    I've been. making this for 20 years and you DO NOT need to heat it (saving dishwashing). Just mix the ingredients together in the final container and shake and leave for a few mins and you're done. Plus that ratio 1:1 is VERY strong for most people, and they will feel a stinging on the skin. Better to start with 2-parts water to 1-part Magnesium Chloride Flakes, then adjust as necessary.

      I made mine without heating, but it is like a dull yellow/brown tint in color. I added 66% of the flakes and 34% water. The flakes I used from Ancient Minerals are made of 47% MgCl and 53% crystalized water. I wanted to make a 31% brine like is usually sold directly from the source, It just doesn’t seem to come out well when I try making it at that concentration. When I spray it on myself it also doesn’t burn like my bottle of Life-flo does. Same happens when I use a 1:1 though the color is still off. Most brands I see that sell oil from the source like zechstein appears like totally clear water. I am using glass contained and rod to mix. Seems like there are impurities in the flakes.
      Before I tried your method without heating I had also tried heating it in a metal pan and got brown cloudy floating pieces.

    Magnesium gets contaminated when in contact with the metal spoon and metal pot. I would suggest pouring the boiled watter into a glass container with the flakes, then stir with a glass rod, or a silicone spatula.
    Also measure and add extra distilled water to discount the evapourated water after it has simmered. Tricky, but worth it if you need an exact strength and a well calculated percentage of Magnesium oil.

    • @richarddonaghue965
      @richarddonaghue965 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have seen commercial brands of magnesium oil. All of which have preservatives in them which totally defeats the point of the product. Since the main reason that we are all magnesium deficient is because the nature of magnesium is such that it is very easily neutralised rendering it useless for our bodies to use. The irony is that the preservatives which are introduced to commercially available products which are required by law will normally neutralise the magnesium which in turn renders the product useless and anyone “giving it a try” will be disappointed and decide that magnesium oil is of no use. What do they reach for instead? Pharmaceutical pain killers. 🙄
      Keep it pure. ✌🏻

      Yes. There were two longtime members on "Psoriasis Inspire Forum" that by fluke healed their Psoriasis with High Dose Vitamin D3, Vitamin K2 Mk7, and Magnesium Oil on skin (Synergistic Effect) for two months, then dropped down to maintenance dose. NO dairy or Calcium Fortified Foods. Turns out excess calcium has been found in Psoriasis Plaques which indicates we may not be metabolizing Calcium properly. They started their own website and outlined their protocol for free, no sales gimmicks, just your testimony. Very simple and worth a try. High dose of vitamin D3 could overwhelm liver, so you could take Milk Thistle as a precaution. I'm starting this protocol myself.

    • @BumblebeeApothecary
      @BumblebeeApothecary  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! For magnesium deodorant, you can just use the brine and add some essential oils, and then either spray or roll it on. If you wanted to add magnesium to a stick, you'd probably have to do a powdered version, like whizz up the flakes in a coffee grinder and ad it along with arrowroot powder. Hope that helps!

    • @richarddonaghue965
      @richarddonaghue965 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The magnesium chloride is basically a salt which in itself acts as a preservative keeping any kind of bacteria fungus or viruses from forming. You could keep it for as long as the water doesn’t evaporate and it won’t go off.

    When I bought my magnesium flakes I sent some to my parents to try. My dad is a bit special and proceeded to pop a couple of flakes in his mouth. When he told me about it I decided to try it myself. So I popped a flake under my tongue like you would with a homeopathic remedy cos there are lots of blood vessels to absorb the magnesium directly into the blood stream.
    It has a very strong, almost unpleasant taste but if you keep it under your tongue you don’t get the full whack of the taste by the time it has dissolved.
    I call it the double whammy hit cos you get the magnesium both ways….by direct absorption into the blood stream and also through the digestive system. Not for the faint of heart. Lol

    • @BumblebeeApothecary
      @BumblebeeApothecary  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'm not sure, I haven't tried it, but I don't think it would work. Magnesium "oil" isn't really a true oil, but a brine. Hope that helps :)

      @a_mandalorian 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It will not. I tried it in my first batch and it stays hard and will not dissolve. Definitely only do it in water

    • @richarddonaghue965
      @richarddonaghue965 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      No!!! Don’t do it. Magnesium flakes are hygroscopic which means that they absorb water from the atmosphere. It is only called magnesium oil because it feels oily NOT because it is an oil.

      Yes you can, it will work but it's not as bioavailable as the Chloride Flakes and you won't absorb as much through the skin.. It will work though I have done it and noticed I was calmer and so on, so yes you can try that if you don't have the Chloride Flakes and it will work just not as well IMO.
