I remember these being disappointingly slow, especially for the power output. The 93-95 Lighting had the same HP rating and would absolutely blow the doors off of these things.
The lightning was also quite a bit less weight. And made more power. And had a direct mount S/C to motor. These had a side mount S/C with a small restrictive tube that lead it through the stock intake. Which you could imagine would not perform near as well as the SVT setup.
@forgottenmuscletrucks my bad, I meant the 1st generation Lightning 93-95. They were heavier than the Dakotas & made 240 hp compared to the RT's 250 & yet the Lightning was much quicker.
Stop being so pedantic. A lot of people call it a truck, and most DMV offices classify it as a truck based on its specifications, which is why you can get them registered on truck plates if you want and not be required to wear seatbelts. haha
Nothing like the sound of a supercharger... One beautiful Durango. I have a 99 SLT.
These Shelby editions are very cool...
I love the Shelby dodge Durango
New wheels for sure
i would have guesed sp would be shelby performance
SP = Super Pursuit (www.shelby-dodge.com/99-durango-sp360.html)
It's too bad that the. Dodge Dakota didn't get the Shelby SP360 treatment as well.
Well, the first generation did
SP=Super Persuit 360=HP output :D
Gil Garcia beat me to it.. SP stands for supercharged? Yeah, sounds like a typical salesman, doesn't know shit.
I came here to say this but knew in my heart it had already been said, lol. He said "SP stands for supercharged."....uh actually no it doesn't, lmao.

Cerullo Performance Seating made the seats for the Shelby Durango. This seat style is still available without the Shelby signature. www.cerullo.com

So how much is this one?
It has a brutal exhaust leak...
For the love of god it is an suv, not a truck
These are trucks underneath. They are body on frame, and based on the Dakota which is a truck.

MrWolfSnack dmv bases what plates off of weight, title reads subn
It literally is only difference from the Dakota Is it has a full boady instead of a bed
This is one ugly SUV dodge made..
