤣
My grandfather's one demand before buying a new '42 A was fenders. So his boys could ride somewhat safely. Rare option. One of the few 2 cyl that will start with 2 or 3 rolls of the flywheel. Looks great. Be safe.
Thanks Brad!
Oh no don’t get in the mouse piss😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣
Oh dear sadness and heat not a good combination
Thanks Stephen!
My brothers have few orange tractors case d and sc
Cool!
Hardest thing I’ve ever had to do was learn to wipe with my other hand
🤣🤣🤣
Your Ross the JD man stop trying to impress Chris. And you play with it all the time and never feel bad about it .SEE
🤣🤣🤣
🥵🥵 Too hot to GET hot about working hard CASE. Great video Thanks
🤣 thanks Thomas!
It be OK just keep on trucking
Thanks Jerry!
Sorely tries your patience when a ten minute job turns into a 2 hour? fiasco. If you weren't working in a narrow deadline, things would miraculously fall right in place...leastwise that's been my experience.
And 2 Allis wd45s
It always seams that the little things are the worst, and it is hot as Satan's arm pit . We took a couple of tractors to the fair the 1750 that I bought that was my uncles last year in fixed up and the 2150 it go's because of the tractor pull . The other red n green Boys don't like when that ol girl shows up don't like getting beat bye a off brand and I just smile grandpa bought it new in 69 been one heck of a workhorse. It's blazing hot here to and need a rain . From turkey creek farms be safe n thankful
Rattle can overhauls... looks okay... by the way Ross those fenders were an option... I have 2 of my Deeres one 1943 B and a 46 A has those fenders
Thanks Glenn!
I'm going to have to show my wife and three girlfriends the ending to this video to prove to them that bigger isn't better. Also, it wouldn't be fair time if it wasn't 1000 degrees out.😂
🤣🤣🤣
And I thought I was the only one who yelled at inanimate objects like it's feelings were going to get hurt. Just curious if it was 1000 degrees Fahrenheit or Celsius? Hopefully things go better in the next one
🤣 thanks for watching!
i can see why you want to take a hammer to it
When you get angered stand up hold hands upwards towards the sky spin around 3 times stop and stomp your feet 4 times then ask yourself, why did I do that for ?
Don’t know if that will help . But I bet it might funny.
🤣🤣🤣 thanks Keith!
Mr. Orange: Not designed well around the instrument panel.:(
Someone was sleeping the day they designed that.
We're going to get it done for you, I'm making sure you got a place to sleep, food to eat, helping you rebuild your lives in Rolling Stone
The fenders are rare
I thought they weren’t as common.
