    I bought my Horizon travel bag about a year ago to replace my Alienware Vindicator 2.0. I feel like the older bag had slightly better build quality than the new one. The zippers were nicer, and shoulder straps were a little more padded, it also came with a small bag for putting the power supply into which is a nice touch.
    The new bag can fit so much more stuff which makes it so much better for travel for me. I can fit my m15 laptop and a 14" mbp in the small pocket and still have a bunch of space in the main compartment.
    This is a really good bag.

      That's a tough tradeoff from build quality to size. That included power supply bag sounds pretty nice. Glad you're liking it and it's been holding up. I hope this lasts me a good while.

    After coming back from PI, i've realized how important it is to have a good personal item/backpack and I was sold when you showed me how robust the trolley strap was. The easy access pocket would be great to put boarding passes, passports, and other items you need to get to on the fly. I just purchased this backpack along with the X16 R2 with the current sale going on and i'm so stocked. Great video. Subbed!

      It's got so much room and the trolley strap comes in clutch. Congrats!

    I am picking this up for my travels to the U.S., Mexico, and Qatar later this summer to go with my new Alienware m18 gaming laptop. Helped me make my decision to order one!

    Thanks for the review. I'm looking for something that will fit my 17 inch laptop with charger, mouse pad, controller, IEM case and will protect my laptop from impacts. This seems pretty good but may be a little more than I need and seems overpriced. I do really like the minimal look and top pocket but it not being able to stand by itself is kinda a dealbreaker.

      You're welcome! Shop around and see what works best for you. There's plenty of large (30L+) bags out there. I think the Alienware has a great price to size ratio going for it.

    Good info. I'm a huge fan of backpacks for any purpose where I don't need more space, when I'll reluctantly use a roll-about bag. My current favorites are Peak Design's smallest "Everyday" backpack, which has insanely good padding for carrying expensive and/or delicate camera gear plus anything else, and Belroy which makes super light weight backpacks, but with bery little padding, for a laptop and not a lot of other stuff. Just some things to check out since you like to travel this way.

    • @TaylorBrauer
      @TaylorBrauer  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      This is def a huge backpack. omg, the Everyday backpack looks so good! Thanks for those suggestions. I'll be checking out Belroy as I've never heard of them before.

    You asked about the airplane emblem. Many airports are upgrading their scanners when you go through security. You would open the bag all the way, put on the scanner belt and it would go through their systems. All that being said, it will sometime feel that each airport has their own sets of rules pertaining to what is taken out or left in your bags. Also, as far it being heavy, you need to sinch up the straps so it is not dragging itself as much as it is "on" your back. I was in the Army for 21 years. I have carried my fair share of backpacks.

      how is the bag? You think you your shoulders/back will hurt after 1-2 hours carrying it with a gaming laptop?

    • @TaylorBrauer
      @TaylorBrauer  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@lars5727 With a single gaming laptop it should last you a while of use without feeling uncomfortable because those pads are pretty thick. That's assuming you're not putting in a huge 18" laptop.

    Good video dude...Im considering this to replace my super old bag that i bought with my M18x R2 years and years ago, love that bag...the inability to stand up could be seen as a positive tbh, like it forces you to keep it next to you leaning against your legs or chair when travelling, keep it close etc for secruty reasons. Well done on the vid, regards from England!

    • @TaylorBrauer
      @TaylorBrauer  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you! The bag is huge and can def accommodate larger laptops. It makes my 16in MBP look tiny. The slant at the bottom is my largest gripe with it. I also took the lanyard loop off as it swings around a bit too much. It does fit nicely under an airplane seat though!

  • @cinematic3054

    airplane picture inside mean is compatible with travel requirement to the bag-so you can safely stowing under seat place or beyond head in baggage tray

    I have a 50€ coupon from a prior Dell purchase, and the backpack is currently priced at 130€. Should I buy it for 80, or can I find better value elsewhere, for example the Horizon Utility backpack which is 85€? I didn't necessarily want to spend money on a backpack but it would be useful, as all I have is a small Eastpak. Just trying to get the most out of that coupon code.
    Edit: nevermind, it's only multiple 20€ coupons, I can get the Horizon 18 Travel Backpack + a small backpack for a total of 104€

    Do you know if this backpack is capable of safely transporting an m18 R2 laptop plus 1, or even better, 2 portable 17 inch (or 18.5 inch) monitors? Can't find any reviews mentioning laptop plus external monitors. Great vlog.

    • @TaylorBrauer
      @TaylorBrauer  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's advertised as holding up to an 18" laptop. It might hold an additional external, portable monitor but I'm not positive tbh.
