    I had never heard of Stitch Delight until I watched this video, but now that I have seen their web site I will be buying designs - my only problem is deciding which one to buy first. Thank you for showing this design, and directing me to an amazing designer

    Thank you Sue, you always show such wonderful designs. Now I just need to find the time to work on more of them. The scuba fabrics sounds like fun to try.

    Like this demo. I just got my Dream machine and really would appreciate seeing anything that shows some of the special features available on the dream machine. Many thanks. Keep up the great job. Looking forward to new episodes soon.

    I have some of the stitch delight designs and they stitch out so beautifully. I've never ventured into scuba fabric, having watched your video, it gives a much better sense of how the fabric behaves. Maybe if I can source some, I might just have a go! Thanks for the tips about working with it.

      It took me a bit to get used to the fabric, but it works wonderfully with these type of designs. So pretty!! and yes, i love everything from stitch delight :)

    Can you use one piece of fabric and just move it. Are there registration marks? I would love to make a baby quilt with this design. Thanks a ton for you awesome videos! This is just gorgeous!

      I bought the Sure Cuts a Lot 5 pro software which is keeping me really busy with the Scan N Cut DX225. Maybe I will get around to doing this project soon, it is really gorgeous.

    I was wondering why you were using a stretchy fabric, but after watching this video I understand.

      it's really stretchy stuff!!

      Hloreth Terraher I use....don’t gasp....men’s cheap aftershave “Mennen’s or Lectric shave. A little on a cotton ball will take glue off like a hot knife cutting through butter

    Sue, Thank you for this video. I have visited the Stitch Delight website and Daleen does gorgeous work and designs. I have not had the chance to stitch out any yet but I have purchased her Ellie designs for a quilt for my granddaughter. I am also making another quilt with fairies and unicorns for another granddaughter a few years older. Thank you for this video as it gives me more courage about taking this project on. By the way, I also am a fellow Canadian and have had difficulty finding "scuba" fabric - I am from a small town near Calgary, AB. If you are able to source out a good Canadian supplier please let me know. Also, Daleen has some great FSL baby booties that I am going to try.

    Is there any reason you choose that Style of Fabric? Can you use a regular Cotton? Also, on the type of hoop you have, can you not hoop the fabric with your backing? It is so beautiful!!!!!!!!

    • @OMLembroidery
      @OMLembroidery  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Cindy! The scuba fabric is recommended by Stitch Delight. I tried a few times, but I don't think there is any way to hoop the fabric without stretching it! It is REALLY stretchy and having the fabric stretched in the hoop, even a little bit would ruin the design when you are done. I am going to try this with regular fabric from a layer cake, and I will hoop everything then.

    I have a question. Canada use metric measurements , but you use inches because the things come from USA ?

  • @jamesrogers991
    @jamesrogers991 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Did you use an embroidery needle or stretch needle for the stitch out?

    • @OMLembroidery
      @OMLembroidery  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      nope. I always use a 75/11 needle for every project that I do.

      the tutor rose design is from Stitchdelight

  • @amycole8974
    @amycole8974 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    This is not Tudor Rose design. The thing about neoprene/ scuba fabric is it is polyester and does not breath. It's also very heavy and is not recommended for a bed quilt.

    • @OMLembroidery
      @OMLembroidery  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yep, it is the Tudor Rose design, she has many on her site, but here is the link to the one on the video: www.stitchdelight.net/SDS1284-Tudor-Rose-WholeCloth
      Stitch delight uses scuba fabric for most of her designs, so I thought I would give it a try. I am not making a bed quilt, it is going to be a wall hanging.
